Serge Years ago in the early to mid 90's a Christian Outreach Group of Churches sponsored several Ukrainian Families to come live in my small to Medium sized 🏙️ City in the Southeastern US A young couple then in their 20's lived in the Apartment behind me and their parents lived in a Unit Downstairs! They were wonderful people! Their then young son I called Sweet Baby James! After James Taylor! He's all grown up now! In my Hometown they have painted all the Fire Hydrants Blue 🔵 and Yellow in support of Ukraine! You are extremely brave and your voice is missed! Prayers for you your family and all of you guys in Ukraine Peace and stay safe!

Glad to see your response was from just 4 weeks ago. I haven’t seen any info on Serge until now. I’ll be seeing L & F here in SoCal on 11/12. I agree with you 100% on how much I miss his vocals and all of the instrumental work he did as well. Definitely, one of the best tenor vocalists in the realm of rock, pop, jazz, etc.
A truly amazing vocalist... I got to see in concert a few years ago... One of the things I really admired about Leonid & Friends was they have Ukrainians in their group, music is the uniter. I have visited Ukraine as a tourist, beautiful place, lovely people. I hope my country doesn't let Ukraine down, and we help make sure they are a free country.

This right here is a powerful interview! Often wars far away from us seem unconnected to our lives in peaceful countries. However, as we have a strong emotional connection to Serge and the Leonid and Friends band through their awesome music, the Ukraine war becomes very personal for us. This is good though, as it inspires more and more of us in the West to shout as one the words "Slava Ukraini!" and urge our leaders to send more help to Ukraine.
I discovered this band on RUclips only few month ago, but already a big fan. Serge and all the members of Leonid & Friends are representing what is best in humanity. I hope I will be able to attend one of their concerts ( with Serge) in near future.....God bless!
Serge I prayed when this whole thing began. I too am also a musician. I played bass on a recording here in Nashville, Tn. with a rock band in July 1967. One of my favorite Rock groups is Chicago. I've listened to your bands covering a lot of their songs. You guys are very good. Both you and the band and your families come on and live in Nashville.. You know were Music City U.S.A. In 2014, I did the final paper for my International Relations Bachelors degree on the Russian annexation of Crimea and the separatist movement in the Donbas region. I have been following the story since and was not completely surprised at the developments. I am glad that Serge is doing well and is as safe as possible.
