I used five lvl 200 voidwyrms to attempt to tame a lvl 90 noglin. It only got it to 93 percent. So then I gave it my lvl 150 wolf. It still wasn’t tamed, and this was on x2 taming
It also helps, instead of using the net projectile, to knock out the Nogglin so you have a little more time to make the gate crate. But I recommend (with this technique anyway) too build a small 1x1 wall square around the nogglin until it de-agros. But this technique that Mitt is using seems far less complicated and I like it more so :P
You can carry the noglin with argentavis and tapejara to the trap, and you can make that mission that give more speed taming world buff before attempting taming noglin

You can, the risk is that they die before they give the full 20%, As I mentioned in the video I definitely went overboard with regard to how much health they had.
Found it, They nerfed carbos, I now use 5 level 224 brontos, each of them giving 20% taming, after I gave 4 brontos, i give my tribemember so the tame effectiveness goes to 125%, after that give the last bronto and 125% tame lv 150 noglin
How did you get your cryopods to have no cool down? I play on a server my friend runs and we would love to get rid of the debuff. Also great video. Been trying to get this buggers for a while. Never thought of traping it in the net first

i was walking on my shadowmane when one of these take it over and kill me. Then when i got back, my tame was wild again. It was a lvl 90 when i got it then i lvl it to 130, but after that noglin attack it was a lvl 130 wild tame.
Me and my tribemate had this problem are taming thing was full so it killed itself cyropod your tames and kill some styders stryders take 20 space in the taming capacity
not sure if this is an intended feature, if it's a repeatable bug, if it got patched, or if it was a one time bug, but the noglin mind-controlled me after I fed it a turtle and it showed as 125% taming effectiveness
how do u get all ur turtles out of cryo b4 the tame effect drops to 0? i tried it ur way and it loses any tame progress b4 i can uncryo all the turtles
My best theory is to have a cry timer and throw all of them down as fast as you can and they will all wake up at the same time but I don't know if the noglin will kill them while there sleep
This happened to me too. Try to keep your distance and have the creatures on passive, also make sure to clear out any other creatures around the tame bin to make sure they don't go aggressive, you really need to prevent it from being spooked.
@@DarkTitan1954 I believe it’s in the 2nd tab (advanced settings) there should be a box to enable pve If you want to pick wilds up with flyers be sure to enable flyers can carry pve setting
Kinda hate how WC comes up with these stupid taming mechanics, but never really tests them at all. EVERY method they've introduced after the initial knockout tame has been buggy AF. When they first introduced passive taming with the mesopithecus/megapithecus it was buggy AF, same with the stupid troodon taming, titanboa taming, all the genesis 1 "unique" tames, and now every single gen 2 "unique" taming method is busted. Seriously, I doubt anyone at wildcard has actually ever played Ark.

Second, Studio Wildcard has a total staff count of thirty friggin five people. That's 35 people, TOTAL. Most people may not like it, and ill admit it makes me grumpy sometimes. But this bad ass game we have, was developed and put out by a small indy company. It's a fucking fantastic game that has been putting out new content for 5 fucking years now. If you expect every detail of their game to be perfect at release, then I suggest you go play AAA games, where they have hundreds of employees just for playtesting. You're a playtester for the new content for this game, and sometimes it sucks, but eventually your complaints get fixed, so its that, or the game goes away. Lastly, if you think WC doesn't care about this game, then please, see the above, and consider the fact that they put out updates, and small patches constantly, to the point my cluster I play on has been restarted at least every other day, since Gen2 released. If they didn't care, this game would have been abandoned in EA, and we'd not have the amazing stuff we have.

You can find the noglins much easier by turning on the mode in the tek helmet to where it shows the outline of creatures

turtles are terrible for taming effectiveness. the only way of achieving 100% taming effectiveness is by using 5 high level brontos and getting 20% per tame

Why do you use high HP tames, if the get the taming % when they mind control can't you use 5 disposable dodos?

Pro tip: use tek Helmet and fly low to ground and it’ll agro and glow red when you pass it
They're easy to spot even when not red, their movement is distinguishable

I used 10 lv 250+ carbo's and each carbo gives about 5.5% taming (on a x10 server) what am i doing wrong here

Use a Tek helmet to spot the noglins easier
Can you trap it with a bola and then use the tent trick? Just put a tent on top of him and then build the bigger structure with no rush.

PvE mode disables the cooldown.

I have had the same issue, all dinos are passive and i still get a message they killed the noglin
