Hats off to Demi. I don't think you'd find many 31 week pregnant mothers out there doing a 4WD trip in remote country with a smile on there face. She's a tough chick - nice video once again Tyler.
Good one Tyler. When you finish this series, it'll be good to see on the map in chronological order which tracks you drove on and which camp sites you stayed. And to include your thoughts on the tracks, and camp sites (ie. if near a river/creek, the water quality, if any toilets etc). for the entire journey. It'll help a great deal. 👍
Mate your video content is always great to watch and the way you explain things so simplistically, Demi is a champ of a wife and your father is a man that loves the offroad life, again another video worth watching keep up the good work
When you were near Benambra you would have been 20 min drive from both Native Dog Flat & Limestone Creek campgrounds. Both of these are inhabited by quite a few brumbies. They are incredible to watch as they wonder around your campsite.
Welcome back to Victoria and thanks for sharing another great vid of this amazing place. I’ve also become one of many who have transitioned to throwing my swag onto a BA stretcher (might be an old or wise person thing) and wouldn’t go back to the ground unless there was no other choice. Easier to get into and out of the swag plus you can throw your chair and boots underneath overnight to keep them dry.
Hey mate! Love your content! Just love all the stuff that you do! Im always keen for when the next episode comes out! Keep up the good work brother! Would love to have a beer with you one day!
Mate, this is the best 4x4 vid I have ever seen out of Thousand + hrs of watching RUclips. (and your builds) That GU is a beast weapon! Your content and edits are moving into amazing work! (great music in that high country!) Great to see 3 totally different builds. Can't wait to do more in my RC Collie (4JJ1 Life!). Done some of the Glass House as I'm in Briz, and bout to do first K'gari trip on beach in April. AWESOME WORK!
I really enjoyed seeing your dad try the section of track in two cars. More of that kind of stuff in some future vids would be good & adds a different element. That’s footage you just don’t see anywhere else.
Your a legend mate doing the tough tracks with legend cars, hats off to Demi being pregnant and all great job, good to also see the rest of the crew champ 🏆 Keep up the great work
This video brings back memories of when I had the opportunity to traverse the High Country back in the 60's in a LWB Land-Rover Safari Wagon basic 4wd with no winches etc, got stuck a few times but had a ball for many years, Cheers Brian
Vic high country is just stunning. u can c Demi's confidence going each time she drives the Pat Beast. must say mate i bought my Bushmans 85L upright fridge because of ur review/use of the fridge. now i run 2 of them, one on each side. love them. gud to c Kai n Dad rollin again. EP2 time.
I have an 80 Series Landcruiser, but I'm loving seeing other makes and model vehicles in RUclips. Other than my 80, I've also been a long time fan of the GU. It's good to see another one in RUclips (other than TIm Bates), that's been left as a wagon and not chopped up and raise to the wahoo. 👍👌
Wow, awesome scenery, music, 4wdriving, editing... Such a beautiful place to visit, ahh the memories ( originally from Vic). Well done, look forward to the next installment. 👍
Ripper job again mate. This video is the exact route I am planning in a few weeks and base camp down at Tom Groggin for a bit. Where about on the Mitta River were you ?
Mate... mate...... the production quality is up another notch again. Not sure how you keep doing this but whatever you are doing is working. Will have to watch this again on Sunday so I dont have TT withdrawls till the next one.
great video! spectacular scenic drone footage with incredible views ! nice one ! river crossings were deep ! good showing the run down of all the camping setups.. did you adjust the dampening settings on the shocks of the Patrol at all ?
Great Video Tyler, I'm not a Vegetarian, but some of those meals you guys have been cooking up look delicious. Could you do some vegetarian cooking content?
Amazing views and awesome way to get Demi confidence up wheeling the troll alone. So love to check out those to mountains, esspecoally my namesake. Could both locations have a Camper towed up? Or to steep?
Hey Tyler, what sort of KM range can you get out of the 4.8 with the standard fuel tanks doing high country work? Have you managed to work out the fuel used for this trip?
1 line about the 2, seems to depend where you live. for example I was talking to TJ who lives in QLD and set his at around 5 to counteract the hotter weather up there
Actually, compared to Mt Kosiuszko NP the high country is pretty average. Much of the high country is all the same with little wildlife. The difference is that there plenty of 4x4ing and camping to suit everyone, where Kosiciusko is a locked down fortress, no 4x4ing, and just a major tourism centre for the city slicker.
Definitely solid axle country ! Would be good to see you chuck a rod in the river Every now and then mate, missing some great fishing opportunities. Great vid tho
Absolute stunning countryside Tyler, what happened to all the tree's mate, or is it just like that? It must be exciting to have Demi along in the new rig mate.... I love waking up on a Sunday morning and watching your adventures.
Cheers mate! Yeah always like that, I think because its so high? They get destroyed by snow and harsh mountain conditions etc? Thats just a bit of a guess though haha
I believe around 10 years ago they had some big fires while the trees were recovering/resprouting from the previous years fires and it killed them off. They'll come back but being above the snowline they'll take a while.
@@Bennyboy-dog I’ve sent Tyler a link but if you Google Black Saturday fires numerous articles come up on major devastation in the Vic High Country in 1939, 1983 & 2009 the latter 2 are the skeletal remains you can see today as it can take decades for dead but standing trees to break down.
Hey Tyler 👋 I have the previous canopy design you had from gworks on my Navara ( thanks for the inspiration, I love it) however even with a GVM upgrade I still struggle when camping to not go over. Have you weighed the Navara in its current setup? Plans for a GVM upgrade?
I have in the previous tray and canopy mate, it was 2820kg with kai and I in it, full tank of fuel and most of our gear, so fully loaded it would have been super close to the 2910kg. Haven't weighed the new set up
It brings a smile to my face seeing that you two want to bring your dad along. He’s a heck of a grumpy friendly character.
All GU owners are thanking Tyler and Demi for increasing the value of their Patrols. Great vid Tyler, looking forward to the next one.
haha, cheers mate!
It was better then buying an overpriced sh1theap Toyota haha.
Hats off to Demi. I don't think you'd find many 31 week pregnant mothers out there doing a 4WD trip in remote country with a smile on there face.
She's a tough chick - nice video once again Tyler.
yep! she loved it! cheers!
31 weeks pregnant, new to 4wding, & having a crack at wheeling in the high country. #Respect

