I’m thinking that you’re somewhere in Orange County, Ca or Central CA. I’m originally from San Francisco Bay Area. However, when I bought my colonial house in Fresno, California, I planted 160 bare root roses. Now, however, I have just recently moved here to Southern, Indiana and growing hybrid teas and grandifloras are more than challenging here. I would love to know if you use Cedarwood mulch and if you use a liquid 12 month systemic? I was also thinking you must have an underground watering system or at least a drip system. Fortunately, I don’t have to worry about watering much here being that we get so much rain. Would love to know your fertilizer of choice as well as insecticide. I just discovered your videos tonight. Absolutely wonderful.
@@john-robert1961 Thanks for the kind words. I’m in Elk Grove, just south of Sacramento, moved here 2 years ago from TX and started this rose garden also about 160 roses. When I lived in Texas I used Mancozeb and Propriconazole together as a spray to combat blackspot. So far I’ve been no-spray in CA. I also used cedar mulch, it worked well, I use finely shredded redwood in CA because it’s readily available and easily spread. For roses in ground I like a balanced organic like Plant Tone or similar, plus compost, alfalfa tea and seaweed in spring. For pot, frequent light feedings of miracle gro, sometimes with alfalfa tea and seaweed
@@GardenGlimpses-NorCal it’s like developing your own secret recipe. Lol! I’ve done pretty much the same thing. I like the many different concoctions that I’ve come up with through the years. Cedar and redwood mulch should be helpful in deterring pests. I’m familiar with Elk Grove, El Dorado Park, Folsom, Old Sac, etc. lol! See, you don’t have humidity there like I have here. I have never lived outside of California until just six years ago. Let me tell you, it sure is different. However, coming from Texas I would think that you would know what humidity is like, as well. That’s all I have to say to that. Lol Anyhow, i’m looking forward to watching more of your videos and seeing more of those wonderful roses. I want to thank you for giving me all that information on your fertilizing, pesticide and fungicide routine.
Stunning roses in a beautiful garden. Your garden is inspirational to many rose lovers around the world. Very nice collection of lovely roses. I would love to add many of these roses to my wish list, however we can't get dry sunny climate in England. So I will enjoy these roses in RUclips videos only. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful video of lovely roses. 👍
@@GardenGlimpses-NorCal Very true. In Europe we have good choice roses from DA ( English) Meilland and Delbard ( French), Kordes and Tantau ( German) and many other rose growers. I have few US roses, Julia child, Arctic blue rose. May add twilight zone rose, soon. Happy gardening 🌱
Greetings from Ireland, Beautiful roses, We have one peony rose no thorns great we get along. My mother is eighty seven and loves the thorny fuppers in her flower beds. I call down every weekend to look after her flower beds. I like to garden naked oh sorry I meant I don't wear gloves never have and never will. There have been times I thought I'd end up in A&E after weeding around them.
@@GardenGlimpses-NorCal Yes, unless giving them good protection, otherwise they always die to the ground. next spring start all over again so they never grow to the full size as described. and three flushes is the best one can get here...sigh...
Thank you for sharing your rose garden. It is my favorite rose garden so far. I was inspired by watching your video. May I ask which vendors do you use to buy most of your roses? Thanks
Dear Garden friend, Exceptionally beautiful rose garden and you are maintaining it well too, 1st time I am seeing some of the new roses, weather plays a vital role as well! I live in NJ and I have been feeding with rose tone or any Espoma tone but mine never bloomed so profusely, lot of aphids and black spot issue in summer, can I ask you few questions? Where do you buy these beauties from? And how to you care them ? What fertilizer do you use and do you spray?I wish you good luck for your channel , definately you deserve more subscribers and I subscribed too😊
Hello, when I lived in an area with blackspot, I used to spray with a combo of Mancozeb and Propriconazole, that seemed to take care of it the best both available on Amazon. Neem oil for aphids.. I think Espoma is good plant food, maybe add some compost in spring, and alfalfa tea.
Absolutely gorgeous roses you have. First time seeing roses garden so healthy without any yellow leave and first time seeing many of new roses. Thank you for sharing it with us. Would you mind sharing what type of soil do you use, type of spray and fertiliser. Thanks
In early spring, I will put a 2” layer of compost plus an organic fertlizer like plant-tone. In addition, alfalfa tea plus seaweed and miracle-gro. In late summer I will repeat the plant-tone. I might supple the liquid feed miracle-gro plus seaweed every month or two.
This is a truly exceptional rose collection and I’ve never seen anyone with one of the David Austin wedding roses (how do you get those varieties?). Thanks for sharing your passion for roses.
Your roses are so pretty. Is your Juliet rose planted in semi-shade? I ask mine is in a vase right now and I would like to put her in the ground but the only space I have is in semi-shade.

