If I was on the jury I’d be getting pretty pissed by now. What a waste of their time!
All I know after 7 days is Karen is a good person and it was snowing that day.
The play fighting is relevant bc those are EXACTLY the kinds of behaviors hot headed guys exhibit when they’re drinking and that leads to actual fights
Exactly! High testosterone and getting aggressive never ends well!! Who is left handed? That's my question.
43:42 And another commenter pointed out that the 2 of them kissed each other while “play fighting”… maybe John brought it up at the house & they flipped out over it? Might be far fetched, but who knows with these people.
I Completely Agree! The kissing was a bit creepy. Maybe they wanted to kiss John too?? Stay Tuned!!
Anyone with kids knows that playfighting never ends well!
Yup, and the plan was already hashed out when Jen said to Karen, "You're coming with me!". They wanted to separate John from her because he was going to be beat to death later!
There was less than an inch of snow when the body was found. Yet, no one reported seeing any tire tracks onto the lawn, no missing shoe was found and zero pieces of the taillight were found, even after “methodically” leaf blowing the scene. Hours and days later a whopping 45 taillight pieces mysteriously arrived and his hat magically appeared. If that head injury happened in that location, surly there would be far more blood, than a few specs and some light pink staining. None of this adds up and the defense hasn’t even begun.
Yup too many red flags on this case. Poor lady is being framed. I'm just glad she has a great team of lawyers on her side.
I hope the truth comes out..
That is false there was 6 inches of snow.
@@mauiswift6391 that is false. It was about 3” of snow by 5/6am.
He was found after he had been lying the snow for hrs. As the day progressed it got a little warmer, rained? And that is when pieces of the tail light and other pieces were found.
There were lawyers and off duty cops drinking and then getting in their cars driving.
With an ATF agent in their midst. The irony of her getting the drunk driving conviction given those circumstance is interesting.
And obviously not unusual for any of them.
Men in blue are suppose to be respectful for EMTs, Firefighters or any other 911 responders... but NO they are out drinking in non drivable conditions during a massive snow STORM..wth
The lawyers wife did testify that she didn't drink, could she not be the one driving them home?!? The cops on the other hand, do it regularly because the rules don't apply to them... Rules for thee, not for me.... But I did notice something at @43:41... Did everybody miss them kissing in the middle of "play fighting"?!?
@@Myfatherskeeper777Totally missed it until I saw your comment… that was most definitely a lip kiss 100%
The attorney and his pharmacist wife were awesome!!
Jen McCabe comes out in every decision, statement, message, interview, everything that happened this night. She is the common denominator in everything. Plus is the one that made the search. For me, she has all the red flags.
She is!
Even if she didn’t know what was going to happen….shady lady. Town busy body mask wearer.
Made which search? Sorry I missed the earlier part of the trial.

@@lhr8833 Wow! That's nuts. I'll look more into that. Thanks.
I'm trying so hard to keep an open mind, but the Prosecution is just not giving me anything that makes sense .
That's my problem too. I feel if anything everything has helped defense case.
Exactly. They have absolutely NO case
The Prosecution’s case is incredibly flimsy. I don’t know if a coverup is proved, but stuff like a DEA agent going to a Police Station at 1:30 in the morning to do paperwork is ridiculous.
Me too but i think i was gone with the red cups. Like wow.
@@rickjason215yesss i forgot about that
How is this not the state wasting juror time, calling all these witnesses to say the same thing?
The friends of John O’Keefe seem to think highly of Karen Read. Thank you Peter 💙 Replay crew
The problem with the state is that they got the wrong perp
And Lally can’t hide that he knows it
If the journey to 34 Fairview is 5-7 minutes, what could have happened in those few minutes that was so bad that KR would change from singing his praises to running him down?
Booze!
Exactly. Nothing.
Nothing. Someone else hit him.. so sad
They got into a fight in the car - were parked outside the house for 30 minutes before she left - the State has a voicemail she left him on her drive home “John I fucking hate you!”
