Misfits are one of the best punk bands peace love and unity
The misfits(Jerry Only's version) beat up my High school band teachers band for making fun of them and the venue they were all playing at. Those type of jokes were part of their shtik, but the Misfits shtik is being a bunch of hardcore punks. My band teacher just barely avoided a beating himself.
After getting arrested, they probably found an easier ritual that would ensure fame and success, while also a bit more discreet.

Jerry explained that the cheeseburger fight happened at McDonald's. The Misfits got into a fight at McDonald's over a cheeseburger in Los Angeles in 1982 because they were running out of money and drummer Arthur Googy wanted two cheeseburgers and Glenn got pissed off.

Should be arrested for charging $300+ for tickets. Just kidding, ACAB. FTP....but that's totally not punk when other punk legends are still touring for $30 tickets. These guys aren't even touring. I wouldn't even say they were ever punk. Jocks & punks didn't mix well together especially back then. That being said one of my favorite bands growing up.
