Flown it a few times from Edinburgh to Newark on our way to Vegas, only once have I had a problem, headphone jack plug was kaput on one flight, no problem to cabin crew........ they moved me!!!!! 7hours peace and quiet from my wife and twin daughters........... bliss (if my wife ever reads this comment, I'm dead!!). We only had one problem in Newark, going through immigration with identical twin girls, the poor schmuck thought he was seeing double (welcome to my world buddy!!!!).
That is so funny. Of course, nothing is funny when it's happening but the stories really are priceless. How old are your daughters now? Traveling with children is so difficult under the best of circumstances. Thanks for taking your time to watch the video and add a comment. Best to you and happy (safe) flying, Sheila
They're 16, act like 30, and make me question my sanity on a regular basis. Especially when they answer each others names. When we applied for their passports, we actually got called into the passport office as they "thought" we applied for 2 passports for one person!!!!!!! But I wouldn't change my life for anything........ It's fantastic fun having twins, especially these 2
Sheila, thought you might want to know about a little hack that I found with United schedule changes that may (or may not) increase your chances at securing upgrades if you're flying on an economy ticket. If an economy flight you've got has been hit with a schedule change, use the "advanced search" when looking for new flights, and where it gives you the option to specify a class code, use "M" if you're booked in standard economy (I don't think Y and B work for this - and I think M is the highest you can go with this) or "O" if you're in premium economy (you could try "A" if it doesn't - but I think O will work). If you're already on a paid fare in business class (eg P), I would try "J", then if that doesn't work, "C", then "D". On the next page (where it lets you select flights) you'll see a column that says "requested class" and look for flights that show $0 under that, and open the flight details to show the booking class, and assuming it's what you want, go ahead and book it! On a side note, I remember there being some talk of M class unlocking instant upgrades for Premier 1k members. Not sure if this would apply (doubt it) but it may be worth a look. This might also mean you earn more points in the end as well. Not 100% sure.
What great information 👍 So good, I printed out this tip so I don't forget 🤪 duh, me. And thanks so very much for the time to type this lengthy comment! Very best to you, Liam! Sheila 🥰
@@LiamWalsheliamskitchen I'll do my best to remember. Most of the time when there is a schedule change, I don't have a problem. But, now that I said that, jinx. 🙀
Do you think so, Harry? I am such a dork (no matter how many miles I fly) that can never pick up on these things. Thanks so much for your time to view and comment. It is appreciated! Regards, Sheila 😍
From Wiki: Vueling Airlines, S.A. is a Spanish low-cost airline with hubs in Barcelona-El Prat Airport and Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport in Rome, Italy. Its name comes from the Spanish word vuelo, which means flight. It is the largest airline in Spain by fleet size and the number of destinations.
Thanks so much Gerd, for the information. I never heard of them before your comment and thanks also for taking time to watch the video. Best to you, Sheila
I love Edinburgh. It is a magnificent city. You are not publishing videos about the flight(s) from Singapore back to Chicago after your Indonesian adventure? Have a great day!
And let us all say, "Amen" to that. Otherwise we'd be sitting on a three-master trying to get somewhere for months. Thanks for watching, Richard, and best to you. Sheila
Thanks for your time, Scott, to view and comment. Steve and I took a cruise out of Aberdeen a few years ago. Would like to return and explore the area in depth since we love Scotland. Hope you have a wonderful trip, happy holiday season and best to you, Sheila 😍
When I have flown to the UK I have flown economy and had no complaints. I slept for a good chunk of the flights LOL! Looks like your flight was decent which is great!
I will fly whatever to get to where I want to go; whether or not it is economy or business. Sometimes viewers mistake my comments as complaints (or whining) but I am just trying to report on exactly what is right and what is wrong about an airline, hotel, food, or whatever. Otherwise, what is the sense of making a video? Everyone should feel free to disregard my opinion. Thanks for all your comment and hope all is well with you. 😍
Sigh, Tahoe. This is what was available and it was either fly United's 757 to Edinburgh or not. I always prefer a wide-body! Thanks for watching and your comment. Regards, Sheila
Great video, I flew to New York 18 months ago from Edinburgh, couldn’t fault United, although our TVs didn’t work on the outbound flight, so it felt a longer flight. Hopefully I will be going back in the next few months, wonderful place.
Thanks for watching, Rob. I really appreciate your nice comment and am glad you enjoyed the video and your flight. Have a great trip back! Best regards, Sheila 😍
Great video! Food actually looked decent. Glad the service was great, FAs looked friendly. Was it awkward having the jumpseat directly in front of you?!
Go for the pasta, that's my recommendation. Selections in economy are almost always, Chicken or Pasta and at least, United's pasta can be depended on. To answer your question, no. The flight attendants sit there for such a short time.
Tom, it's not that I'm complaining. I've spent many a flight in Economy but I do try to make the video's informative and if I say we're in Business class, viewers comment "Oh, you are rich and always in Business." So I do try to stress the upgrades situation or lack of, in the video. Upgrades are great but if Economy is the only way from A to B, I'll gut it out any day of the year. Thanks for watching, Tom, and best to you. Sheila p.s. Just one more point. We could have upgraded way in advance using miles+cash (just like anyone can do - no guarantees that you'll clear), but I didn't think a 5 hour flight was worth it.
We saw so little of Aberdeen but did have time to meet with David and Dorothy (two other viewers). That is so thoughtful of you, Andrew, and who knows. Perhaps another time! Best to you and thanks for watching! Regards, Sheila
Yes it is, Jojo. I really blew the scheduling and fortunately Daniel pointed out my mistake. Otherwise, I had double scheduled the upcoming videos. So hate when that happens. Best to you, Sheila
@Mehdi Mokhtari What was that flight like, Mehdi? Similar or completely different? Thanks so much for your time to view and respond to another viewer's comment. It is very appreciated! Best to you, Sheila 😍

Neither main course looked too appetizing. Filling is sufficient in this case.
Looked like such a late touchdown

Doing this flight next week. Man, what an old plane.
Hope you have a good trip and holiday. It is an old plane. Guess United thinks the flight is too short to utilize wonderful equipment. 😂
