This is a clickbait post, no way that car gets totaled. You should have seen my 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport after the first year with Hyundai's god awful paint.
It’s not. Look up the inventory at the Kia store in Pueblo Colorado, you will see it. The transportation company says there is damage on every panel, front glass and digital grill, and will not release the car to the dealership. Since it was delivered after hours and nobody inspected it when it was dropped off they are taking it back. It’s not Kia’s call. Since the transportation company sent out an inspector who has now deemed it a loss they are taking it back. This was my car and now my reality. They are fast tracking me another one.
There is no way in hell they're going to crush a $78,000 brand new 2024 vehicle because of stone chips. Replace the glass and front grille, repaint and PPF the rest and that's under $20k.
I’m hoping not but they had a conversation today with the transport company and it’s looking like they are pushing to come take the vehicle. I was hoping for some $$ as compensation but that is looking less and less likely. The owner and GSM are pushing for us to keep and fix but it might be an insurance thing now with the transport company now.

Honestly they are working on a payout and they are talking about 17k to 18k. I’ll know more soon. My store owner is lobbying for a pay out.
Review all the seams between the finders and wheel-wells for paint defects; I recently found several issues in mine...paint bubbles and pealing.

Corporate spending is wild. At least they gave you a choice though, Insurance didn't give me a choice when they totalled my car because they didn't want to pay for a new catalytic converter.

The damage doesn’t look bad enough that you couldn’t take it to a detail or paint correction shop for 10x cheaper and you’d obviously be able to have your vehicle. But I also work at Kia and waiting on one of these as well same trim and color just with brown interior. That’s sucks tho I feel your pain
It’s the transportation company that it’s being a pain. They have responsibility because of how it was delivered. They are saying that the warranty may be voided if they discount the car and that’s a big IF, and I wouldn’t get the lease cash or rebates because it wouldn’t be sold as a new car. I’m so cracked. I should know more next week.

I wish. It’s the transportation company’s call. If I were to buy it I couldn’t get the rebates because it’s flagged for damage. In my 6 years working here I’ve never seen this before.

Tell them to give you WAY better price or more for your trade so you get better tax credit. Then go to a great detailer and it will be FINE 👍
@Furbaby87 I’m in sales at the dealership. Since it’s transport damage the transport company wants to take the vehicle and handle it internally and not release the vehicle to the dealership. EV6 values dropped 4k after the 1st of the year.
