As someone who was in middle school during the 90's, trust me, they were just as shitty then as they are now.
Just the media tends to cover bullying a lot more these days. And modes of bullying are totally different now, since so few of us had internet back then and it was dial-up.
I imagine if we had the same social media access then as we do now, it would be just as bad if not worse.

I normally hate bully characters in movies, but I genuinely laughed my ass off at these two as a kid. There’s something funny about their attitudes that you can’t help but laugh at them rather than hate them. I actually kinda felt sorry for them when Max left them to die.

David Breen there’s a book sequel sort of called hocus Pocus and the all new sequel but that’s as close of a sequel storyline as you’re gonna get for the first movie.

Is it me, or does his hat look a bit different "build" wise during each different scene. The first time he wears it, it looks more like a structured wool snapback (has a higher profile), but when he goes to take his sister out to trick or treat, it appears its lost its shape (looks more like an unstructured baseball wool cap.) Even the brim appears to be much more rounded. Whats even more strange is that later on it appears to change back to how it looked in the first scene.
These guys are the best part of the movie

I would have done the same thing because I buy my jordans with money i work hard for and I was bullied alot in middle school so they deserved the scare from being left behind but I would have reported them to the police so they could have been released from the cages in the morning which is more than likely what max did.

Yep, the good guy should let go of guys being a**holes to him in this situation. I feel like any decent human would. This isn't about shoes, it's life and death (and possibly torture too).
