This Game is also supposed to be tailored for Kids as well, but the Pay To Win Features and Add-ons makes It Non-Kid Friendly as They won't be able to unlock and enjoy Their Favorite Character's without relying on Their Parent's wallet and That Is Unacceptable 😠
Gameloft Needs to get Their Priorities check. I can't stand a Developer that cares Only about Money. Especially when They make the same petty excuses. This is the same Practices Activision and EA uses.
I started playing when it went F2P and I've played every day since then. I guess I just like the dopamine hit from unlocking stuff every day, and hoping a box will give me something that gets someone levelled up. For the past few weeks though I feel as if I've been doing this out of FOMO, rather than genuinely looking forward to unlocking stuff.
I agree with pretty much everything you've said plus some extras. Unlocking certain characters is too long, too hard and/or unfair and the season tour events are getting worse. If we need to use racers either for season or time limited events, it should be possible to unlock them within that timeframe. I have 39/45 unlocked and I don't have Woody, Stitch, Steamboat Pete, Belle, Daisy Duck or Minnie Mouse... and they've all been featured at some point this season. Same as last year.
Now that you've explained it I get why Ranked feels so ridiculous once you reach a certain point. My Jasmine is 4* rank 40 and I can't get her past MPR 21. I'm good at racing games. I just get swamped with powerups at the start and don't have a chance. There isn't really much to motivate me to keep trying.
Ultimately this is a free to play game and there will always be a focus on getting people to pay, but that should be in addition to content you unlock naturally, not just unlocking the content itself. I feel like they've improved things a bit this season with the Racer Boost and improving ranked rewards, but right now it feels like too much content is locked away and you can only get it by paying. That's just going to lose them players/customers.
I don't know what the overall stats are for Speedstorm for things like total players and content creators/the reach of those, but pretty much everyone I see on here that does Speedstorm content is complaining, so hopefully some changes come soon.
I try to mix up both, I don't want to just complain. The game does have great highlights in some areas. That's why I do gameplays or talk about fun things. Sometimes though, there are decisions that they make that have to be talked about. I'm not one to make videos on every single bad choice made, but sometimes when it's such a left-field decision, I make a video and voice my opinion.
The most IMPORTANT part for me though is seeing what you all have to say. That's really why I make discussion videos like this one. All your voices are important and I'm always appreciative when you all spend time out of your day/night to let me know how you feel.
Hopefully, we'll see some changes in the future, but the real truth about where the game is headed will be shown when they drop season 6.
The new chapter 9 was legit even worse than chapter 8 which I doubted was possible, but not only did you need level 30 specific characters that were hard to get in the first place, but it went up to 33 with even harder to get characters. Like in chapter 8 I still managed to get everything though Oswalds was with great (understatement) difficulty. Now I at most got top 2 with Sulley with more difficulty than chapter 8 Oswald and can't even get top 3 with Oswald. Like they for some reason made 3 racers be way faster rather than just 1. I always check the map each try and there are always 3 halfway across the map while I'm struggling against the rest. Like I legit gave up trying after 10 times with same result just different faces on those 3.
Yea, I heard that is something a lot of people want changed. I think it might close out and stay on the same path. Meaning until Little Mermaid Season 6, there most likely won't be any changes to the tour.
@@poppinoftenwithlofton6036 Like you I Iove the game having purchased 3 founders packs (2 were on sale with deluxe and Ultimate) and since end of Season 4 had all racers, but other than some mid season racers only a handful are 2 star while the rest are 3 star or above and unfortunately for me Sulley was one of them. It's likely with the Star chaser event (unless the time trial replaced the previous thing and I can only get 3 instead of 4 Sulley shards and will therefore have to get lucky with daily/universal boxes or spend on the season coins version of Monsters Inc boxes (ain't spending tokens)). The others from the top of my head are Randall, Buzz and Woody. And with mid seasons only Steamboat Mickey (due to his event this season), Minnie, Daisy and Wall-E (bought all his boxes) are the only ones above 2 star. But yeah. Hopefully they learn. I think if they want to spread their game especially to coincide with the mobile release they should sponsor some youtubers who already enjoy kart racers even if that's not their main thing with the first to come to mind as I enjoy their content are the Vanoss Crew. They make very enjoyable Mario Kart videos and lots of people enjoy them including me and I think if they played Disney Speedstorm it would help spread the game around to tons of fans of the genre. Better than punishing existing fanbase for lack of players.
I paid real money to play this season and cant even complete it 😂
More character shards on limited events, season tour, and regulated would be nice.

