_Robot Chicken_ had a sketch called "Welcome To The Golf Jam" and the movie within the sketch was called "DiC Golf Jam". It was sort of a parody of _Space Jam_ but with Tiger Woods and DiC cartoon characters.

I think "Varsity Bugs" might've had the most potential out of all these cancelled sequels. It would've been interesting to see how they'd handle the outdated 2D cartoons vs the updated CGI ones scenario, and the running gag with Keanu Reeves becoming a geek seemed interesting. That Marvin the Martian movie could've worked with the right materials. The CGI on him looked pretty solid, even if it's not the planned final version. As for the other planned sequels, I think most of them would be better off as either shorts or commercials (ironic, I know). Although, I admire that Tony Hawk was genuinely onboard with "Skate Jam," so maybe his enthusiasm could've given that movie some energy.
Most fans including me want to see a new "Jam" film that Pro Wrestling as the sport of choice especially since Pro Wrestling meeting the wacky chaos that is the Looney Tunes is basically a match made for each other plus Bugs in that one early short/cartoon won a pro wrestling match.
@@gambler942 I wanted to see another Space Jam game like the arcade-style PS1 title but use the power ups from NBA Jam. But I would like to see Looney Toon game with all sports like, basketball, football, baseball, hockey, soccer, tennis, racing and Golf in one game.
Looney Tunes: Back in Action really is an underrated gem! The animation is suburb, the humor is great, the tributes to classic films are a joy and several individual scenes are so entertaining even without context. Not only is it such a crying shame that it’s a scapegoat for why most of these Looney movies never got made, but also as part of the excuse for people not being interested in 2D animation anymore at that time (As with the case of Atlantis).
@@JonathanGaeta You got to be very careful about when you release your film and make sure that there's no tough competition, especially with family-friendly films.
Thoughts on these cancelled movies Marvin The Martian: I remember watching the test footage when it was first released and thought it was ok but now looking back I wish this movie would’ve been made because it has a very interesting plot, I think this was the best of the test footage that Alcon Entertainment was working on Hong Kong Phooey was just awful. Also the kid in the test footage is Jake Short from Disney’s A.N.T. Farm and Mighty Med. The Original Space Jam 2: This just sounds awful, way too goofy/far fetched and looked like an obvious cash grab no wonder Michael Jordan didn’t want to do it. Race Jam: Not really into racing but would’ve been cool to see the Looney Tunes suit up in race gear and race cars with epic car crashes. Golf Jam: Again not really into golf but having Tiger Woods on the movie would make sense considering he is a very big name in the world of golf, and Spike Lee writing it could’ve given the movie possibly more of an edge with it’s humor. Spy Jam: It would’ve been freaking amazing to see Jackie Chan with the Looney Tunes doing awesome moves and fighting techniques on the bad guys. Skate Jam: This is my favorite idea out of the proposed Jam series, I like Tony Hawk and it would’ve been sick to see him Skate with the Looney Tunes with epic tricks and moves, it probably would’ve had an amazing soundtrack with a Pop Punk/Skate Punk soundtrack like the Tony Hawk video games. It’s really a shame that it never happened cause it could’ve been a goofy fun popcorn movie, but Tony Hawk did get to star in a movie… Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom Sabotage… yeah not a good trade off. Varsity Bugs: I really like this idea of Billy Madison with Looney Tunes and the scenarios could be really good with a high school setting, the plot reminds me of An Extremely Goofy Movie, and the Keanu Reeves running joke idea is really hilarious, and I would’ve preferred it over what Alvin and The Chipmunks The Squeakquel did with the characters in high school. Conclusion: It’s really a shame that Looney Tunes Back In Action bombed so hard that WB cancelled everything Looney Tunes and gave up on them even resorting to rebooting them slightly in Loonatics Unleashed, while not all the ideas were good there were some that were really good and I would’ve seen. But let’s see how Space Jam: A New Legacy performs and hopefully the Looney Tunes will return more prominently.
