My neighbor found a stray dog that is a pitbull mix, and other than fighting with the great dane/blood hound mix my dad has, hes a loving dog. It really doesnt matter where they come from, its how they were treated. My dog (his name is Milo), was abused. So he hates loud booming and will cower when people will yell at him. But he can milk his cuteness to get anything he wants XD and I cant resist

It’s just that once they bite, they tend to hold and that’s killed A LOT of children. Google “pit bull child death” and see all of the articles. I love all animals and I do NOT agree with euthanizing them unless they are sick or hurt too badly.
So, with that said, I think pit bulls or animals known to be -hmm (tough?)- should be more for home of one+ adult(s) but not with children. Or just don’t leave a child under certain weight to be alone with a dog.
I’m so torn on the subject because animals are wonderful; tigers, pit bulls and crocodiles included but I’d never wanna play with one lol those jaws can be RUFF 😁 whew!

My family had 2 dogs and My dog older one who was 14 died 2 months ago and the other one is 4 and she was sooooo lonely and depressed so we got a golden retriever and he is very bad and not well trained but this video was very helpful 😁😁

You know what, *good for you*. Don’t listen to the people who say I don’t care or who say it’s not easy to get a puppy from a shelter. It is the right thing to do so don’t listen to any of these people.

Why the mention of buying from a breeder? No mention of buying from a dog rescue or humane society (and avoiding puppy mills)? There usually are puppies available.
Granny Omaha some people have a specific thing in mind and that’s where specific dogs come in mind and that’s why we will have breeders. While we live in a productive and a high technology society not everyone solely relies on them. Some still need work down around their house, carts pulled, livestock herded, guarded, seeing etc. These are dogs that you don’t always* find in a shelter or rescue so, sometimes someone is forced to go for a breeder but not just any kind. One who is reputable, so no backyard breeders or puppy mills. Also, most reputable * breeders sell their puppies as pets only with a limited contract for spay and neuter so, their dogs aren’t bred and contribute to the growing number of dogs without homes. Not every breeder is bad, go talk to them. I was looking for a show bred golden and I was surprised that many did not call me back haha. That’s a good thing considered they don’t know me (after gaining understanding) and because shows are sold with full registration so, with breeding rights. That’s a huge thing for them so they’re not easily given especially to newbs like me. I have to start with their pets, gain and build trust, probably be a continual buyer and golden owner and then will a breeder possibly(and there’s more to it) give me breeding rights. So chin up, some work hard and well for their dogs
Sharon Keys still, lets not shoot down people who want to adopt a pet from the animal shelter. Most people are looking for companion pets and you would still be suprised when you find them in the shelters. My sister brought home two adorable kittens for her daughter and they are a blessing.

Rescuing dogs is a very hard process and at 84% of applicants are told no. You have to be the perfect home in their eyes e.g no kids, no other pets or even leaving them at the kennels when you go away for just 2 days!?!?!?

She is in charge. It doesn’t matter what the puppy wants, this is about raising a well behaved respectful dog.
@@ChristinaLedl To whom does it not matter what the puppy wants? I would argue that, to the puppy, it matters what the puppy wants. Why are the owner's desires more important than the puppy's desires? How would you feel being held in an unforgettable position against your will?