@@mauraabate8874when I was in the ER with my son when he was a baby and called him to bring us fresh clothes because he puked all over us, he was at a soccer game. He didn’t pick up his phone because he was arrested for fighting. You bet your ass I said worse things on his voicemail!
They got nothing. I hope the judge does not admonish the defense again for wasting time. So far it’s the prosecutor who is wasting the jurors time.
Oh and after 25 years on the force, officer cant tell you how to process evidence....like WHAT?
Right???? Boston is right there, they couldn't consult them? Send officers over for training??? Baffling
They want her to get off because they know that she didn't do it. They just don't want to prosecute the cops who did do it
I had not considered this theory, interesting.
I was starting to think this because they are just not proving their case. But if Karen get off, they will brush this under the rug and NOT investigate the police officers and others involved.
This is exactly what I think, and many of my friends here in Massachusetts think the same thing. My friend’s brother is a cop and went through the academy with Michael Proctor. Says he’s painfully dumb and easily manipulated. Makes zero sense to him why he would be chosen to lead anyone out of a cardboard box let alone lead an investigation.
Drunk police officers driving
So Chris Albert kills a college girl by being drunk and crashing into her and walked free but Karen Read is murder 2? Seems fair and balanced
Guilty or not as far as I can see all the evidence is compromised
What blows my mind is that this case is getting prosecuted. After the cops testimony its over, she's not guilty in my mind
This case is getting prosecuted with the intent of protecting the corruption.
Yeap ... where's the Smoking Gun?
They still have Trooper Proctor to put on the stand, it'll be very interesting to know if he found any nudes or if he's actually the smoking gun. Make it make sense.
I adored the cheeky witness who seemed eager to tell everyone how close they were and almost seemed like he was a witness for the Defense!
Seemed like a good guy.
I believe their statements and words were twisted for grand jury and I’m sure they were not happy about that.
I believe you are right…I saw the witness lists on another channel and they were on the defense list. DA jumped the gun
He was good. He is an attorney so I believe he is not willing to go along with the lies in this case. He doesn't want to be rope into this charade. He just told the truth about what he observed.
That was so sincere and sweet
Him & his wife were definitely the most “human” witnesses so far. They were both personable, & didn’t seem like they were ready to rip someone’s head off at any given moment. I liked them both a lot.
There's been nothing shown yet that leads me to believe KR has done anything except spoil the kids and praising nothing but good praises about JO. Still waiting for this evidence.
So sad, those kids lost 3 parental figures and 4 with Karen, that is evident how much she loved them. And now they will re-traumatize them even more testifying. This prosecutor doesn’t have a heart and everyone that is behind this.
Correction to a super chat from someone: Emily D. Baker did NOT work WITH the defense attorney in L.A. She was simply in the same building but she made it very clear that she was a baby lawyer and he most likely never heard of her at that time.
Unless there is a smoking gun peice of evidence to come from the prosecution they haven't proved guilt in my opinion
Isnt it funny they found the clear broken glass in the snow but nit that very large piece of red plastic tailtight? I cant believe they even took this case to trial
Or the other 40 some odd pieces in the area
I'd like to know where the rest of the glass is too. There was only one piece in the evidence bag. A large portion of it was missing.
@@Floridafanatic28 I wonder if that is what they wanted the jury to look in the car for
The judge is obviously biased in her time, she gives the prosecution unlimited time to do the same thing over and over but if the defense tries to hammer a point a second time is immediately shut down
I can not fathom why they brought this case or why on earth it needs to be so long there's MOUNTAINS of reasonable doubt already! It's overrrr
I think there is still a case for manslaughter…and that isn’t beyond a reasonable doubt…but the 2nd degree murder charge would make side-eye the prosecutors as sus.
@@sallycinnamon5370how? What is the evidence? Plus that is not the charge, so even if there was any proof for manslaughter, is not possible.