I always thought they should have made a sequel of Space Jam with Kobe Bryant before he died God rest his soul. They could’ve asked Jordan for help and then Jordan could’ve said I’m a little old for this but I know somebody who could help and introduced them tunes to Kobe. If they were going to jump to another sport they should’ve went with football and made one with Tom Brady.
The only one of these ideas that I think would work today is Spy Jam with Jackie Chan, he’s known for being a very comedic action star and often uses his environment to his advantage and I think that could work well with the Looney Tunes’ slapstick comedy (dude even got his own cartoon with Jackie Chan Adventures).
Jackie Chan said he loved cartoon in the very first episode of Jackie Chan Adventures. He could turn into his Jackie Chan adventure design but use his voice and James Sie can play a different character or a villain. Maybe another Jackie Chan (real one) versus Jackie Chan (James Sie). Like Twins with Arnold and Danny Devito but with Looney Toons. But they don’t have to use that idea.
I’m probably the only one who wants Race Jam. Jeff Gordon appeared in Back in Action, there was a bunch of Looney Tunes themed cars in NASCAR during 2000-2003, the Looney Tunes co-sponsored races in 01 and 02, and personally, I just wanna see two of my most favorite things combined again.
I'm a huge NASCAR fan too but if they did race jam back in the 90s don't use Jeff use NASCAR's greatest ever and my all-time favorite racer Dale Earnhardt
Yeah! Me too! But...Rotten Tomatoes had to be =### and already put some reviews on their site! They actually put 56% to the movie! So we know that Rotten Tomatoes isn’t the best when it comes to reviews (especially when you see their reviews on movies like Mulan, The three first ice age or even Wonder Woman 1987) But yeah I’m hopping for a good time with this movie!
Most of these would fall into the same Subject of "LOST MEDIA". Its pretty much common in the Animation/Live-Action business when it comes to making a TRUCK LOAD of Live-Action and Animated TV shows and movies, good or bad.
Jackie Chan / Tiger Woods / Tony Hawk crossovers would've been legendary hits imo. Other movies may've been fun, but felt they lacked the star power that made the original interesting.
I know! I laughed so hard watching it. If a Golf Jam ever actually came out, which I doubt, they should put the DIC characters in it again. (Joke). lol
@@howdy90 Not only would I have paid money to see that film, but there was a better multi-man WWE match-type that would've worked given the whole team-premise that would be the multi-man Mixed Tag-Team Elimination match as it has the team premise but still would've had the idea of WWE superstar from our world has to work with the Looney Tunes to save the Looney Tunes World.
Golf Jam actually became a Robot Chicken sketch, only instead of Looney Tunes characters, it involved characters from Dic (the company that made Inspector Gadget and the original Sonic cartoons)
It would have been awesome if Warner Brothers green-lighted the Looney Tunes cinematic universe with all these cancelled projected. They actually should’ve thought of Hockey Jam, Football Jam or perhaps the Multiverse Jam.
Wasn't there also another cancelled space jam, well not really cancelled I should say. The current Space Jam sequel was originally going to star Blake Griffin, however that changed to Lebron, the original pitch for the current sequel
Chris is entertaining because he is somehow very mature because you can tell that he enjoys doing this and takes it dead seriously and immature (in a truly positive way if this makes sense) because you can tell he is a kid at heart or never lost the wonder of a younger person. The latter is praiseworthy, especially as one gets older. You are great.
@@imveritasproductions but mike Myers was going to do it and we know that mike Myers has done alot of successful hilarious movies before like shrek and Austin powers movies.
Hi ,Chris I found more Easter eggs that you haven't mentioned in The Easter Egg Breakdown Video of The Original Trailer. At 12:22 I think on the bottom front of IGOO and behind one of War Boys from Mad Max could be eather the Thomas Hewitt Leatherface from The 2003 Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake or Babyface from the 2009 Slasher Film ,The Hills Run Red However at but that's not all , because at 13:24 on the far left by Foghorn is The Babba Sawyer Leatherface from The Original 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre because back in 1980 ,New before Warner Brothers bought New Line Cinema , They got permission from Bryanstein Pictures if they can Distribute it and released again in Theaters.