This game has so much potential . The gameplay itself is already better than Mario kart but all this wonky systems make it feel so unrewarding and like there isn’t much to do
Very good watch Lofton. Thanks for trying to spread the word and always caring about us newer players, even before F2P Launch. It's sad that things are getting worse from when you made the first video. So much worse, that it is even going into the single player content not being looked forward too. GL just likes to put new racers, events, and a few free shards in our face as a temporary band-aid fix to cover up the real issues that would actually help the game grow. I guess all we can do is hope for the best in season 6, but it's been so long already...
Yes, I was looking forward to the new season and felt like they understood. Looking back though, I can see a lot of things have been brought up, but the only thing that changed had been the seasons. New characters, free stuff, etc.
I never realized how much they'd try to blind us to the issue every time there had been one. I guess you don't need to really fix an issue if you make players not notice it.

Yup 100% Agree with everything Ranked is 💩💩💩 there is no reason for my (1 Star ⭐️ Lvl 15 Wall-E) to go against a (2 star or higher) between lvl’s 20-30.
Then on top of it we get punished because we got no chance of even placing top three then losing a ton of points on top of it
a good QOL that could be added is the daily shard being possible on characters you don't own so that you can eventually get them naturally, that way you don't have to pay out to get characters or just hope their shards are in the shop for coins
I started playing in season 2 and It's hard to play this game without buying tokens because they've made bad changes to modes that were already perfect the way they were like season tour, limited events, ranked mp
Yea, I think because Early Access had been pay-to-play, there wasn't much need for monetization. However, once free-to-play hit, they started to introduce it more and more.
Either they overshot their budget, they decided to change the game plan of how they'd like the game run due to the amount of drop-off after free-to-play, or this was in the cards the entire time and they were doing what they planned to do from the start.
As a new player, I'm already at that point where I just want to pack my things up and leave because everything just feels very imbalanced. Ranked is a total mess, season tour is basically paid tour, and even the limited events aren't very enticing. Everything you said is pretty much what I ranted about in the Speedstorm Discord, even mentioning the idea of having some sort of ability meter so that players HAVE to express their skills in order to build that meter through drifting, using items effectively, etc. Not even sure if those ideas will reach the right people but at this point, I'm on my last chance type vibe right now and if they don't shape up we out.
Yea, a lot of the great ideas mentioned have been mentioned in the past by others in EA. They used to do Q&A and explain the direction of things, and how they balance, really gave us a lot of info. But once free-to-play hit, it kind of just felt like a stalemate with the game (progress-wise).
The last time I was unable to complete all the season tour stars was back in Season 1. It's getting really ridiculous.
in Mario kart they actually do have stats, but it depends on your kart and character
Yup, they even have hidden stats based on the kart parts as well, such as turbo boost!

I have an idea regarding broken character abilities in ranked. What if all racers in a specific race have access to all character abilities that were chosen for the race? All racers have access to the same item pool so there is a risk/reward for choosing your character. For example, every racer has access to Mike's doors and his item set if you choose Mike. This will bring it closer to something like Mariokart where everyone as equal access to items.
Oh wow, that's interesting. Like bringing RPG elements to the game, how would you truly like to build your racer. That's a cool concept.
At this point, a lot of the issues are clearly not issues to Gameloft, they're features. It's purposefully designed badly to funnel to the microtransactions even though that defeats the point of a Ranked Mode. But I also agree that the creative side is top notch; it's just brought down by some shady business decisions that make it hard to get new players.
Yes, I think they made it clear their target is the ones who will be the ones to pay. Even when free-to-play landed, it felt like that wasn't their main target.

