i bought one at amazon and i waited awhile before using it,,,and the chip out on cross grain on plywood was terrible,,i called oshlun and told them about the problem and they sent me a new set of blades,,great customer service and the blades they sent are great as well,,,,i guess i just got a bad set,,but i would recommend these blades,,
Thanks for posting Sergio. The video is an awesome and thorough demonstration. I have been dragging my feet with opening the table saw (metabo). But having done some standard cutting for a few days now that I wanted to move on to the oshlun dado set that has been sitting on the floor for some time. I wanted to do some 1/4 dados and checked out the instruction sheet. I was a little bit cold feet seeing that for a 1/4 dado I would be slapping two primary saw blades together (inside & outside) without anything sandwiched in between to keep the blades from rubbing each other. Oshlun should have had a big fat note " you should be alright without the shims if you don't need them" . But seriously, your demonstration gave me the confidence to "lets get on with it"! Thanks man!
Good video, very nice presentation! I've got the 6" dado set and made a couple test cuts today, very happy with the results for using it for the first time. I tried it on my radial arm saw but in the future will do it on my table saw! Good job Sergio!

Can I ask what size motor does your table saw have? I've heard that to use a 8' dado you really need a motor larger than 1 HP because there is a lot more mass to turn than the 6" dado sets have. I really want the extra depth that the 8" provides but only have a 1 HP motor (11.8 amps) on an old 10" Delta Unisaw. How does your perform in long/wide/deep dados on hardwood?

Lo que te puedo decir por ahora es que es un muy buen producto. Creo que el video por mucho que entiendas inglés o no te puede ayudar a poner las sierras en sus lugares correctos para que obtengas el grosor que necesitas. El resto del video es solamente probar el grosor de cada sierra y los shims.
