Imagine the euphoria experienced by the average person for believing they won a million dollars on a scratch off ticket (it could be a joke ticket yet as long as they believe). Now imagine someone having the same sensations, but being convinced it's a paranormal contact for believing John 3:16.

The Dopamine Reward System over time bridges gaps in pathways in order to form habits in order to repeat behaviors, and or thoughts. The often cited testimony of getting off an addiction thanks to a God is just a placebo replacement due to the power of the mind (an AA participant I heard of chose to worship the radiator in his room instead of an higher power, and became sober).

There are entire websites dedicated to islam, sites where you can search out a topic using key words, and it will bring forth all relevant verses or haddiths. These are islamic sources so it cannot be said that these are lies spread to undermine islam.
Sadly, many leaders in the islamic community do lie to their followers, causing all manner of shock and disbelief when a muslim comes across information they've never heard or read before. Please do search the sources and find yourself enlightened enough to finally let go when the truth of islam and of muhammad are made clear. It is not at all what you have been led to believe.

The concept arose from superstitious misinterpretations of key verses in the new testament, for example a mention of someone called "the man of lawlessness," who was most likely just an enemy of the church in Thesalonica, and Paul's frequent use of the word "antichrist," which literally means "against Christ" and was most likely just Paul's way of saying "if you don't believe this then you're not really a Christian."

2 Thessalonians 2 talks about “the man of lawlessness”, but I don’t get any indication that this is just an enemy of the church of Thessalonica. It says that this man must make his appearance before the return of Jesus, and is a very similar to “the Beast” of Revelation

Ezekiel here refers to a future army that will invade Israel, coming from the North (as invaders usually did, in their experience), and fail in their invasion attempt. Gog and Magog is Hebrew, but the name isn't important to the story.

Let me tell you my story about this dazzal thing. As a muslim i knew about the dazzal story since my childhood. When i was about 12 years old i got an islamic book on dazzal where the writer tried his best to give a different perspective on the concept of dazzal. He argued that most of the signs of dazzal foretold by our prophet actually match with the modern western civilization. So dazzal is not a person but the whole modern culture which is baded on judeo-christian values. For example israel is an important player in western diplomacy and prophet told that dazzal would come from the jewish people or he said dazzal would travel the world in 90 minutes which the satelites can do now. And as a young believer i got amazed with this articulately written ideas. And i started believing in that. Later at the age of 18 i joined an islamist political party which works for establishing shariah based state laws. There i had a friend whom i told that pov about dazzal and he tried to convince me that its not possible because several hadiths actually indicate that dazzal is physically a person and he is chained in some island. Allegedly some arab sailors also saw him and they came back to tell the story to mohammed. After hearing the story mohammed confirmed that the chained man they saw was dazzal perhaps. Those were the days when i started reading more islamic literatires to get promoted to higher rank in the organisation and the more i read the more i got doubtful about islam. Joining that islamic movement indirectly help me get the real picture of islam and made the leaving easy for me.

In the latter it seems to refer to an unknown nation or group of people. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."

Upon them is a misfortune of evil nature; and Allah has become angry with them and has cursed them and prepared for them Hell, and evil it is as a destination."
