Robinson has a 32-16 record over Olajuwon. Robinson got dominated in one playoff series by dream and that's all people talk about, in reality the two were much closer than most realize. Two of the best big men ever.
He was one of my favorite centers, so quick and agile for his height. See how often he ran and made it to the other side of the court before everyone else? His play style is opposite from centers like Shaq.
Robinson’s back injury in 97 caused his decline and was getting old too along with The bulls A lot of eyes would look at Duncan to carry that what if title scenario
That was around 4 seconds from a steal in the paint on one end to dunking on the other while weaving between Jordan and Pippen. Those 7'1" "plumbers" sure were fast. LOL. Robinson would embarrass so many centers of today's NBA.
I remember hearing Coach John Lucas say that David Robinson was the fastest player on the team, after seeing some of this footage, I'll say it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility.
Robinson could play now, fast, athletic and skilled enough to be a Giannis type player. Btw I’m not a “game’s soft, Jordan would average 60 today” boomer type.

The game is extremely soft today, that's just a fact. I'm 28, and watched 90s, 000's and 10s. And the play level dropped tremendously especially s the 2010s started and went on. @@mowglie628 i would take david any day of the week . Leaping is a slight advantage wilt.. Speed slight edge to david against young wilt. Big edge older david vs older wilt. Dribbling ability is no contest. Wilt dribbled like a 6 year old. Shooting ability, again no contest. David played against the best centers to play the game. Wilt played in the 60s a laughable era. What would they call (10 pts, 10 rbns , 10 assts, 10 blocks, and 10 steals ) this is the highest stat possible in basketball yes? Or is a Quadrupole Double the highest ?
There's no ceilings for stats of basketball, you can post up as high stats as you want in case you have the ability. The best stats record in modern basketball era is Michael Jordan's career high game - 69pts 18rebs 6asts 4stls
but I meant after a Quadrupole Double (which is what David Robinson got) 10 pnts, 10 assists, 10 rbnds , 10 blocks , what if he also got 10 steals as well , what would they call it then? Still a Quadruple Double? Or a Cincuentupel Double or something like that?
Yup then Pop traded him to Chicago where he won 3 straight titles. Gregg is responsible for 4 rings that aren’t with the Spurs, with trading away Rodman and Leonard.
@@ram10sin70 he got double and tripled teamed in playoffs and was still averaging like 20-35 points in playoffs. That's not terrible, that's actually freakishly outstanding. Even though he averaged over 25 ppg and 12 rebounds that series, getting under 20 only 1 game and that was 19 points.
That's because ewing didn't. Robinson beat ewing alot more than ewing beat Robinson, (12-7) and Robinson put up alot better stats when playing against each other, overall in head to head matchups Robinson had more points per game, more assists per game, more steals per game, more blocks per game, only thing ewing had was 1 more rebound per game. You actually delivered! Nice! I'm always at awe watching him speed up. Thanks very much!
You're welcome bro! Your support is always my biggest motivation to make videos!=]
Awesome footage! You have clips I've never seen before
Thanks bro!=]
Don't know how you only have 2k subscribers but you've got another in me. Keep it up man
Bro, I really appreciate that, didn't expect you say that, thanks!=]
He spaces the Floor so well 💯
Whenever you hear someone refer to Giannis as “something we’ve never seen before”, just link them this video.
Thanks for saying this, bro!
David was so fast that when you see it, the video looks fake. He could cross the court with 4 dribbles!
Yes!!!!
Not a Spurs fan, not a huge Admiral fan, but he gets my vote for most underrated player of all time. People only talk about one playoff series vs Hakeem and make him out to be trash.
I’m a huge Olajuwon fan and those cats played to a stand-off for all but one playoff series. David is underrated and an absolute freaking stud of a basketball player. Robinson was a monster and again Olajuwon is my favorite player of all time.
Robinson has a 32-16 record over Olajuwon. Robinson got dominated in one playoff series by dream and that's all people talk about, in reality the two were much closer than most realize. Two of the best big men ever.
Good fucking post. Kids need to know what lind of athletic beast the Admiral was💯
Thanks lol
I love David Robinson! I used to play David Robinson*s Supreme Court on my Sega Genesis back in the day!
The admiral is probably the best comparison for giannis
"He thought about dunkin on David Robinson.. THINK AGAIN" hahahahah
He earned his place in hof indeed
Love this guy
Thanks bro 👍
Robinson, the man!🤔 enough said!!!!
His forward speed is one of the highest ever of a centre according to Ben Taylor and me based on what I see here...