I would like to see an over haul to the local / Private lobby menus, it needs a selection screen like smash bros for racers / tracks and seriously a zoomed out camera, it is so hard to see!

I agree with everything you said. It's my second season and it's getting hard towards end of every season chapter wise, the mpr is pretty much boring and annoying due to how the game match players and ofcourse those clocks...

LMAO, I definitely noticed a huge difference between when I first started Speedstorm content and now. I still have a lot of improvement to do though, but seeing the progress in real time is pretty dang cool.
I've been playing since Early Access, purchased packs for that on 3 platforms so I could cross-play (PSN, PC, and Switch) and have dumped way more money in tokens than I care to admit, especially in the current (Frozen) season, and even with numerous racers up to 5-star and level 40+, I'm still frustrated at times at how bad some aspects of this game are.
Like yourself, I love it, which is why I've spent so many hours and the joy of unlocking and leveling up, but some things they just failed to provide a clear path for, such as Epic Crew. Then of course they allow you to buy gacha for it, which was the only way I was able to get those elusive crew shards for things like Wolf Pack, Mushu, Furies, Bagheera, etc.
Also, I'm not big on the MP aspect, but I do participate in it mainly because the game economy dictates that we have to in order to achieve certain things. Then I run into the same issues you mentioned about the disparity within RMP. The other thing about it that kills me is when you do get to those high MPR levels, like I've done with Anna this season (currently MPR 30), the matchmaking is atrocious to where you end up in a 1v1 or 1v2 situation with competition at a higher character level, so you're doomed from the start and destined to lose progress points because there's no way you'll beat the others no matter how well you drive.
Game Economy is broken, levels are broken, and racer balance is broken.
I still love playing, but all that, coupled with how much money I've spent on it this season, is not sustainable.
And then on top of that, they make it even more difficult for the regulated events to get top-tier like Oswald and WALL-E. Somehow I managed to score a Top-5% for Ortensia, but the others, I imagine my time was between 5-10%, but like you said before, it's all to get me to spend money on the extra stuff I missed by not hitting the top reward tier.
I really am considering seriously dialing-back the amount of time (and definitely money) I'm investing in this, unless they can make some of these changes to help reduce the futility.
Yes, hopefully we can see some sort of step into any direction honestly come season 6. At least let me feel like something different is being done other than putting nice new seasons/characters in front of our eyes.
I am tired of losing points because of teleports and lobbies that only have 3 or 4 people. I started during the Aladdin season, and this season is already worse.
I actually was planning on stopping to play once the Game hits F2P for the Public, but decided to give Gameloft benefit of the doubt. I did manage to get the last Season's Characters which was Hades and Gaston. That left a sour taste in My mouth when They started to make It harder to obtain the Characters. Now that They done This again This Season's Racers and are doubling down further. They just Confirmed My Suspensions even further, so I just stopped playing just a week ago and been playing other Games worth My time and money
Yes, if they continue to go this route, I wonder how much further they will push until there is a breaking point.
F2p here since mid Aladin season. Honestly a way to fix ranked match would be to have it star based. That way stay competitive and once you have the shards to move up another star then you compete in the star level rank. Also they need to fix that dam wall crap. Where if you get swiped or stun it throws you at a 45 degree angle making face the wall and you stuck there. You go from 1st to last in a blink lol.
LMAO, yea some of the rams are no joke. That's why I have a podcast coming on Monday reviewing their comments discussing what players think about it.

