I am a Certified Jun Fan?jkd Instructor under Dan Inosanto and I trained directly with Paul at the academy on Saturdays back in the early 90's. The reason Paul invented Butki Nagara was to keep secret some on the more deadly moves or motions and levers that could liability to him. Some levers do not allow the person being swepr to break thier own fall causing them to land on their neck.> However, Paul is the Pendekar of Serak and is a technitiion. His brother Victor the better fighter.
@silatplayer7 If you're certified by pendekar to teach then you can teach. There's imposters in every art that took a few classes and seminars and then tried to say they could teach it of course. That closed door approach was the way of almost all martial arts just 50 years ago. A lot of silat especially because each area would have thier own system and it is a survival art not some ring sport but his method is very effective and I recommend learning from anyone truelly certified
it's unfortunate the quality of these videos isn't higher because Silat is considered a very advanced system and Mr. DEthours is acclaimed as a very capable teacher look forward to more in the futURE!!