@@sallycinnamon5370 but they're gonna have a hard time proving ANY charge to me with the amount of holes and inconsistencies so far and the completely botched evidence collection.
They needed someone to prosecute, if she is found not guilty this case will end up being cold.
@@JillyMae89 This is the lawyer that found the errors in Weinstein’s trial. Even with how unlikable he is and how conflicted was the Supreme Court, they had to drop it and will have to re-try him. People think she will be convicted with so much butchered evidence and will stay like that. Granted, she doesn’t have the same means his other clients have, but the difference is that with this client they don’t want to just attack technicalities, they seem convinced their client is innocent, as many of the citizens, they won’t get away with that.
Brian Albert almost beat a firefighter to death in a bar fight.
I think that is one of defense witnesses.
So far the thing that makes me most suspicious of the prosecution is the fact that with THESE facts that they charged her with 2nd degree murder. I am still on the fence about manslaughter…but I refuse to believe that this generally happy couple went from kissing and snuggling in a bar to her hitting him with her car in a fit of drunken rage and leaving him to die. You might be able to convince me she didn’t it unintentionally and backed the car into him while he was bending over to tie his shoe or something. I would be side-eyeing the cops and prosecutor for trying to turn this into 2nd degree murder.
Theory: Fistt fight between Albert & Okeefe. Dog scratched arms. Brian Alberts sister in law Jen McCabe googled " How long to die in cold" at 2:37 am‼️ Proctor texted his friend's how they won't investigate them. This was a cop cover up
Think they upped the charges so it would come under the remit of this particular judge.
@@HelenMurray00 I kind of think they knew the investigation was flawed and were trying to push her to accept a plea deal but she dug in, the case blew up, the feds got involved and the prosecutors felt that by altering the charges they would be admitting they overcharged and it would be a PR disaster.
I’ve never seen so many people drink and drive. That shows corruption in itself because how doesn’t everyone in that town have multiple DUI’s?
No Because it’s like the movie Copland.
Family of pd etc. do whatever you want
The “worst” thing she’s done so far is treat John’s niece and nephew to fun events and nice things 🤔
Yes, they had a row about her taking the niece to dunkin donuts and spoiling the kids. It's absolutely ridiculous, the CW want us to think she murderer him because she loved him, thought he was a great dad, admired him so she ran him down on a cops front yard in a blizzard.
Right? The whole supposed "fight" that we first heard about was because she took them to dunkin donuts and John said she "spoils them"
OH THE HORROR!!!
Peter I hate to break it to you: the CW has ZERO EVIDENCE. There is absolutely nothing coming from the CW.
Exactly and lally is making things worse and only helping the defenses case! Karen’s attorneys are too good for lally
For people questioning if this judge is bias- she let this entire case proceed, all these witnesses, “evidence”, she felt was enough to prove guilt this is not the first time she is seeing any of this so that should answer that question. She could have been a hero, remembered for being the ultimate protector against corruption. No faith
Very true.
Interesting to me so far, all the people not closely associated with the Alberts who have testified say the OJO and KR relationship was good and their testimony is helpful to the defense!
This entire case is ridiculous. John and Karen are great people and are happy together. Prosecution is terrible
Would be WERE happy together.
@@TheDowntown02 I was referring to the testimony, present tense

I don't think KR had anything to do with JK's demise. I think the ppl at 34 jumped him and left him out there.
Agree! This Colin Albert relative always had beef against officer John. They were agitated neighbors . Colin did immature things to piss him off over the years . Alcohol and bullies no bueno

I was going to say the same but didn't know how it would have been takin nor did I care but the family that slays together
I think the idea of a cover up is way more plausible when you consider that they’re probably covering for an 18 year old..
They are definitely covering up something. She is def being framed.
@@ajwysopaloh yes I agree. Just mean for the skeptics who seem like it seems like a stretch or asking why they didn’t just make it look accidental. Assuming it’s because they didn’t want Colin involved at all because it would’ve been too easy to figure it out
Wait until the defense witnesses.
