Back to your old haunts. A soggy yard is no fun. I detected a bit of glee pulling out the corrugated pipe. Something you might watch on you tube, a channel, Dirt Perfect. This guy has installed thousands of feet of corrugated pipe for a farmer. He built a plow to install the pipe up to 4' below grade .
One thing I thought about on the floor leveling job a few weeks ago. The exterior wall still has some load on it and the joists are weakened by the rot. I would consider adding some treated blocking from the top of the concrete to the bottom of the sub floor, to help support it.

Lets talk about the Drone.....Getting race confident w the low angles, while getting it stuck in the tree is a faux pas... Cant get much better footage that that. Out here in Phoenix if you don't bury the PVC you need to paint it. Because the UV rays beat the hell out of it and within a year or two the pipe has turned a brown blackish color and is very brittle and doesn't take much to break it

Also out here in Phoenix since we live in the desert there's drip systems and sprinklers for irrigation type systems and everything each other half inch PVC or a 3/4-in PVC or for drip systems it's that black flex tube that you just pierced to poke little nipples into. So really you can have just a handful of parts and be able to fix any irrigation system in the valley, lol

@@GCFD I can’t believe that the burial depth of that gas line meets code. I am a Land Use Planner but work with Building inspectors and will ask them what the minimum depth is for gas service lines per at least the Kentucky codes (which are based on the International Building Code). Love your videos! Found you through the Essential Craftsman Podcast. Curious if you use any silicone or gasket like substance when you attach your round PVC junctions to the square down spouts to account for the voids in the attachment. Or maybe youre not too worried about debris getting in there because once it gets in you feel confident it will slip on through with the rest of the water?

Nice job being so careful around the utilities. Good there was a separate shut off for the sprinklers so you'd know if there was a leak. I imagine it would be harder to determine a leak if they were connected to the house water line.

How about this idea Shawn, doubling up on the downspout on that corner. Granted the gutters are limiting as well, but the restriction part is also the single downspout, put another hole in the gutter and run another downspout. I think when my gutters overflow the gutters themselves can handle the load but the small hole in the gutter restricts flow.

A question: I saw a video on another drainage channel where he showed a corrugated pipe with soothe inner wall. How does this type of pipe compare to schedule 40 PVC?

that was a big job on a big house. I think you did the best you could given the circumstances with the patio and back yard. did you consider a sump in the back yard with a pump discharging into the side yard pipe? then you could accomodate a french drain underground as well...what do you think? also, how about going under the front sidewalk to join the side pipe to the front downspouts? just curious to hear your reaction to those ideas as an expert. Thank you for all that you do and share!

How much do freezing temperatures influence your decision on where your pvc empties? I can imagine the walkway and driveway can get icy in winter! Love the videos!

We don't get freezing temps very often around here. The Arctic Blast is a rare exception right now Burrrrrr!

The first 3 minutes helps make a map of the corrugated pipe, which appears to circle the entire house. Which probably wouldn't be as big of a deal if it had fall. All that water from the roof trying to go down that single pipe with the T junctions doesn't help. I wonder if that corrugated pipe next to the driveway was cutoff.

Aren't there some kind of larger gutters (and larger downspouts) for situations like above that patio so it can channel more water with more spaced out downspouts?

Why can't you use painted pvc pipe mounted on the wall to go around the patio boxing? yeah it would look weird but it might start a new trend!

Does the rear gutters still over flow? Any way your gutter person could get larger gutters or send the downspout along the roof to the system?