A Space Jam racing edition would be nice and would fit perfectly well with the whole Serverse thing in A New Legacy. Imagine racing through the Looney Tunes world, DC Universe, Mad Max World, Harry Potter World, Game Of Thrones universe, and many more. Could do something similarly to Mario Kart and Wacky Races. But in an alternate universe, we're seeing that happen.
Varsity bugs would of been so funny! Sadly I think it might be too late to do something like that but I wouldn’t be opposed ! Great vid as always Chris !
Besides the Marvin movie there was also supposed to be a Pepe le pew movie and there are speedy Gonzalez and wile e coyote movies in development rn Also the “varsity bugs” looney tunes plot sounds a lot like Space jam a new legacy because in both the toons might’ve got deleted
I like Spy Jam starring Jackie Chan and Looney Tunes characters with a surprise cameo of Chris Tucker, a co-star of Rush Hour series. Sadly, it didn't get work on it.
I absolutely hope Varsity Bugs gets made one day. I literally laughed for that entire segment. Pure genius ESPECIALLY now with Keanu Reeves being so beloved
Im sure in a Parallel Universe, my alternative self is watching this video talking about a bunch of cancelled Fast and Furious films because in that universe the Space Jam Cinematic Universe exists
Now that would be interesting. A Space Jam Cinematic Universe (SJCU). It can be 100% possible. We already have the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), The Arrowverse, the DC Entertainment Cinematic Universe (DCECU) and the Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe (HBCU) thanks to SCOOB! that came on Amazon 2020 and then got a Theatrical release in 2021.
Looney Tunes back in action is a Joe Dante film and Joe Dante’s worst film is the howling which people argue is better than an American werewolf in London so ergo joe Dante has never made a bad film. WB is always the villain of their own movies
I have seen that clip somewhere else before. Plus, I think the actor from Disney's A.N.T Farm (who's name I cannot remember) was in that film and was going to star in it. NO JOKE!!
Wow that Marvin the Martian film seemed really dope ! i would have loved for Marvin the Martian to get his own film. He’s underrated . WB wasted so many good characters.the problem is WB execs don’t have faith
Dude your setup is fantastic! Great lighting and framing of you and your workspace/set. Nice splash of colors everywhere and all the figurines are a nice touch - as well as your Toon Squad shirt. The only criticism I have, and it's a small one, is that your audio could be better. It's not bad - but it sounds like you're recording straight from your computer's microphone rather than using an actual mic to get that crisp, clear sound. But I sincerely like the effort you put into this video and your set - Im very impressed with the look you're going for. If it means anything, I'm a film school graduate with an emphasis on cinematography so again, your composition and lighting is really impressive and well done - it definitely stands out from the rest. Well done, man!
Bro the Looney Tunes could of been soo mainstream within so many different generations! I truly think Skate Jam would have been successful! I feel like Warner Bros. Doesn’t give the Tunes justice anymore!
6:38 Jeff Gordon was NASCAR in the 90s and early 2000s him and dale Earnhardt Sr brought NASCAR to the main stream. He won 4 championships in 8 years won nearly 60 races in that time I am not surprised they wanted to do that
Great video! Love the channel! Great to see someone who loves Space Jam as much as me! haha Where did you find your original Tune Squad jersey by the way?
Since WB has already done crossovers with WWE, I'd definitely would like to see a WWE Space Jam movie starring either Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, or the Miz or even a female superstar.
Thanks for posting. Very cool. I remember reading in a magazine after Space Jam came out that they were already planning a sequel involving "hunters after the Looney Tunes". I will never forget that because I was obsessed with Looney Tunes and Space Jam. It makes very little sense, but that's what the magazine said. I think it was that old Disney magazine that looked like a TV Guide. I remember always wanting a sequel so bad and now all these years later one is finally coming out. Crazy!
Honestly I am a bit sick of the High School trope in movies but I could see this working well. Then when you said about Keanu Reeves I was completely sold.

When you mentioned this video coming in the deadpool video I got so hyped. Hell yeah chris, keep up the good work!!
I can't believe these WB executives were told by Tony Hawk that he was 100% down for a Skate Jam film and they just ghosted him.
