    Man, your playing, the harmony … fantastic; and although the Juggler is my favorite, the others are also beautiful. Your sounds are so organic, so visceral. You, sir, got Magic Hands.

    Simon: Your pedals were recommended to me yesterday by a Sweetwater sales engineer (and they don't even sell your products). I'm still watching all the demos; there's much to assimilate here. I'm a guitarist, audio engineer & producer, so I really appreciate all the tech talk, and there's probably a Constable in my future. But I have to say that the real bonus in the demos is your playing. Absolutely superb job! 😎

    Such an astoundingly talented player. Have you ever considered doing a video on why you still make all the pedals yourself? Rather than pairing with boutique amps distribution or something for manufacturing the pedals? More sales and no waitlist

      Scaling the manufacturing would require significant compromise on process. Suggest checking out psionic audios repair/review video for a breakdown on the quality from a knowledgeable source. Also, probably not enough profit margin to make it worthwhile for traditional manufacturing/distribution/retail models… otherwise someone would have tried knocking them off.

    The seemingly effortless emotion in your playing brings me joy like no other guitarist on youtube. If that wasn't enough, you're also a genius pedal builder, and maybe the humblest person in the entire guitar community. You Sir, are a pleasure to watch. These videos must feel tedious to someone with such a high IQ, so thank you for sharing your talents, and please make more!

    That hatchet sounds great. My dream kingsley pedal would be a Bard and a Squire with the ability to crunch it up a bit (either a Page kinda thing or a solid state stage the could drive the squire or clip itself). You could call it a Kingsley Court. Basically an all-in-one solution (minus the cab sim and reverb...) for a clean/edge-of-breakup amp replacement for us bedroom headphone warriors.

    Simon’s pedals are surely among the very best pedals/pre-amps in the world. And that’s before we get to his playing, which is sublime. I have a Maiden D and a Page DS…is that more or less the Juggler minus a bit of control? Having the convenience of one box would be seriously helpful though….But as an aside to anyone interested….if you’re able to get one, you need even the basic Page on your board, it’s a thing of utter loveliness.

    I am beyond impressed by the quality of what i'm hearing, both the pedals and the performance skills. Really intrigued by what I think the Eunuch pedal is doing. Seems that particular effect would be well-suited for a fretless bass guitar (in my mind, anyway). Any chance we might get to hear that combo at some point? Thanks large for doing good things on all levels. Peace!

    Great vid Simon. Amazing tones and of course, fantastic playing. That Constable sounds great. I did notice its power requirements of 12v 500mA with center *positive*. I believe the low-end Cioks 4 can handle that power (the Cioks 7 certainly can), but do I need a special adapter for the center *positive* cable? All my other pedals are center *negative*.

    • @PPIMV
      @PPIMV  2 года назад +4

      Hi Frank - Cioks sell a center positive cable (the one with red ends) - that's all you need. Either the DC7 or the 4 can power the Constable.

    Simon I am in love with your playing. I want to train with you! Which of your pedals would work very well with P90s in your opinion. Would the Harlot or should I think more about the Constable?

    • @PPIMV
      @PPIMV  2 года назад

      The Constable is more of a low gain Marshall preamp (just like a real late '60s Super Lead preamp is)...the Harlot is more an all around OD with a good gain range and a generally somewhat aggressive voice. For front of amp tones it is more versatile. Hard to beat the Constable as a real preamp into a power amp though, so it depends on your setup and needs...Thanks for the kind words!

    • @PPIMV
      @PPIMV  2 года назад

      Yes that is a good application...you will still miss what the actual power tubes, output transformer and power supply bring to any particular amp. However, it is a good upgrade over preamp straight into cab sim.

    Can you use the Hatchet in front of an amp?

    • @brianproffitt8759
      @brianproffitt8759 2 года назад

      Absolutely, which makes it a perfect option for using with preamp pedals when you don't have an amp with an effects loop. The Hatchet was clearly an inspired design :-)

    • @PPIMV
      @PPIMV  2 года назад

      Yes, as Brian says (he has the first one!) you can indeed use it front of amp. It's only needed if you have one of our preamps though - it is not a general tool that would work well with most overdrive pedals. I'll do another video soon where I go into more detail on the Hatchet.

  • @frankgreco
    @frankgreco 2 года назад

    I don't see a price for the Mason or Hatchet on the website. But I'm guessing the ballpark price for the Mason+Constable+Hatchet is approx $1200 USD. The price of a good power amp is prob $500 USD. The price of one of your cabs is about $700. That's a total of $2400. Are these lovely components in your amps? If so, then it seems that buying one of your amps would be the better economic choice. Or am I missing something?

    • @PPIMV
      @PPIMV  2 года назад +1

      The Mason and Hatchet are custom builds right now and you can read about the Mason here: kingsleyamplifiers.com/products/pedals/75/ Will put something up about the Hatchet soon...The separate parts of the amps (preamps, phase splitter) built in pedals are just a different approach to the traditional guitar amp approach...choose your preamps and switch between them into a power amp for an alternative way to get nice tones. Also I'm not building amps and cabs right now, as I'm too busy with the pedals.