Especially for the level you're on you just going up against players there are higher levels than yours, and plus there are always explosive items that you can't avoid.
I was athinking about the abilities and I came up with something: what if you started with two (or three) activations of your character skill. You can use them whenever during the race, but then thats it.
Not saying that would fix everything, but it would make it more tactical. Still keep the regular items, but limit character abilities. I dunno.
A new mode would be great! Grand prix, a mode with just item pickups....I mean...there's a lot of potential, but it just feels stagnant right now....
I still like the game, but its missing what made it special to beguin with.
All that said, you got me giggling at all the stuff you said 5 months ago. I think its good to look back and see what you felt 5 months ago. Its crazy to think how long it's been though, right? Lol.

The later a player starts Disney Speedstorm, the harder it is for the player to enjoy the game. I remember FF14 had this issue, but they fixed it a LONG time ago. Really wanted the new players to not feel like they had to be forced to pay for a catchup to enjoy the game. (granted that game is pay-to-play)
Yeah, I’m learning that the hard way…..on the plus side there is a limited Sully Event going on now apparently, so I’ll go do that, I only need one more Shard to unlock him, so I can now add him to my collection, but yeah, I’m struggling with the Frozen Chapters now, they should also make another Mode where you can earn Tokens in game…..cause you can only get so many Tokens in Online Ranked even if your really good at the game and have a lot of Stars on your Racers
Yea, there is definitely a stopping point to a lot of aspects in the game. I understand it's to limit how much progress you make unless you pay, but eventually, it gets to you *having* to pay or you miss the event.
Some racers are hard to get because they were offered during pass seasons.
Yeah, I unlocked Sully, had enough Red Energy Drinks and what not to max him out at Level 15, Chapter 9 of the Frozen Season offers 3 Stitch Shards which is what I need to unlock Stitch…..however you need like a 3 Star Sully in order to complete Mission to get them….what BS…..
Tried Speedstorm and loved it (honeymoon phase) but left it cos of everything you said and like getting shard and even just the colour customizations and parts is hard. The only thing that would make me come back is if they get " Cars " in the game and they put in Strip Weathers😂😂

Regulated ranked mode would be a huge benefit to this game. Basically the same leaderboard ranked climb we have now, but every character is a pre-set level
There is a huge untapped market of players who just want a proper ranked mode that is primarily skill based
It does seem like they initially *tried* to balance and take the game in the right direction in Early Access, but about 3-5 weeks before free-to-play it was radio silence and the direction of the game just came to a halt. It's like they knew the turnout wasn't as expected in EA, so let's move to another project.
What baffles me with this game is that the classes are getting more and more ill defined.
Why are the speedsters slower than basically every other class? They mostly have no defences so this makes them flat out useless at higher levels. Why do they make such insane OP abilities and then never factor in that there'll be multiple of them in an online race? Why is Jumba's unavoidable? Why is Jessie so insanely OP and packed to the gills akin to a brawler when she's a Trickster? Elizabeth Swann having that trail ability is an abomination.
This game is a complete borked mess right now.
Yea, I feel there are a lot of aspects in the game that didn't really have much foresight, but since it's already in, not much they can do.
Any step in the right direction come season 6 would be a really warm welcome and I can't wait to see what their plans are.
Another great video, Lofton! I largely agree with what you're saying. But, I feel like if you used this as an elevator pitch for Gameloft to improve the ranked MP, they would say "you're not giving us constructive feedback!" Which, imo, that wouldn't be accurate... but with developers that communicate through a community manager, sometimes you need to be explicit with customer needs vs project requirements. These two teams are rarely on the same page (just speaking from SaaS experience).
So, my two cents is: I 100% hear you. Ranked MP should be broken up in a way that makes things even across the board, so it is more skill-based. However, I would recommend you are a little more explicit in terms of what you would want them to "spec it out" to be. Maybe make a video [or vlog, if that's still the term], or even a livestream answering the question; "What do I want Ranked MP to look like?" And kind of breakdown how you would build it, if you were starting from scratch with Disney characters. Maybe they should make a "CC" rating for cups, which they kind of do with the "speed" rating of free-play. Maybe they can add matchmaking filters like "single item", or "tricksters only", etc. I'm just spitballing here.
This game has a LOT OF POTENTIAL for great multiplayer. (IMO, we need a battle mode. Especially in Andy's room. That would be hilarious). If they want the game to be bonkers, they should at least make the fails humorous. My favorite fails are when someone stuns me and I fall off a level, completely. But to take that a step further and, say when Genie gets burned he yells something like "THAT'S-A SPICYYYYY!", I don't know. XD.

