He's the most well rounded QB in the league, and probably the next best to Tom Brady. If you've watched him the past few years it's been pretty awesome to see him get better and better.
@@billcollector5983 no he isn’t lol. He has crazy talent but even this season he was insanely inconsistent. Go look at his passer rating per game its up and down like crazy. When he’s on, he’s amazing, but he’s never been on for a whole stretch of games at a time. Three weeks ago he threw 3 interceptions against the falcons. Two weeks ago he was only up 9-6 against the Jets heading into the 4th quarter. Allen has the potential but he hasnt accomplished anything yet
I understand that people like to say he was a bust at some point when he was literally regarded as the rawest prospect who wasn't expected to be great right out of the draft. He went 6-5 as a starter throwing to nobodys like Kelvin Benjamin and Ray Ray McCloud. give that wr core to mahomes his first year and let me know if he's making the afc championship. Next year he gets some weapons around him such as John brown and Cole Beasley, and he goes 10-6 and makes the playoffs. Next off-season he gets Diggs and makes the afc championship. This year in his first postseason game he puts up historic numbers that have never been done in a football game. People can call him a bust at some point all they want but he wasnt nearly as bad as portrayed by most.
99% of Bills fans were all in on Allen even by his rookie year, while mainstream media and other fanbases often clowned on him. It's impossible to quantify, but Allen always showed that "it" factor that you either have or you don't (while being potentially the most physically gifted QB in NFL history). I honestly believe there's still parts of his game that are raw, and that should be a scary thing for the rest of the NFL. His peak performance is literally un-guardable.
@@benjaminmckay6983 I think one of Allen's best qualities is the fact that he treats every play like it's the most important play in his entire career. Obviously he's learned to check down, and throw some away if the defense doesn't give him anything but the man will never fucking give up on a play and I've never seen that in a quarterback as a Bills fan. I can guarantee this man will be the best bills qb in my lifetime and all the media says is "hEs nO pAtRiCK mAhOmEs"
Everything both of you said is true. I look at it like this. Opposing defenses in the past have benefited from Josh being raw, having raw mechanics and not taking what the defenses gave him underneath. He had the lowest % of check down passes of any QB in his first two seasons, something like 1.3 % of passes were checkdowns. He had less talent around him early on, he was raw, and he swung for the fences more often not during that period. His third season his mechanics were much better along with his accuracy and the talent around him. Now in his fourth season, he’s had some ups and downs, but is very much in mvp form, especially now in the playoffs. He is so much more patient now and is taking the underneath, getting the ball out quicker. KC’s defense doesn’t scare me at all. There isn’t a better defense than the Patriots that they’ll face in the playoffs. Better OL play, better play from Singletary, much better play than last season from Knox. Also all of our receivers are healthy this time and Sanders is an upgrade over John Brown. KC is facing a much better Bills team. Also our defense is much better than last years.
Although Wyoming is division 1, he never had the elite coaching like other division 1 schools. Buffalo was the right fit for him. Mayfieild, Darnold, Rosen out of that draft, how'd that work out ! Allen is going to be an all American sports hero for years to come!GO BILLS!
I thought he was the wrong pick when drafted but i admitted to being wrong mid second season. You could see that he was able to do those special things and consistency would come in time.
You don't even need to use the 1st team to ever do it in a "playoff" game qualifier. They were the first team to ever have TD's on each of their 7 drives until victory formation, no turnovers, on 4th downs, no punts, etc. Whether it was postseason or regular season, first time that's ever happened!