There’s more to that.
I’ve been watching gavel to gavel. Who’s the 18 yr old? What’s the *theory?*
Who’s the 18 year old? The Albert son Colin?
WHERE IS MICHAEL PROCTOR????
Going into day 8 and still no sign of the lead detective on this "murder" case.
37:23 Peter, I think many people like you thought "what's the big deal" when they showed the guys play fighting, but as a bartender for over a decade, I can tell you, I've seen NUMEROUS play fights that turn into real fights, especially when alcohol is involved! I just saw it happen with two buddies less than a month ago. It's all fun and games until it isn't!
And yes, people steal glasses from the bar ALL the time.
I felt like the day was a nothing burger for the Commonwealth
Getting to “meet” John’s friends made me like John more-and make me even more certain of that whole Not Guilty thing!
I think the reason the State did not mention tge glass is because the at scene doesn’t match the glass from the bar
Exactly! It has made ZERO sense to me that they didn’t ask the bartender to identify if the broken glass appears to be similar to the bar glasses she has served for years. Or why haven’t they produced a glass from the actual bar to show the consistency between the two. This whole case is bogus
Right!! All the CW asked that bartender in regards to the glass was how heavy are beer glasses vs mixed drink glasses.
Peter, at the end you said the prosecution has proved people heard she said “I hit him”. But in fact they just had one witness say they heard that. And based on photo evidence (not allowed in) that witness is likely lying about the friendship she was asked about. It’s not proof that Karen said “I hit him”.
Yeah, I really am not convinced she said that. The first responder downplaying her relationship really calls into question everything she says for me.
Yep, a witness statement is not "proof" of anything. Witnesses lie all the time under oath and I'm not really sure why he won't entertain that possibility.
To be fair they had 4 witnesses that said they heard it. Problem is that they all have conflicting stories about why and when she said it. The cop changed his statement and didn’t initially remember it until a EMT said they heard it despite having written a report day of. The female EMT said it was in front of an officer that followed up the question right before she went into the ambulance and SHE told the team in there. The two medics each said that she said it to them while they were either first assessing the patient and they asked or while they were walking up when they asked.
If they can’t remember the situation that elicited the statement I am not going to believe them about the exact wording. Probably at least one of them heard something…but I don’t think we’ll ever be able to be sure of what.
Sounds like it’s a story that has been talked about in their fire station constantly…I think the EMT’s memories are all tainted by that fact.
@@Rndomness Especially since I believe that is the medic most likely to have actually heard the statement and the other two are misremembering. The fact that the hospital record didn’t have a big letter SUSPECTED PEDEDTRIAN v. CAR seems suspicious.
I agree! Also - maybe she said “Did I hit him?”, but due to her being “hysterical” it was hard to hear the “did” and easy to hear the “I hit him” part? Pure speculation on my part 😂
why didn;t they search the house, because its a cop cover up ! no way that she bak up that of a high speed and did that damage, and nothing but a light broken on her car, she broke it when she left and backed into Johns car.
It's a frame job.
22mph because 25moh would trip the black box. Vinny from Court TV tried to reconstruct and couldn’t do it. Gimme a break!
I’m doing my best to keep an open mind. I’ve only heard what’s being said during the trial but if they can’t tell me where his shoe and hat is I’m going to have a hard time believing she’s guilty.
I think they are going to magically turn up a few days later like the 40-some odd pieces of taillight.
Also he was missing a belt ? Getting hit by car does not make you lose your belt .
@@Geekspeak1270It could though.
@@TheDowntown02what reasonable explanation can you give for how one would lose their belt from being struck by a slow moving vehicle, falling onto snowy grass? Belt unbuckled, was pulled completely off through all the loops, and missing?