I wonder if they really do look at those areas and think "what can be done to improve this aspect of the game" or is it more of a way where we can *feel* like we're heard.
All in all, I know season 6 is coming so really any step no matter how small in the right direction I'd be grateful for.
@@poppinoftenwithlofton6036 I hear that! Yeah, it's hard to say where they read feedback from. Different game developers tend to have different means of collecting info. Another F2P game I was using predominantly used Twitter until... Well... Let's just say reddit and their official forums became their preferred feedback medium as of late. Lolol.
But anyways, there were some decent changes made between seasons 4 and 5. Racer boost and mission XP towards getting the golden pass levels were dramatically improved. I was pretty happy with those changes. The ranked matchmaking feels more reasonable now than before the MPR-matching was adjusted. Now going into a ranked race with a MPR-0 character isn't absolutely devastating, lol... Just a bit challenging. The gameplay loop is still frustrating, but it was at least *slightly* adjusted. So they're trying. The mid season racer unlock events are devastatingly low amounts of shards though. So, that has been incredibly frustrating. But I know you feel similarly, as you shared on a different video, hehe.

I know ranked is a thing but i find it massively more fun to just race the ai in the events, even when you're a little underleveled by like 2 levels it can still be fun. I do gotta ask though why does arbee's arena exist? Particularly that oval track with the 4 swinging pendulums? In a game where basically every track is extremely fun and unique to play that one just feels dumb even if the music is really good still
Oh and here's a suggestion for a change, adding a retry option to ai races
I remember someone saying the Arbee track was added to ranked play due to people requesting it, it wasn't a part of it originally (i know you don't play ranked). I also think a retry option would be dope.
@@poppinoftenwithlofton6036 i do play ranked at least a little to get those bonus shards, that's actually how i got shang to star 2...speaking of which i uh...heard the infamous glitch with his unique skill for the first time XD how did they never fix that? To make it worse the sound STACKS if you use the skill more than once!

I agree, there should be a new mode… because I really just want to play the characters I want.. and most of the ones I like… or either not good or too low level. All of the ones that I have leveled up (hans) I don’t enjoy… but in order to not lose points I need to play hans.. so, yeah… I agree

What I found frustrating is there are still bugs, I sometimes get stuck in obstacles and the game doesn't replace me to the track again. You can't drive backwards, you cant move away because the hitbox is stuck, I just quit then
Yea, especially in high ranks or when you're under-leveled, those types of things can just cost you the race right then and there.
I feel like a car reset button would help alleviate many issues with getting caught in obstacles