Like I already said 2 days ago, you can't win them all in Hollywood.
Golf Jam actually became a Robot Chicken sketch, only instead of Looney Tunes characters, it involved characters from Dic (the company that made Inspector Gadget and the original Sonic cartoons)
Link please?
That's what I said; when I first saw that sketch, I thought it was just a joke, but I never realized it was based on a true story.
It would have been awesome if Warner Brothers green-lighted the Looney Tunes cinematic universe with all these cancelled projected. They actually should’ve thought of Hockey Jam, Football Jam or perhaps the Multiverse Jam.
I can’t wait for Space Jam: A New Legacy!!
3c films.can you do a breakdown of the ending for space jam 2! Because I’m sure that the being will hint us at a sequel for back in action!
@@nessa0492 Nah
Wasn't there also another cancelled space jam, well not really cancelled I should say. The current Space Jam sequel was originally going to star Blake Griffin, however that changed to Lebron, the original pitch for the current sequel
If this movie was made years ago i doubt it would have had all these cameos and references
They never thought in the 2000s to use Shaquille O'Neal for the sequel, also Ben Stein can be funny as a teacher figure.
Blake Griffin will be in my upcoming Looney Tunes movie THAT IS NOT SPACE JAM RELATED.
I was waiting for this ever since you posted the last video and mentioned it!!
To be honest I would probably pick just about any one of those over the one we're about to get with LeBron James 😂😂
@@3CFilms i would watch them a million times lol
For real, it's a movie I will not watch
I disagree. A live action hybrid marvin the martian movie seems like trash
@@imveritasproductions there’s footage online of it
@@imveritasproductions but mike Myers was going to do it and we know that mike Myers has done alot of successful hilarious movies before like shrek and Austin powers movies.
I DEFINITELY would've watched Skate Jam, I'd love to see Taz and Marvin shred the rails
3:40, The idea for Spy Jam did get used for Looney Tunes Back in Action.
I guess not all the ideas went to waste.
Varsity bugs would of been so funny!
Sadly I think it might be too late to do something like that but I wouldn’t be opposed !
Great vid as always Chris !
Besides the Marvin movie there was also supposed to be a Pepe le pew movie and there are speedy Gonzalez and wile e coyote movies in development rn
Also the “varsity bugs” looney tunes plot sounds a lot like Space jam a new legacy because in both the toons might’ve got deleted
Love this video! Honestly, I enjoy all the content you make but this is special to you and it shows! Makes it all the more enjoyable!
I like Spy Jam starring Jackie Chan and Looney Tunes characters with a surprise cameo of Chris Tucker, a co-star of Rush Hour series. Sadly, it didn't get work on it.
It can work however with US studios scrambling for all that sweet sweet yuan
I would watch Varsity Bugs it sounds so funny to have a high school comedy with Looney Tunes #ReleasetheVarsitycut
I feel like now they’ll probably make a esports jam with ninja or something like that. But tbh Imagine race jam, wacky races meets looney tunes.
Esports could be fun!
ESpaceJam
After seeing a new legacy that may not work considering the video game themed in the space jam sequel
I absolutely hope Varsity Bugs gets made one day. I literally laughed for that entire segment. Pure genius ESPECIALLY now with Keanu Reeves being so beloved
Same
I’m extremely hype to see Space Jam a New Legacy!
we almost got The JCU
SpacJam Cinematic Universe
hoping this new one can kick off the SJCU 2.0
Love space jam 1. It was and still is one of my fav movies
Im sure in a Parallel Universe, my alternative self is watching this video talking about a bunch of cancelled Fast and Furious films because in that universe the Space Jam Cinematic Universe exists
Which would be a much better world.
if this does well then we will finally have an animated cinematic universe
Now that would be interesting.
A Space Jam Cinematic Universe (SJCU).
It can be 100% possible.
We already have the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), The Arrowverse, the DC Entertainment Cinematic Universe (DCECU) and the Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe (HBCU) thanks to SCOOB! that came on Amazon 2020 and then got a Theatrical release in 2021.
You gotta be kidding.
These are literally my ideas I had in elementary school after space jam first came out.