They found the shoe in a snow bank with the pieces of red glass - seems a snow plow moved them and they became visible when snow melted
Peter when you said Jackson got the last dig in with the last question to the attorney. It was because when it was asked in cross the judge sustained the prosecutors objection. He was able to get it in because he quoted from the grand jury testimony. Great lawyering. The judge sustained a couple of times when it was conversations between witness and Karen so it was not hearsay.
Alan Jackson is smooth as buttah - doesn’t miss a beat. #Masterclass
She absolutely not guilty of murder.. the state has charged or overcharged..
This is a mess and they should have been wrapping up this case by now
I feel like they charged everything in hopes something sticks.
@@nicolelewetag4779I think they thought if they made the charges bad enough she would take a plea deal on a lesser charge.
I agree they thought the witnesses were going to be on their side but all Lollys witnesses are helping Karen its funny!! Shes not guilty.. set up
@@nicolelewetag4779They didn’t charge everything, they are not offering both charges for the jury to decide. Her charges were upgraded, so the previous charges are not in the table anymore. They want to convict her for premeditated M.

16:32 Canton is small town corrupt and the Albert's and all their friends who think they're above the law are at fault, everyone else is a casualty. I think they've finally figured out they put their eggs in the wrong basket
Play fighting in the bar might mean nothing but if they were play fighting at the house in which a German Shepherd lived, it might be a different story.
I own a small but very reactive dog. If I yell at someone she immediately goes into fight mode and will attack my other dog. Luckily due to her breed she has a short snout and a weak bite so there really isn't any damage but if she was a large breed like a GSD it could be disasterous. If they started play fighting in front of a large reactive dog it could very well trigger that dog to attack them.
Add the element that one is a trained MMA fighter and there's a possibility of jealousy of the relationship between KR, Officer O'Keffe and Higgins. Higgins text KR when they walk into the Waterfall something like "Mmmmmmkay okay????" and Higgins and McCabe both text O'Keffe several times to make sure he was coming to the party. The evidence is compromised, especially any DNA with the wonderful blower and solo cups, the "one stop" evidence bag near the SUV taillight, it's unbelievable how badly they investigate the death of a fellow officer, something I've never heard of before. There's too much reasonable doubt for me already to convict Karen Read.
LoL they put the evidence in a stop and shop bag, obviously handled by the bagger and the customer and the manufacturer therefore not sterile in the DNA contamination department. They used uncover solo cups to collect the evidence also. Then they leave the evidence not in the evidence refrigerator but in the garage next to her car, for days as seen on the video! Ridiculous!
As a MA resident, I'm aware of how much dirty stuff was published about this woman. It was unrelenting for months with no comments from her. This trial has been an eye-opener. I'm not a lover of the police at all but this incompetence (and cover up) is beyond the pale.
Why would you hope that the prosecution has some kind of damning evidence to put this woman behind bars? I’m hoping that the prosecution continues to produce nothing, and that the defense comes back with a slam dunk, showing that she definitely could not have done this! This family has suffered enough already… but to hope that there is evidence that this woman killed her boyfriend, after we heard how evidence was collected in Solo Cups!? I believe Karen Read will be acquitted.
Right? Is odd. With the way they treated the evidence alone, she should walk free. They messed up, disrespected a fellow officer and ruined her life. They should be made accountable. All of them, including the prosecutor. Still with this bad case, he wants to make those kids testify, re-traumatize them. Lally doesn’t have a heart or any of these cops.
She should walk free and win a huge lawsuits that could send all of these players to the unemployment line.
I hope the truth prevails and even if KR is aquitted there is still the questions of who or how JO died. I hope the family of JO finds the truth and can heal. Very sad case for me to follow.
lol it’s funny to me that people have been mentioning the accents in this trial. As a lifelong MA resident, I obv haven’t noticed the accent at all. Sounds normal to me 😂😂
The lawyer and his pharmacist wife were great witnesses - for the defense.
I agree the commonwealth should have came with more. I haven't followed this case ahead of time except when it started, and I will say the defense has raised so much doubt to this point that I am now just looking for more points to confirm the defenses case!
