Very, very often. The very first multinational corporation, the East India Company, had to be bailed out, but involved the Crown taking direct control. It's how India became a British colony. Read "The Anarchy" by William Dalrymple if you'd like to know more
But essentially every exchange has had bubbles, and every bank has needed a bailout (or became owned by the government). Money is not god, it is a tool. There is nothing absolute about it, which is why people ride it like a wave and try to get off before it reaches shallow waters.
Now if we could just get that money tree we would all be good. I like calling it The Money Tree cuz it's in front of the institutions that makes everybody money.
The current buttonwood tree has a way to go before it's as large as the original tree at the time the buttonwood agreement was signed underneath it if the painting of it on the video is any indication. 🌲
Money grows on trees on a new level. That tree represents the Treasury.
That’s a sad looking tree 😢
Cuz its supposed to really represent the decline of America lmao
@@SirGandalfII Decline? The US does still exist and well, maybe less when a democrat controls it.

The history of bailouts should show we arent doing money right.
I think I understand now why The Economist has a column called Buttonwood.
Hadn’t the Dutch done something similar, centered on a bench (banc) under a tree?