They should've done Slam Jam. With The Rock in a Survivor Series traditional tag match.
There'll be a 3rd film about that
Imagine if they made a movie with Lionel Messi as the star, that would be a global success, call it Foot Jam
Looney Tunes back in action is a Joe Dante film and Joe Dante’s worst film is the howling which people argue is better than an American werewolf in London so ergo joe Dante has never made a bad film. WB is always the villain of their own movies
You're so wrong WB is not the villain of films I'm actually a fan of it so don't talk to it like that
@@ScratchToonsNetwork-Powerful yeah your right and you know who the real villains Is Disney, Disney is the real villain of their own Movies and shows.
I think we should protest for that damn my childhood could have been even better😢
Imagine a What if The tune squad met Tony hawk etc...
These movies sound great! I really wish they would have made the Marvin the Martian movie!!!
Bro my boys and girls club got invited to see the pre-showing of space jam yesterday it was amazing
After Sponge on the Run, I don’t think anyone would’ve gotten a kick out of Keanu being in Varsity Bugs.
Varsity Bugs and Skate Jam sounded like EXCELLENT films. I would’ve paid to see them in a heartbeat.
6:38 Jeff Gordon was NASCAR in the 90s and early 2000s him and dale Earnhardt Sr brought NASCAR to the main stream. He won 4 championships in 8 years won nearly 60 races in that time I am not surprised they wanted to do that
Good to know! Thank you for the info!
@@3CFilms no problem great vid
2:16. Marvin is the Grinch
Damn, I wish they never got cancelled :/
But enough about Pepe, LOL.
@@JMFabiano Dude, I didn't even mentioned him...
I agree 😔
@@JMFabiano .
As a die hard looney tune film I'd totally would've been down if any of these films happened.
They just gotta make another equivalent of Back in Action
Great video and love it when you do all this research work. Varsity movie has to happen! Bring on the campaign!!!!!
"Spy Jam" would've been awesome if it were ever made! Sucks that we don't get to see Jackie Chan & the Looney Tunes interacting! 😞
Same here
This one bout to do numbers. Great video!
The Looney Tunes going to high school sounds pretty good! 👍
Boy: That’s it, I’m pulling ya batteries. 😡
Martin: *THOSE ARENT GODDAMN BATTERIES, YOU F@¢K¡NG EARTHLING!*
The tunes have tried to get a Cinematic universe for years and every attempt failed how tragic
Yay great video man
I would really like to see that Marvin the Martian movie I know it would have been nuts" 😂 maybe some of these will get made in the future
I'm glad your blowing up Chris been here since 60K sub I'm sure you'll hit 500k soon
Can’t wait for Space Jam a New Legacy and see nightmare buff Don Cheadle
Great video! Love the channel! Great to see someone who loves Space Jam as much as me! haha Where did you find your original Tune Squad jersey by the way?
Since WB has already done crossovers with WWE, I'd definitely would like to see a WWE Space Jam movie starring either Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, or the Miz or even a female superstar.
Slam Jam?
I wish this did became its own Cinematic Universe.
If they do, it should be called "Space Jam Cinematic Universe" (SJCU).
Spy Jam & Skate Jam woulda been good. Especially in the 90s & early 2000s. That’s when hawk & chan were in their prime careers
Crazy!
They said Golf Jam wasn't gonna happen, then Robot Chicken did it. XD
I love the walls behind you bro, nice collection! 👍🏻
Imagine a hockey jam with Wayne gretzky. That would've been crazy
That would've been DOPE, if put in the right hands. Imagine bugs trying to do the lacrosse goal
knowing that by STRONG technicality back in action is a space jam sequel puts a big smile on my face
Can you talk about the original planned Sonic the Hedgehog film please 3C Films?
3:27, Would've been funnier if he said "Those are my SPACEBALLS!!"
It would be cool if they made spin off shows
Honestly I am a bit sick of the High School trope in movies but I could see this working well. Then when you said about Keanu Reeves I was completely sold.
Screw Metroid Dread, I want Varisty Bugs!! 🤣
Varsity bugs would definitely work today. Its too much of a meme not to