On replay crew 😊
I agree with Peter, it was a sad day. We have much needed clarity and I’m so relieved about this. My heart goes out to his family and all who knew and loved him, including Karen Read. I’m convinced that she didn’t do anything intentionally to him. I cried today, just seeing all of these people and knowing his family must have been so sad to see his last night.
But you still feel she hit him.. huh?.
@@keli449 I don’t know. I haven’t heard all of the evidence. I’m leaning heavily toward no. But I definitely know she didn’t intentionally harm him. Plus, if she did hit him, I don’t think she knew.
I feel so bad for those poor children! First they lose their parents, and then their uncle takes him in and now he's gone too. 😥
Jennifer McCabe is the key. IMO
She fancied JO, IMO. But the two Brian’s bashed him.
27:03 why would a judge limit the testimony for the defense?
Note: One witness stated John had OCD, shoes come off when entering his home. Could John been in the process of removing his shoes as he entered the Alberts home, thus why his shoe was missing?
OR chased out after beating tried to put his second shoe on but fled and succumbed to his injuries or fell back due to the beating injuries. It’s sickening to think this nice young man might have suffered a horrible death not dying immediately.
Chased out of the house. Hm.
Watching from UK and am trying to keep an open mind but the prosecution is driving me mad! I don't watch this trial live so I can fast forward through the repetitive direct. Loving the cross though. Questions I still have is did they find the whole cocktail glass or just a piece?? Where is the rest of it? Also, where is John's other shoe and cap? Today all I heard was how good their relationship was and how nice Karen was to his children and others!!! More questions than answers!
The prosecution is a rudderless ship with a blind captain and a crew of lemmings.
As someone in the forensic field, I am mortified by how the police collected evidence. Nothing they did was acceptable.
I can’t believe this is the prosecution’s case. Karen Read sounds pretty nice to me. Today was…boring? I don’t need to know how long people are married, whether they like to go out, where they sit at a basketball game, who won, who needs brownie points with the wife, where they were parked…
It all minimizes the fact that a man was clearly hit or beaten, left to die, and a woman is on trial for murder. I wish there was another prosecutor available.
I don’t know what all this bar stuff does for the state. They should just be showing his walking out with a glass. All this other stuff is either good for her or totally irrelevant.
When Peter said cucumber I thought hmmm. Is that a bloody Mary? 😂🤣 then the commenter said "omg Peter it's a lime" 😆
That was funny. I think Peter might be a Spa guy at the Pelican Country Club. No hate. Teehee
@@TalktoKel 😂😂😆 I can definitely see this!
Sadly the family are split with this prosecution. Mr O'Keffe asked if he could sit on Karen Read's side but wasn't allowed. There was a bitter custody battle between John O'Keffe and his mother for the children and she's with the State. There seems to be a lot of jealousy about the relationship and with the compromised evidence, especially the DNA, the trooper looking for nudes, wishing KR would unalive herself and having conference calls with the witnesses in the house. The judge having connection to the Albert family and refusing to recuse herself. The DA making a landmark press statement processing the Albert families innocence, telling the world about the Colin Albert theory, which is currently being used in Law Schools as a "how not to pervert the judicial system"The FBI and Attorney General investigation of the case, the trooper, the DA and the judge its just pointing to a frame up for me and i honestly can't believe this ever came to trial.
Edit to say with the quality of the defence team i seriously doubt they'd risk not bringing receipts and evidence if they don't have it and they seem to scoring high so far and theres so much more to come.

Such a strange courtroom set up. The gallery is so close to the defendant and judge. Looks like people are on top of each other.
Karen admitted to 5 drinks. How can anyone dispute she was drunk?
Depending on the span of time and her tolerance, it's possible
Depends on time frame

@AnnaChristie-vp4ip have you never been in a relationship? John wanted to go into the house for some reason? I'm pretty sure if Karen had it her way, they would have went straight home and made love! What made John wanna go to that house so badly????
