Cheers Rob, glad you enjoyed them both and I appreciate the compliment. 👌🏻 As for Stu, he had an issue with a set of wheels a few months ago and so wanted to cover all bases, so as not to have to abandon the ride if disaster struck again! Turns out that was the right plan. 😂
I do enjoy a solo ride from time to time, just clear my head but group rides are fun. Not sure if you’re UK based but if you are, I’d definitely recommend looking at the British Cycling website, as that has lists of cycling groups all over the country, so there’s bound to be one near you. If you’re outside the UK though, post in your local Facebook group, as I’m sure you’ll find at least a couple of likeminded cyclists who fancy a group ride. 👌🏻
Fantastic as always Mr Treadway, one small request perhaps an add on what was the overall cost per person, I take it you all chipped in on the van etc. If you can't be bothered no worries I was thinking it might help any other groups that would like to try your adventure. Good point, well made Richard. Didn’t even think about mentioning the cost but that would be helpful for others. It’s an easy task for me to give it too, as I had a very tightly kept spreadsheet of costs, which the guys liked to rib me about 😂 (in fact if you listen very carefully when Jez gives us the croissants, etc., you can actually hear Cliff jokingly say ‘put it on the spreadsheet!’ 😂) So with the overnight Ferry and cabin, one night’s hotel stay in Paris at the Novotel Eiffel Tower, the Eurostar back for the riders and Eurotunnel for the van, plus van hire and added EU van insurance cover, it worked out to £259 each. There were a few additional ‘en route’ costs, like the diesel for the van, etc, so all in price was probably around £300. I was quite happy with that, especially as we ended up staying in a pretty decent hotel, which only ended up costing £90 a night each for a triple room. 👌🏻

Brilliant ride, your Dieppe segment reminded me of the same problem I had on 3rd June, where Garmin took me to the closed footbridge, so I had the impromptu tour of Dieppt then googling to find Avenue Vert.
I feel your pain, Mike. The weird thing is, this is the third time I’ve done L2P and I know that little metal bridge and the route from there to the Avenue well… so this threw me slightly! 😂 As you say though, it was a nice tour of Dieppe in any case. 😉 Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. 👌🏻🌟

Great 2 part video as usual. Can I ask the logistics of getting back to the UK, as I believe the Eurostar isn't accepting bikes, did u load them all up into the van and travel as foot passengers
Hey Graeme, yeh, we put the bikes in the van, which Jez took back on the EuroTunnel and we got the Eurostar from Gare du Nord. As you say, the Eurostar are still refusing to take bikes unless they’re completely broken down and taken as luggage, which is frustrating!
What is it that you guys appear to have different brake downs wear ever you go . Fair play though you get it done and move on congratulations as always.
I just keep telling telling the fellas it’s good for the content. I think that excuse is starting to wear thin with them now though! 😂 Always have to keep loving forward though. 💪🏻