Yes, probably with Wilt Chamberlain? No matter what, he is one of the fastest
He moves like a Point Guard
Absolutely!
Rodman is always so friggin extra 🙄 😂
😂😂😂
He was one of my favorite centers, so quick and agile for his height. See how often he ran and made it to the other side of the court before everyone else? His play style is opposite from centers like Shaq.
he would be great today. The height of gobert and the speed of giannis, he would be unstoppable with all the small ball centers playing.
He could have been GOAT if he was in this era...
Faster than Giannis
Also the strength of Joel Embiid
@@AS-fz5dp come on now
@@G.M7 ?
First two clips, will add some predictions to your "What If The Bulls chased for their 4th straight ring, and faced the Spurs in 1999?"
Spurs would win, I think
Robinson’s back injury in 97 caused his decline and was getting old too along with The bulls A lot of eyes would look at Duncan to carry that what if title scenario
supreme specimen of the human race.. incredible physique
This man was very fast! Lol like guard fast!
i could see a prototype giannis
I know it’s a David Robinson highlight but at 0:29 Jordan jumping off a trampoline. He got blocked but still that movement looked nuts.
My legend Dave 50
Espectacular, me toco vivir esa época, muy buen jugador, tenia tiempo que no veía estas jugadas.
Thanks bro!
⛹️♂️⛹️♀️👍
That was around 4 seconds from a steal in the paint on one end to dunking on the other while weaving between Jordan and Pippen. Those 7'1" "plumbers" sure were fast. LOL. Robinson would embarrass so many centers of today's NBA.
He IS the best defender of the 3-Point Era!
Very true, bro
Giannis who?
Welcome to Mr. Robinson neighborhood. ☮️
Robinson did a eurostep in fastbreak 😆
I remember hearing Coach John Lucas say that David Robinson was the fastest player on the team, after seeing some of this footage, I'll say it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility.
1st play is basically giannis
He swatted MJs Shit. More athletic and bigger then any center
today. Sad
Rare big man that could steal, what a beast
90s giannis
The Navy Freak before the Greek Freak. So athletic.
Agree, Dave was just so freaking athletic
In early 90's Robinson was the most dominant, statistically speaking, player in the league.
David robinson Retired With a championship
The Admiral was the 90s Giannis
He WAS A BEAST
Robinson could play now, fast, athletic and skilled enough to be a Giannis type player.
Btw I’m not a “game’s soft, Jordan would average 60 today” boomer type.
He was in the wrong era sosad
And hes bigger then giannis
@@zhugelianges disagree with him being in the wrong Era. Yes he would be the best center in the league today. But he played against the best centers ever when the game revolved around them , it was a great time to watch the nba. Now you cant touch perimeter players and everyones launching 3s. Not as fun to watch.
The game is extremely soft today, that's just a fact. I'm 28, and watched 90s, 000's and 10s. And the play level dropped tremendously especially s the 2010s started and went on.
Calling reality what it is, is okay. It's not a knock on anyonr when you say the fact that the nba is soft and pathetic now. It's not just nba, NFL is soft and pathetic now compared to how it used to be. It just means that kids today never witnessed peak talent like I witnessed. Maybe in the future, but it's not looking great so far. But guess what? Kids 100 years ago didn't get to witness it either. Peak times exist and if it witness it awesome, if you don't, then okay.
Holy shit
Dude runs the floor like he's Scottie Pippen.
He could easily dunk from the free throw line
True
The Admiral averages 35ppg in the modern era
Still better then Shaq
Lol wont' you be afraid of being criticised/teased by Shaq's fans?
How dare you lol
Most athletic Center ever.
Wilt chamberlain???
Nah. Second most athletic behind Wilt. 3rd greatest physical specimen overall behind Wilt and Shaq.
I agree, physically David was chiseled out of granite and could jump through the roof and run like a gazelle. He doesn’t get no where near the recognition he should have earned, because he was quiet and played in a small market. Go Spurs!
And in the 70s he was a role player. He was a rebounding machine but the era he played in took almost 40 percent more shots per game and half his career was in a era with wider lanes , he was way bigger and more athletic then everyone playing then , so they were easy rebounds.
@@daneosborn3476 I dont think you realize just how strong and athletic Wilt was
And lebum fans says Jordan play in the plumber era
That block on Jordan tho
That's INSANE
My starting 5 Penny Hardaway at the point Jordan at the 2 Kobe at the 3 TMAC at the 4 and David Robinson at the 5 who got next
Him and Bill Russel are Jordan’s starting centers.
