Riding metro bikes from Koreatown to Silverlake is really difficult and dangerous. There are parts where I can barely ride on the sidewalks in Silverlake and the traffic is bad there. But it is funny how cars are backed up in Silverlake, which is such a beautiful area, and I can ride by them on my bike.
This is very true. Something that always depressed my friends and me, just the amount of concrete in LA. Even if it is a desert, more natural growth such as cacti or succulents would be a major improvement compared to what it has today. But it doesn't seem there is any interest to spearhead beatification efforts in LA.
Did you know in the 70's a small plane went into the reservoir? I was flying a kite in Silverlake park and saw it go in. Some people climbed the fence and believe it or not swam out to.the plane. You can fact check everything I say.
I'm the old guy that kinda gives you a hard time;however, you are correct about the rain andtransit. If you'd like I'm kinda an expert on L.A. and Silverlake and surrounding areas. I used to run the Echo Boathouse. No bus, walk, like we did stop whining on walking, that's what we did.🇺🇸👍. Respectfully.
The military vehicle you saw at 4:40 is a Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer ;)
Thanks for the detail :)

It's quite sad seeing how much foliage is possible in Los Angeles, but they just cover it in asphalt when you get down into the basin.
