Last 5 minutes is the real vietcong experience, except there are traps everywhere and the entrances are almost impossible to find with vietcong ambushing you hidden and playing the war of attrition with you.
Such an incredible CoD campaign. Loved how they tied historic events and locations into the plot to create historical fiction, and take you from Cold War hotspot to hotspot. Always felt fresh, never stagnant. The characters were iconic. Also never noticed as a kid Kravchenko’s field reports on the NOVA6 gas, characterizes him as even more evil. Treyarch did such a good job at instilling a creepy and brutal atmosphere in their games.
The reality was that Mason was just talking to himself in that tunnel. Reznov wasn’t actually there. Every line Reznov said was actually spoken by him…
There are sometimes character models for the Viet Cong exclusive to certain scenes, such as the sleeping Viet Cong guards in "Victor Charlie", whose models never appear in normal fighting throughout the campaign.
The anarcranisms and conspiracies of the original black ops were sorely missed in the later installments. Sad the ending confrontion was a little cliche, but everything including the multiplayer maps kept the cold war conspiracies theme going.

@@Casherr93 because all of that was alot less prevalent in the actual 80s. The 80s was known for conspiracies about coverups. The 60s was all about brainwashing. So it's thematically fitting that the game taking place in the 60s deals with brainwashing, and the one taking place in the 80s deals with the truth being hidden.

I remember once that the graphic settings was off for some time, I was wondering why blood wasn't anywhere to be seen then when I figured out it was in the settings, I turned it on. Then my eyes lit and finally had the black ops experience.

mario 64 was the original game with fish with ai but i remember playing on the wii and the fish would move away if you got too close. So I think that COD ghosts is a big lie when it comes to fish.
