Awesome sound and killer guitar playing! Can't figure how you manage to build such great gear and maintain that guitar mastery at the same time! What an inspiration!
I've seen hundreds of gear videos here on youtube. But this is definitely the smoothest, warmest tube overdrive pedal. And the player Simon Jarrett is an extraordinary player. I am very surprised.
So very nice to hear a superb player use an overdrive effectively. No palm muted one finger chord chugging. Thank you, sir. What you demonstrate here is the way so many players play, or aspire to play, with exactly this sweet voice. I'm making my Kingsley list now. Thank you again. I've searched long & hard for products such as yours. You have proven it was worth the wait. J. T.
Nobody can touch simon's melodic playing and kick butt tone on the internet. He's a very under-rated player that certainly can keep up with the big boys. Just some nasty licks. I have talked to him on many occasions. Have some pedals come mint from him. He genuine, brilliant and most of all humble. It doesn't get any better a human being. AND......he just rips it up on guitar. An undiscovered master. He will tell you that is pushing it but he's all of that and several bags of gold......fantastic player......engineering genius of our time. You're the man Simon.... Glenn
Hi folks: This is Al Smith (Blacksmith), I've spoken to Simon several times... I'm proud to say im in line for a Harlot. IMHO...He makes some of the finest sounding pedals PERIOD! Also, he is one great soul... His playing speaks for itself... Very...Very...VERY tasteful.
That has to be one of the nicest strats I've ever heard. Your pedals make all the expensive solid state ones I own or have tried in the past sound like toys.
Grabbing a Harlot tomorrow to pair with my Page. Hands down, you make the best drive and boost pedals. At least, to my ears. 😁 And your playing is amazing!!! Hope to own one of your amps one day.
That is the entire point of all his pedals for the most part, they are designed to be less distorted when picking lightly, but all that gain is on tap, dig in and boom, its overdriven, adjust the volume on your guitar to reduce the break up or increase it based on total input volume, and use a class a boost in front and you will really overdrive them. Kingsley pedals and pre-amps are killer. Hand made, hand wired, these are true boutique pedals.
Thanks jmorrero...I use D'Addario 10's set for a pretty typical medium action - never actually measured anything to be honest. It's an old guitar so the neck has the vintage style radius, although it was re-fretted and dressed etc, so it's probably now a bit flatter radius than a lot of old Strats.
M@N let me tell ya !! you're one of the best player i've ever heard !!!!! there is a bunch of dudes out there who R able to shred like hell 4 hours ...but your licks R so tasty, so deep, so expressive N with so much soul...
Hi Simon, I should be coming up on the list in the next couple of months. I told Christine I wanted to order a Page last year but now I'm thinking maybe a Harlot. If you were to only have one which would it be? Can you get the Harlot to do what the Page does by dialing back the gain or are they more different than just the amount of gain available?
Hi Kurt, the Harlot with gain dialled back is quite similar to the Page...however, the Page still may have the edge for very mild edge sounds - but if you only had one (the Harlot) you'd probably never know, plus it is much more versatile...
@@PPIMV Thanks for the reply Simon! You make them both sound incredible with your playing but you could make anything sound great! I think I will go for the Harlot for the versatility and I can always jump back on the list for a Page. Happy New Year!
@@PPIMV Simon, one last question I promise. Can you get the Page into Harlot territory by hitting the front of it with a clean boost or an OD pedal with the gain turned down?
@@Kurt9099 Yes, but the boost wants to cut the low end a touch, to avoid pushing too much bass through the OD stages. For mild/medium OD a full range boost works well though. For the heavier sounds of Harlot mode 3 the boost needs to cut lows and/or emphasize mids.
Stop making pedals and come to the U.S. and please God do a live tour! The tones obviously outrageous, but you sound as good or better than my most favorite guitarists.

So kind Glenn...but too much, much too much! (check's in the mail....)
PPIMV it’s all true from my experience too.

Best sounding strat, player and pedal I've heard in ages - so inspirational.

Hands down Simon is the best in all respect!
Some of the best, smoothest overdrives I've heard, played by a superb player. You just earned yourself a new customer.

Thanks Ryan - very kind of you!
This pedal sounds amazing, but my guess is that anything that Simon plays will sound amazing. But that didn't stop me from just ordering a Harlot. ;o)
loved everything about this vid, playing and tone.
Beautiful expressive style. So refreshing!
I tried it recently from a friend page and bard ... wonderful!
Congratulations for the excellent products!
Everything Simon makes it extraordinary.
Love love my Harlot. My… but that amp, guitar and you Simon… fantastic 💜🙏🏻
I think you really nailed it with this one Simon! This pedal is indispensable for me. Great playing as well.
Thanks Abram!
Have you compared to a Jester?
Simon seems to be able to easily alternate between a very light and a very hard pick attack. This adds to the dynamics of the pedals he demos.

This sounds too good to be real, I can't stop listening to it!!! HOLY FUCKING SHIT, even the high gain is sick!
That is some tasty playing and great sounding pedal!
Great pedal! I have a V2 with the three position tone switch. Really touch sensitive and just fun to play.
The Sounds Man! The Sounds!
hot damn that amp sounds so good on its own
mode 3 is a real winner. roll off the volume for a little cleaner when needed. Simon can fucking play guitar. A real players player.
Killer playing.. wow, I didnt realize HOW good of a player you are! GAS-n for a Harlot now..
Thanks Blues Harp!
Can't wait to recieve my Harlot and Page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Simon - inspiring as always - simply gorgeous! I feel my wallet clawing at my pocket again.
I'd like a kingsley amp with a page and harlot. And that me for life
Awesome playing great Sounding Pedal and amp
superb as always!proud minstrel user :D
I love the playing, tone and feel. How do you setup your stratocaster Sir? Relief, string height? how do you set your string radius?

Superb!
Just discorvered your brand....Mind blowing playing and dynamic sounds!!!May I ask what string gauge you use on your strat? Thx
Thanks freemustang 01! I use 10 through 46 - typical light gauge - mostly D'addario.
Hello Simon, May i ask if you don't mind which is better between the Harlot v1 vs the Harlot v3? Thank you! Cheers from the Philippines. 🇵🇭❤
There is no better...the V1 is simpler, while the V3 has more control and is more versatile. In any case we don't make the V1 any more.
@@PPIMV Awesome Simon! Thank you very much for the reply. Regards and take care. 🙏
Love it!
Which Version Harlot is this?
This is the original V1

What are the details on that Red Strat?
Hi Jason - its a '64 refin, original neck and bridge pickups.

Ok, well he's just an average player with a great tone! How's that? Only kidding.
Cheers!
Much better!