Hear ye hear ye!!! And God Bless the Commonwealth. These court phrases make me smile every time I hear it.
They don't _need_ to prove anything, of course, but I do think it's interesting that the defense really only would need to prove one thing to prove Karen's innocence: that the obvious dog bite is a dog bite. That single fact means he went into the house, and thus means the people in the house are lying about whether he went inside or not. There is no innocent explanation for such a lie.
So if Karen Read is innocent, lets think about what that could really mean. That a cop beat another cop to death and got away with it either due to an orchestrated effort or willful negligence. That just blows my mind. But it seems to be what everything is pointing to. 😮
Wow…thank you for staying on this case Peter!🙏😊
I think that if they can prove the police put the taillight glass at the scene, that's a frame.
If the Albert’s or the neighbor would turn over their cameras this would be solved but they can’t cause they would arrest many others n release Karen read

So why would they follow procedure in one case and not the other?
Oh yeah, because tat wouldn’t work for the framing of Karen Read.
As if you don’t already know that.
Wow has it been 7 days already? I don't feel like I've really even learnt much more than what I already knew before it started. Just got the extended version of the dot points I already had. 😮🤪🤔🥴😜😛🤪
Peter, Sgt Goode already confirmed Higgins was indeed at the police department at 1:30am.
Also the chief who was on medical leave decided to sho up that Sunday?
The same one who found a large piece of taillight one week later.
I've been trying to keep up with one trial on top of another in between working & studying, so am glad you're doing the Daybell & Read jazz at the same time!!
Thank you!!
I have said theses trials would be a lot shorter if they didn’t have a bunch of irrelevant crap in them. I’ve learned it snowed and directions to everywhere.
And what sports every kid plays, the bartenders schedule, everyone’s entire work history, I get the point of a brief intro, but my goodness the waste of time going on. Snooze fest for the jury who have to watch this in real time
ATF Agent Brian Higgins had been texting back and forth with Karen either that night or recently ... so there is a definite possibility that there was a fight between Johnny and Brian about that
Lol. Yeha. I was told today that you weren’t 😂bias to check you out so I am. Not too bad on the eyes either. I can look.
He is handsome eh?
This is exciting. Thanks for great content and coverage
I think he may have stumbled out drunk and wounded after a fight in the basement, hit his head after falling on the porch steps, stumbled further toward the road and collapsed. Those inside did not know he was lying out there dying until their dog was let out, scratched him up and starting barking frantically as a dog would do, especially this dog, with a history of attacks. They originally thought if they left him where he fell it could be blamed on a snow plow, but soon found out that the plow was unable to plow at that time because a car was blocking the path. Then began the easy part, sprinkling around Karen’s taillights, after they had confiscated her car, which is why the taillights did not appear till 12 hours later. What they didn’t know is that she was on video hitting that exact taillight backing out, long after the time the body was on the lawn dead. At least that scenario makes more sense than the prosecutions case. It’s my understanding that the FBI reported after examining the autopsy that the injuries were not consistent with being hit by a car and I agree.
One of the most interesting posts re: timeline. I only believe that, thus far, lots of reasonable doubt.
(Tbh, I haven't bought into the whole conspiracy thing, but the local LEOs have definitely embarrassed themselves as far as the investigation.)
@@mortalclown3812 sadly, we’ll probably never know exactly what happened, but there is no way that this evidence and bafoonery presented by the prosecution is anything nearing a guilty verdict. I’m leaning towards some kind of conspiracy, like the kind that I mentioned, where the fight didn’t necessarily kill him, but the acts after the fact were intended to point guilt elsewhere to protect reputations. It may have only been two, or three that witnessed a fight in the basement, so it’s not such a huge conspiracy to spread some taillights around. The fact that none of those in the house ever came out once, not even a curiosity for a police officer, either a dead body in their yard, is very suspicious. It just keeps piling up to a real mess that does not add up at all.