Something I really really really hate in the game are 2 things:
1) Why TF do I want to watch what other players are using, I just want to start the race, and even if i have a really good Internet connection, everybody start 10 seconds or more before me and I stay at last.
2) And If you are in last place for a long time, they dont give you absolutely nothing to help you, the time thing, they dont give it to you, and they help other, like wtf, im in last, help me.
I feel you. I remember them saying they don't have a fix for xbox one, ps4, switch, or lower-end PC's when it comes to starting late. They were saying the best thing to do is upgrade due to hardware limitations.
"I see double 😵💫" lol, unfortunately it's still the same I mainly just play the co-op mode cuz I don't have the time to play hours on the game grinding just to play casual 😂
I feel that, yeah the fun aspect is there..just for only certain aspects of the game. Private and local are very fun especially when friends and family are in the mix.
I knew that if Skyliner was uploading on this subject, you’d do it too. Bots are slingshotting like crazy even when you’re only two levels behind the par. Rewards are extremely lackluster, like I sweated my tail off in a limited time event for shards that don’t get me anywhere near enough to unlock a character or increase their star rating (1 shard? C’mon). Also I was looking at my materials and it says that I own hundreds of a rare item, but when I go to level up my racers with said materials now suddenly I only have enough to level them up twice.
Edit: Also, Elizabeth and the Frozen racers. GREAT FAVORITISM BALANCING ISSUES BATMAN!!
This video isn't about the recent events/issues with Speedstorm. I usually follow my own unique style when it comes to content. If it falls under my umbrella and I haven't done it, I'll make a video.
I want to do my best to *create* content for you all to enjoy, not just upload what gets clicks. I respect you all way more than that and I thank each and every one of you for your support. ❤️

im sure we should of had minnie event to for players who need star her up or have not got her, the price is stupid just for 5shards to,shoukd of had more oswald shard events to do theses levels.
Yes, the prices are pretty insane for how little you get back. It's almost worth it to do loot boxes than by your character outright.
I played this game for a grand total of 5 days back in October before I dropped it because of the horrendous matchmaking and because of how p2w it was. I occasionally visit your channel to see how the game has evolved and I am certain that quitting was the right call to make. Game's evolving backwards.
Also, the way that Gameloft is so determined to add characters from movies that have fuck all to do with racing (Frozen, The Little Mermaid and WALL-E-even though WALL-E is my favorite Pixar movie, kart racing is not the first thing that pops into my mind when I think about it) instead of that one Disney movie where racing is actually a pretty big part of it, Wreck It Ralph, boggles my mind. It's so easy to determine the class of each character as well: Ralph would be the brawler, Vanellope would be the trickster, Calhoun would be the defender and Turbo would be the speedster. Like, it's such an obviously perfect fit for this game that not having it added yet makes me wonder if Gameloft is trolling the playerbase or if they're genuinely braindead.

I am so sick of this statement. The term "Gacha" is used for the monetization side derived by the Japanese Gacha which are usually the little plastic capsules from the vending machines with random gifts inside. It does NOT mean a lackluster unbalanced product. The Gacha is attached to a game.
Now you can't necessarily complain about the Gacha since randomness will always be in it's nature and it's part of the game. But you can still criticize and complain about the game's core gameplay experience because it's the whole product we're expected to engage with at the end.

If the game has little to no content welp that's Gacha for you, they don't care about the game cuz that's a Gacha game. Apparently if the game has issues that aren't specifically the actual random pulls system it's thanks to it being a Gacha game in general.

I feel where you're coming from. To see a game we loved so much hoping to improve to become better, seeing it really in the same spot with new paint is kind of heartbreaking.
I loved the game but I'm starting to hate it a lot.. (I spent a lot of money on it) most likely in about 3-5 months the game will fail and lose most of the players, it's becoming a gambling game where only those who pay more win, I hate pay to win games.. it could have been a good game if there wasn't gameloft.. before there were 7k active players today there are only 400 and constantly decreasing... I understand that they don't want to save the game but they just want to earn as much as possible before canceling everything, if they had really believed in the project they would have changed something in 5 months... yet another project ruined by microtransactions
We still may have one last hope. Once we see what they do for season 6 will determine if they really want to make something happen.

