Join me as I investigate this Rover 100 I purchased as a "non runner" at auction for £600!! It's only got 13,600 miles on the clock and looks to be original! Is it going to be a good project car for a 1.8VVC or does it deserve some restoration?
Making content like this on RUclips is a new adventure for me so please LIKE, COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE it will really help me out! Many more ideas and projects coming up in the future! Thank you!

We need more people with your attitude. Good for you i hope you get it on the road and take it to shows and enjoy it. People like to knock BL cars but i like them. In most respects they were ahead of their time who else had front wheel drive back then. My local BL dealer sent a marina and a mini to Osselli engineering to have them made into rally cars on a special deal. I was told they were very fast cars when they came back. ❤😁
Thank you very much! I can report that the car is on the road and going well 😁 I agree BL did some great things for motoring back in the day!
My "every day" is an A-series Austin Clubman (1990) super motor!!
That's awesome!!!
OMG!! I was lucky enough for my parents to buy me an absolutely identical one of these for my 19th birthday back in 95.
Of course a Rover 100 was never at the top of my dream list but I grew to absolutely love it, it was a great wee car.
That video has brought a smile to my face, good memories 👍🏻
Great to hear you enjoyed the video! Thank you. The next instalment is not too far away! Always great to hear a family automotive history also 👍
Christmas '96 when I was 19 I opened my present and it was a Rover keychain. Could my father have bought me a 214 SLi just like his or perhaps a Rover Metro??.. nope, it was literally just a keychain 😢
getting very rare now not many left good to see you saving this one
Not many around at all! Thank you 👍
dawn and ian kennedy are your go to people for the suspension
Thanks for the info!
Well, that’s eight minutes of my life I’ll never get back.
7 minutes 26 seconds to be exact 😅👍
Basic motoring at its best...used to love driving the Austin Metro's and then later these R100's...My father was a big fan of them too and bought many over the years...what's your intentions with this one then?...is it a rebuild and restore to former glory job or are u just gonna use it as a cheap run around?...would look great with colour coded bumpers on it I think...Great video...keep the videos coming...really enjoyed this!!!...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you very much!! I started out with the Rover 214si but I've driven a few Metros in the past! All will be revealed 👀 I agree with the colour coded bumpers... There is a list currently being ticked off of things that are arriving for this Metro ✅
@@themotorshed can't wait to see what your plans are 4 it and see what it turns out like...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Random handsome devil 😈
😂😂
Just don't crash it. Fold up like a paper aeroplane.
Oh yes definitely! They failed the safety tests so badly 😅