Higgins texted Karen Read that Colin and Brian Albert jumped John, beat him up, and it got out of hand. Like Yannetti says, wait for it...
@@michellegillissThat's the first I'm hearing of that. If those texts do exist and they still charged her, that would be absolutely INSANE. I'm inclined to believe those texts don't exist because I can't see a world where she gets charged if they have that evidence.
@@SamanthaLeigh7or the evidence doesn’t come in because the judge is biased
She told 20/20 that she dropped him off at the house, watched him go in the door and left
I don't know if that's true or if she'll stick to that story in trial, but if she doesn't stick to that story or it can easily be disputed, that's the EXACT reason lawyers always advise you to SHUT UP. You don't want your own words to be used against you!
I’m watching the Daybel trial and don’t have time for this one as well. I enjoy following the case via your videos. Thank you!
Peter you need to go back and listen to the last few days of testimony and explain why 90% of Lally’s objections were preceded by a cough. There were several coughs made by Judge Bev that prompted objections! There was one that was clearly 3 coughs to get Lally’s attention and then an objection!
Then there’s the evidence of Karen’s car only having a cracked tail light that happened backing out at John’s house where she hit his car. The crack was there with no missing pieces until the officer seized the car 90 minutes before reported in the report and then suddenly it had missing pieces. Those pieces were not found the night or morning of the incident. They were found later by 2 different officers who “happened “ to drive by and “see” them!
This case is a travesty of justice. FREE KAREN REID! She is innocent!
WOW about the coughing. I'll be looking for that now.
I recall judge Bev ASKED Lally if he objects and then she sustained. I thought that was odd! Now I’ll be paying more attention to this cough spell as well! Thanks for bringing this to light.
In my opinion The Judge seems Bought & Paid for.
@@stephanierr2014She CONSTANTLY asks Lally, "any objections?" as to say, 'You should be objecting here. I too have heard the coughing the past few days but ZERO coughing today (Wednesday) when it was Lally going on and on all day. We'll see if her cough returns when the defense spends more then a minute or two on cross.
It almost reminds me of the UK version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire where the guy playing cheated by having his wife cough in the audience every time the right answer was read out.
I was so surprised Auntie Bev was so quiet today, she's must've cured the cough or absolutely has been told the internet viewers have figured them out.
Peter, I think you are being far too optimistic regarding the state’s case. 😂
It wouldn't have been a couple hours later. It would have been minutes later! Imo not guilty
Catching the replay in the uk 🇬🇧 thanks Peter always the best court coverage

Very curious what someone from the UK thinks about the crime scene?
I was talking about this earlier.
Isn’t it any suspicious death a team shows up covered head to toe in plastic with secure evidence bags?
Not sure but curious!
@LeannaMurphy-mx7zy I'm also watching from the UK, and I've just read your comment. In the UK crime scene investigators are the ones who collect all the evidence; police just preserve the scene. lnvestigators wear DuPont Tyvek suits, shoe covers, and in some cases face masks in order to not contaminate any evidence!
Also gloves!
Yes in the uk they don’t do it like the US it’s just crazy that they don’t have a crime scene team
The cups did it for me in a brown bag
Also in the UK and know for sure off duty officers would not be involved, scenes of crime would be there even without a death, the 'temporary plastic evidence containers', just baffled me whole case seems like grasping at straws.
The CW keep on about JOKs jacket arms being intact (presumably to head off the dog attack theory), but when Peter was questioning about him walking out the bar with a cocktail glass, Peter also noted that he had his sleeves rolled up. Wonder if this will be picked up by the defence also
Reasonable doubt!!
1:06:33 agree state proved some people thought they heard Karen say “I hit him” but not that she definitely said it as opposed to “did I hit him”. defense also showed credibility issues with each of those witnesses. Therefore if I was one of the jurors, I would not be accepting that as fact which is problematic for states case. LYK love your coverage of this and other cases! You’re my #1 go to over CourtTV!!!