Thank you, I am in the Sacramento CA area, we are fortunate not to have blackspot here. When I lived in Texas, I found a combination of mancozeb and propriconazole sprayed every 2-3 weeks controlled BS well.
I have many roses that grows in pots and always tend to shoot out very long canes while I saw yours are almost the same high. I pruned only once a year on winter time the rest is just dead heading. Please advise. Thank you in advance
I would go ahead and prune between flushes , just make sure you leave a few leaflets. Some varieties tend toward long canes, don’t be afraid to prune short.
I Love All Kinds & Colors Of Roses. Thanks For Sharing Your Beautiful Rose Garden. I have more Roses to Buy. 😊❤️🌹🌹🌹

Thank you. Maybe check Etsy?
مشاركة جميلة حقا😍 في اللحظة الأولى من الفيديو يوجد أزهار صغيرة بنفسجية اللون ما اسمها؟؟ وشكرا لك🌺🌺🌺
Purple flower is Limonium Perezi, aka Statice. Bloomes 365 days a year in a Mediterranean climate like mine. Thanks for the kind words.

Mine is in sun most of the day, I think it would be best in at least half sun
Amazing ❤❤ what growing zone are you?
Thanks, I am 9B sunset 14

What type of trellis are you using for your climbing rose along the fence and where to get it? Thank you
Anyway, your garden is so beautiful
Hello it is just.a simple metal grid 4x4” squares. I bought it in a roll at Home Depot. I secure it to my wood fence with staples and nails.
Beautiful garden! Where do you garden? What state? Do you spray for blackspot prevention? Thanks (V.)
Thank you, I am in the Sacramento CA area, we are fortunate not to have blackspot here. When I lived in Texas, I found a combination of mancozeb and propriconazole sprayed every 2-3 weeks controlled BS well.
Your rose garden is eclectic. What is your method of growing your roses from cuttings?
I use a loose potting soil and hormex #8 for rooting roses. Keep the soil on the dry side, they always used to rot for me until I did that.
@@GardenGlimpses-NorCal thank you so much. I always wondered why my cuttings are always rotting. I will try this and keep you posted.
Hiii Could you please tell me where did you get Madame Issacc Perepier??? Thanks in advance!! 🙏
Mine came from Roses Unlimited
a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y gorgeous!!!! where are you getting your beautiful bandroses from???
Hello Roses Unlimited and Heirloom roses have a good online selection, some of the others I trade for with friends.
Hello. Where did you get the bluemoon stone rose?
Gorgeous!! How far apart do you plant your roses?
I try for about 4 ft, but in a long sunny season like mine it is not quite enough
I am for 4 ft apart, but space is limited. I wish I could give some of them even more room than that.
I have many roses that grows in pots and always tend to shoot out very long canes while I saw yours are almost the same high. I pruned only once a year on winter time the rest is just dead heading. Please advise. Thank you in advance
I think you should cut the rose to whatever height you like after a bloom flush, it will help regererate for rebloom
I would go ahead and prune between flushes , just make sure you leave a few leaflets. Some varieties tend toward long canes, don’t be afraid to prune short.
What is the blue -violet plant near Twilight zone?😊
Statice - Limonium Perezii
Where did you purchased Chandos rose?
Min came from Hortico, also K&M may carry it too
Could you tell us how old these are as well
They are varying ages, between 1-3 years in my garden, hard to say about age because some also came as small own root plants
How do you buy roses from Tantau?
What zone are you in?
9B Sunset 14, N California
I couldn't like Thierry Marx... She seemed dirty, the color was strange... not to my liking.
Are you delighted with it?
I think the combination of form and color is unique, so I do like it.
