I’m 14 and just got back from The Gambia, did some proper travelling into inland Gambia . But my point is wherever we were in The Gambia they are honestly the NICEST people you will ever meet. They don’t have a lot but their so happy. 100% worth a visit!!
He'll Brena, My name is Charleen, and I am African American and will be going to Gambia in May. I would like to meet you when I get there if it is possible to know another American. Please let me know how I can get in touch with you.
I was expecting Gambia- a small African country-to be like my motherland, Zanzibar, which I left in 1960. I have not been impressed by what I see in this video. Gambian Tourism Board should visit Zanzibar and learn a lot about attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists, as Zanzibar has done.
I'm from Vietnam. I admire Gambia that its government via Justice Minister has filed a lawsuit against Myanmar to ICJ over Rohyngya genocide claims. Small but brave. Human rights, justice shall be the most important privilege.
@@anhvu6437 thanks so much. I am sorry for what you people have gone through and i hope you will have a good life. My husband thanks you for your support toward his country 😍
Am originally from Gambia living in London...this video make me miss home so much thank you for sharing ..Am glad you guys have a lovely time...Gambian people are one of the nicest people on earth
Gambian people are. My mom was a volunteer in Gambia and she fell in love with the people and her religion. Probably the reason she married my father😂. The last time I went was 10 years ago. Hope They Haven't Become Too Much Like The West.
@@fatima-ev5zb oooh that is so lovely to hear! I married a gambian man too. We have a child together. I was attracted to him for the same reasons like your mother. The kindness, the culture, the love. Our child is a boy but i hope he grows up to be as beautiful as you darling 😘😘
Don't loose hope, brother, very soon allah will allow you to visit your country again. My husband comes from gambia and he finally got a stay permit to stay forever. Now we are planning to go to gambia next year on holiday. Don't worry, nothing is impossible. I will pray for you.
Amazing african culture :) I know Botswana, I really loved how people really took care of eachother, money was not an issue, everybody helped everybody. SO different from Europe.
people are so nice and the place is so different compare to the world which makes it so great and am proud to know that there is another feeling to life other than what am use to.i hope to visit more places ..They got some of the nicest people on earth..Great Gambia .May god bless! Can´t wait to go meet the family. My father left The Gambia for Sweden 40 years ago but he took us children back since we was young. 8.41 swedish national team shirt haha.Lots of gambian people living in Sweden. Long live The Gambia
Amazing video! The Gambia is an incredible country. I am so happy I visited a few weeks ago. I was blown away by how friendly everyone was and how beautiful the country was. Thanks for sharing your experience :)
I really appreciate this short movie about The Gambia … it's been a long time ago since I was there … and it's a really nice mix tape about the people, the landscape and the music … everyone in Gambia is a musician, some play Instruments, some sing, some dance and most do it all at once. Such friendly people along the river, they shared everything with me (accommodation, food, water, candles …), they inspired me and I will never forget all those long nights on Janjanbureh Island! Thanks for this video and the feelings of awesome memories.
Also if your going to go trust the locals , we met a man on the beach and he took us all around The Gambia for 3 days. All he asked for was a bag of rice for his family and children at home but we of course gave him a lot more!!
Really enjoyed your intro into Gambia. They have a new prime minister very recently does anyone know how this power change is affecting Gambia? I did a big tour of morocco and visited the Canaries this year, it feels Gambia is the natural place to visit next. Many thanks.
Great video as it sums up Gambia beautifully. You were right, one week is not enough. For our first visit last year, we only went for a week, but after a fortnight back home, we missed it that much we flew back again. Not the cheapest way to travel! We visited all these places and more, with a great local lad, Jobe, as a guide. Fortunately he warned us off of the Senegal trip but sure didn't miss out Coconut Island's lovely people and hospitality. Crossing the Gambia by a pirogue boat is great fun, especially for our 300lb friend trying to get off via a wee boat lads shoulders, whose knees just buckled, dumping the him laughing in four feet of water. The Banjul Ferry is also an experience not to be missed, Hope to get back there soon. p.s. We are 70 and 63 years young.