I remember Jordan has said it's Hakeem Olajuwon?
Same interview where he said Worthy can be in his starting 5.
@@calbastian ummm worthy was in his starting 5 in college lolz
@@zhugelianges Jordan never changed that olajuwon nod. Don't let these people fool you. Olajuwon owned the bulls whole team
@@zhugelianges and blocked Jordan dunks and shots more than anybody
Crazy how bill and wilt were EVEN faster
The reason I started eating Raisin Bran
GREATEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... THAT'S RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!... I SAID IT!!!!!!!!!! NAYSAYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... "YES, THERE WILL BE BLOOD!"
I can see you are a die-hard Spurs fans lol
So do I!😀
Hes even faster than Giannis and taller
Very true
Not faster
@@zhugelianges giannis only dunks and david robinson can shoot midrange
2:12 wtf rodman was wearing??
A mask.
Gladiator mask
Narrowest hips ever game him amazing mobility but not the greatest stability in the paint.
Anthony Davis might be a better ball handler and shooter but those things can be learned in practice.. David Robinson was alot faster, stronger and more durable than AD.. overall more talented.. if David played in today's NBA he'd be the best center.
And the best player in the league
What would they call (10 pts, 10 rbns , 10 assts, 10 blocks, and 10 steals ) this is the highest stat possible in basketball yes? Or is a Quadrupole Double the highest ?
Not necessarily the highest but the most versatile
so what is the highest then?
There's no ceilings for stats of basketball, you can post up as high stats as you want in case you have the ability.
The best stats record in modern basketball era is Michael Jordan's career high game - 69pts 18rebs 6asts 4stls
but I meant after a Quadrupole Double (which is what David Robinson got) 10 pnts, 10 assists, 10 rbnds , 10 blocks , what if he also got 10 steals as well , what would they call it then? Still a Quadruple Double? Or a Cincuentupel Double or something like that?
Quintuple-double
Better than Lebron James, if Bill Russell played in more recent eras, i see him being like David Robinson.
He wasnt as big or as fast as David. Not sure any big man was as fast. Hakeem had better footwork though
@@daneosborn3476 Bill Russell was faster than David Robinson
Spurs would play Houston 4 times a year back then, they wouldn't guard each other they would cross match
Dommage qu'il ne faisait pas de alley-oops!
Yah he did have alley-oops, lots of! Just I did not include them lol
Ha ha ha AC Green got like 4 shots blocked in one game
How can a 7ft tall man run this fast ??
I don't know either...
Dave was pretty insane during his prime...
He was with the navy before coming to the NBA
Olajuwan better than Robinson?? PLEASE🤣🤣 Show me a clip of Olajuwan owning Jordan.
extra AD
Love your word "Extra" lol
My cousin and his father said that Nikola Jokic is better David Robinson. Do y’all agree?
(I definitely don’t)
Heck no!! Don't feed into their narrative
Athletic Marvel,
RODMAN WAS ON SPURS????
for a couple of years and to grab some of his rebounds titles with them.
yeah I didn't know he was at 1st either
Yup then Pop traded him to Chicago where he won 3 straight titles. Gregg is responsible for 4 rings that aren’t with the Spurs, with trading away Rodman and Leonard.
For 2 seasons, its when Rodman started going crazy with his style. He played better on pistons and bulls though.
The only thing David was lacking was a great jump shot otherwise he would be the greatest center of all time!!
whaat the man had a jumper, you should watch the game he scores 71 points
From what I recall seeing, he could shoot, but didn't play back-to-the-basket too often. Usually jumpers or drives.
He was predictable in the post and was terrible on double teams. Especially in playoffs. Except this he was the perfect center
@@ram10sin70 he got double and tripled teamed in playoffs and was still averaging like 20-35 points in playoffs. That's not terrible, that's actually freakishly outstanding. You're just going off the spurs vs rockets 95 playoffs narrative that the media always pushed. Even though he averaged over 25 ppg and 12 rebounds that series, getting under 20 only 1 game and that was 19 points.
Wonder why Patrick Ewing always outmatched Robinson..maybe he had his number
He didn't.
www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/tiny.fcgi?id=lF3tG
Ewing had a better jumper
That's because ewing didn't. Robinson beat ewing alot more than ewing beat Robinson, (12-7) and Robinson put up alot better stats when playing against each other, overall in head to head matchups Robinson had more points per game, more assists per game, more steals per game, more blocks per game, only thing ewing had was 1 more rebound per game. Every other statistic Robinson was better.
