this really still is better than any VR headset for watching just casual movies and documentaries. I have tried the Varjo Aero HMD which is one of the highest resolution VR headsets available, but to me the field of view you get from omnimax is superior than any other immersive visual experience available to the average consumer. I watched three movies in a row with the new laser projector that was installed at Mugar Omni Theater in Boston, the overpowered IMAX sound system in pair with the maximized human field of view movie screen is out of this world. If I somehow owned 25 million dollars the first thing I would do is try to build an Omnimax theater in my house.