It's mind-blowing to hear/see everything you noticed more than 5 months ago still hasn't been fixed today. For me personally, I'm simply too blind to see it. Each new season, map, character makes me forget everything that was frustrating before and I can really enjoy the game in that moment. When a race or mode is very frustrating to do or is literally impossible, I just keep that on hold and come back to it after an update. As long as I can get the characters I care about to where I want them to be and I can complete the daily/weekly/season tasks, I can look the other way when it comes to issues in the game.
Yes! I think that's exactly why they have been able to do it for so long. When they add something new, it legit makes us forget about the issues. Then once you're reminded whether you play ranked or some incident happens like the season tour it's just like...oh yeah...

we need a better system for ranked why am i matching with people 12 levels over me give me bots anything at least make it fair gameloft. and im getting tired of the same tracks over n over some of them arent that great either. also tired of getting matches in diamond rank with only 3 other payers in it and theyre in a squad so theres literally no chance of winning

I didnt finish the video yet but i would change requiring SPECIFIC characters in the campaign. Or at least make them less frequent. Like i have every racer except daisy, steamboat pete and woody. Wouldnt you know i need woody and steamboat pete around level 27 to do these 2 levels. And i get the point, FOMO hits, i gotta spend money to buy the characters then buy the level up packs. But that aint happening im not a completionist i just skip them.
Im not a whale but i do spend money on the game. I very much believe if you like a game and want it to succeed you should support it, but it is just so aggressively trying to get your money. Like shaking you by the ankles i dont even want to spend.
And is it just me or are the bots getting harder. There was a course where you need a level 29 Angel. Mine is level 25. Im like ok 4 levels behind no big deal. THE STRUGGLE WAS SO REAL! You can REALLY feel the difference between 2 stars and 3. Again of course, its about money but it really feels like the game is going from pay to win to pay to play
I want power ram removed, there’s no tutorials for it so why should it be in the game? The number of times I’ve been stunned by other players and it cost me a good position is insane.
I don’t mind the competition or challenges in this game. My issues is the levels.. Why have my racers on level 30 and playing with bots higher than that even tho it says the levels are the same or less than yours. For example beast is the worse racer of them all but how is it that bot beast at level 23 is beating my beast of level 30! It’s impossibleeee 🤦🏽♀️😭😂. To be that powerful my beast would have to be a level 35 or even 40 which means they clearly cheating us out of our money. Making the Golden pass or packages even more point less.
Yea, I agree, sometimes the bots seem reaaaally hard to beat. To the point where if I see a specific character, I'm restarting the race. 😅

I’ve also noticed after or on level 30, if I follow the bots around the path they take, I end up winning instead of taking the shortcuts the maps have in place. Also, Have you noticed this week when you’re 5 seconds ahead in 1st place the cpus randomly appear in front of you as you’re about to win or a random airplane throws explosive at you?

Lower Prices, but more Gambling, i mean the casino mechanics with boxes, where you pay for duplicates, ressources or cosmetics, but they say you got shards in it. Or look at ortensia, no unlockpack but a lootbox with a 1 to 4 chance. Now the Seasontours. They give you more shards for many characters, but lower stuff for the seasonal things, but in the end they want many specific characters like this oswald shit at chapter 8. This season they give us many events, look at the star chaser - or the best seasonbox ever, but elsewhere they cut everything what we can get really, like the gold coins. Now they change the star chaser also. Maybe we get a another sully event like the other before, but for now we got this 5try thing and a time trial? They cut the weekly requirements, so you not more play MP for it, its good, but now they want 10 rounds with these 15 with these. Ok, this are weeklys, but look at the other events where you must drives 2 or 3 times to complete a task....it feels more as work than as fun. As i say often before, this game has so many issues and every week it gets more and more and the players goes every week until this game is dead...

Yea, looking back 5 months and nothing has changed except for a shiny new coat of paint does have me a little less than hopeful. I wanted to be more accepting of season 6, like this is their time to really make that change. But to have 5 months go by and no improvements at all unless it's to earn more money is a little insane.

Most of it seems like their focus is on the paying players. Make things a little harder for the ones that spend a lot and if it's just enough, they will still buy more due to them already committing so much money into the game. It's a valid business strat, but I 1000% don't agree with it.

Yes, I think season 6 would be the turning point. If nothing is changed there, then they most likely are not planning on doing much else other than catering to the paying audience.
