@@edhdeckbuilding I mean so is getting a basic land into your hand for 2 mana. Can't think of any deck that would really need that effect. Lategame that's worse than simply drawing a basic imo
Demo thank you so much, your videos are such a massive help. Funnily enough I'm in the process of putting together a Osgir and Zirda deck and these are some good options for me. I tend to build decks in a way that I think will be weird or challenging and you always have something for me!
So if you combine Skyship weatherlight and mana severance you can essentially exile most of your deck and just leave the ten cards you want :D. Takes more hoops than its worth I guess, but it does sound fun.
Nice content really love these videos highlighting underplayed/lesser known cards :) I cannot resist making one small comment though ... with Planar bridge you actually can get board wipes in the form of Nevinyrral's Disk and Scourglass. (though Scourglass obviously only if playing white)
Ring of three wishes is great when used in tandem with Master Transmuter. Swap a free artifact token for the ring. Use the ring twice. Then swap it for a card you found with it. Then swap again for 3 more wishes. And yet Genie said there was no wishing for more wishes...
sorry man. i was researching but decided against it. although interesting cards include, jester's cap, grinning totem, monkey's cage, coveted jewel and retributive wand. i also have a really bananas idea for an osgir deck but that's coming up in a later video.
I use Ring of Three Wishes in my Samut theme deck - it’s a Primal Surge deck, so permanents in Naya that can search for a sorcery are very limited! (It’s Gurren Lagann, so the ring and the spell correlate with the finale - can’’t wait to pull off the 10-mana sorcery victory with no way to protect it from counterspells)
I'm building my first commander deck from my old cards I pulled over the last 20+ years , but haven't played in 10. I was thinking about adding my Mangara's Tome, but you didn't mention the risk that I was adverse to, because if your opponent manages to remove the Tome from play aren't those 5 (or less) exiled cards gone from play now? I'm blue/green/white so I think there are plenty of options, if I go order singles , but now maybe I'll reconsider the Tome back in my casual starter. 👍
Welcome to commander! You’re right about the tome’s risk - I feel like it could work in an inconspicuous deck, like the snake deck in another comment, but yeah it depends on how suspicious your opponents are of it. But you could use it initially just to see how it goes, but if you have a regular playgroup and the tome gets you one win, they probably won’t let it happen again..!
I recently put my Planar Bridge into my Neheb, the Eternal deck and the first game in which i got Planar Bridge, i won on turn 4, pretty strong. (I did some burn effects, then planar bridge into Aggravated Assault, and that went infinite)
I used to use citanul flute a lot in my snake tribal deck I just kept telling everyone it was the snake charmers flute, 'for flavour reasons' and they usually ignored it! They quickly regretted that when I got out a blight mamba and pumped it to eleven power with kaseto orochi arch mage making it unblockable. XD
If I'm reading Mangara's Tome correctly, can you activate that ability multiple times to replace one card draw with multiple of those cards? I can't really see any reason you can't. The oracle rulings don't say anything on it.
grinning totem i almost put on the list. and yes i avoided lands cause they're on my utility lands list. and avoided anything involving ramp cause i'm doing a colorless ramp list.
I think Bridge is better than Portal. Unless youre looking for a 1 drop, a card with an on cast effect, or a non permanent, Bridge is cheaper and better. And Bridge *can* get you a board wipe, there are quite a few permanent based board wipes such as Nevinyrral's Disk, Perilous Vault, and Oblivion Stone.
I’m surprised Kuldotha Forgemaster didn’t make the list. It may be a little narrow but in the right deck it’s amazing
very specific. just like with inventor's fair, they only go in artifact decks.
@@edhdeckbuilding I mean so is getting a basic land into your hand for 2 mana. Can't think of any deck that would really need that effect. Lategame that's worse than simply drawing a basic imo
Would also expect it to be here. Was the very first card I thought of when I clicked on this video.

As a proud owner of a zirda artifacts deck, you re in for a treat
Glad to see Citanul flute getting love! I use it in my hydra tribal deck to get a hydra for cheap, then cast it the next turn with a huge CMC lol

good point.
Nice list; I played Citanul Flute soooo much back in the day. I used it my Green and Red/Green decks very often.
my favorite thing to do with Skyship Weatherlight is use it to tutor out a 16 cmc Draco in my Bell Borca deck.
Also, Jesters cap is very good in food chain strategies to go get your cast from exile creatures
Sweet. New tutors for my Hope of Ghirapur deck. Thanks!
Another great video! Love the different options you provide and your voice is relaxing.

Really want to see the osgir deck you were researching. I’m upgrading the Precon and it’s nuts. Would love to see what direction you would go in

Glad demo's back
Have you posted a Pir and Toothy decklist? I'll have to check. I'd love to see your take on it.
I would love to see an Aphemia The Cacophony list. Never seen one before
my friend plays one. its low power for sure, but pretty fun
Hey Demo, I always wanna use Grinning Totem, to cheese an opponent out of a mana rock or something. Not sure if you know about that one!
i do know about it. i actually did consider it for this list.
@@edhdeckbuilding oh cool. I think an osgir deck with these little known wacky artifacts would be a blast

Planar portal! I was looking for something like this!

jesters cap one of my favorite of all time ...used it since ice age
2 manna get a basic land in mono color. Wouldnt yk.. want to just use that slot for a basic land in your color identity.
If I'm reading Mangara's Tome correctly, can you activate that ability multiple times to replace one card draw with multiple of those cards? I can't really see any reason you can't. The oracle rulings don't say anything on it.
I don't know if you were trying to avoid lands for a particular reason, but I'd put Inventor's Fair pretty high on this list.
Oh and also, along the same lines as Jester's Cap except that it tutors a card for you, Grinning Totem!
grinning totem i almost put on the list. and yes i avoided lands cause they're on my utility lands list. and avoided anything involving ramp cause i'm doing a colorless ramp list.
I like Journeyer's Kite a lot for hitting land drops every turn
What happens with the exiled cards when Skyship Weatherlight gets destroyed? Do the cards remain exiled?
they do i'm afraid.

Yo Demo, could you do a Codie resurrection Deck
I was just looking for cards like this. It is hard to tutor enchantments in blue.
Depending on what you are looking for I have started running muddle in mixture and drift in phantasms in blue for a 2/3 cmc search transmute
Wayfarers bauble? Puts a land directly on the field, also burnished heart pay 3 tap put 2 lands onto the field
yeah so those are more ramp cards. saving them for my colorless ramp video. shhh don't tell anyone.
I'm suprised journeyer's kite didn't make this. Even so I love the list.
I reckon thaumatic compass is better tbh. It's cheaper to activate and it turns into a better maze of ith (That actually taps for mana).
probably shoulda gave thaumatic compass a mention. i like that card too.
Well there’s your next top ten, colourless non mana rock ramp! Wayfarers bauble, burnished heart, wanders twig... etc. 🙃
I play tamiyo’s journal in playful fun decks, but that card never makes it in my CEDH builds, too slow.
Inventors' Fair is a great artifact tutor.
I was coming to mention this one…. Definitely a great tutor!!
More like, "Thanks for Tutoring in!"
nice!
Surprised not to see inventor's fair tbh
Let's goooo
I thought Lessons weren't legal in commander?????????
they are not. you just can't get the "outside of game" stuff.
Golos? Where is golos?
golos is a 5color card right?
Look at that im such a fiend that im the first here