Great idea. Yeah, your thoughts on the tracks you've driven on would be great. And rate the campsites you've stayed at. Cheers 👍
will keep that in mind, I usually do a trip plan over on my patreon of trips I do
Mate your video content is always great to watch and the way you explain things so simplistically, Demi is a champ of a wife and your father is a man that loves the offroad life, again another video worth watching keep up the good work
cheers mate!
Love it! The VHC trips are your best work I reckon. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve rewatched them 👍
Totally agree
Glad you like them!
Last Easter, we camped and 4wd'ed the high country via Mansfield, we understand your passion for the area and love your site.

Well done, great video yet again!
Time to plan another VHC trip I reckon 🤙🏼

3 generations out on the tracks! Love seeing the patrol dominate :P
Mate, absolutely awesome video. I've been about 5 times to VHC, but after watching this, i've booked a trip in for April. Great content, keep it up.
Love the bloopers at the end of the vids shows how real you guys are great content !

Hi Tyler, very nice video. You are taking it to the next level. Also very nice setup with those 3 vehicles. Keep going!

More to come!
Fantastic family trip. Enjoyed watching the tracks that each vehicle took. The camp sites totally awesome. Well done 👍🏼😎
Love that area ! Last time we camped in exactly same spot on Mt Pinabar , we almost got blown off the hill ! It got that windy over night !
It does get pretty windy! views are incredible tho!
Awesome episode Buddy, really enjoyed it. Your Misses did great! Can't wait for the next installment.
We just spent some time in the NSW high country, such incredible parts of Australia. Awesome video Tyler, youre great to watch!

Looks amazing, great work on displaying such landscape and the trip. Always great to see how you should enjoy these trips as a family
Glad you enjoyed it
Less than a minute into the video I see why you love what you’re about to share.

the fire damage is devastating

Bugger you Tyler , I just got home from three weeks in the VHC and now after watching this I want to go back .

Loved the video Tyler. Just be careful, use of drones is now illegal in the VHC.
Awesome!!! This content of video is one of my favourite now. NICE VIDEO MATE. Hopefully i have a chance to join you guys cheers stay safe .
Looks amazing 👌😎
Demi is looking like a pro with her driving. A great viewing of high country
cheers!
I presume all the dead tree skeletons are from previous bushfires up there .
Yes
Excellent video mate. Thanks for bringing us such great content. 👍🍺🇦🇺❤️
glad you liked it!
Love it mate.
Thanks 👍
great video! spectacular scenic drone footage with incredible views ! nice one ! river crossings were deep ! good showing the run down of all the camping setups.. did you adjust the dampening settings on the shocks of the Patrol at all ?
Thanks mate! Yep set them at 1, softest setting
"there it is boys, rooftop tent"
I feel like there was more to that
awesome video and them views are on point.
You make awesome videos
Glad you like them!
I see a patrol as your dads next car. great video.
lol. That's low at Tom Groggin. "Up" is over the bonnet. It's drowned many cars over the years including mine.
Absolutely beautiful video - but, as a matter of interest, why no spare wheel on the Patrol?
Tyler would really be interested in coming over from WA and doing a couple of weeks in the high country with you
Awesome video. When are you going to give Drifta the flick?
thanks mate!
Great Video Tyler, I'm not a Vegetarian, but some of those meals you guys have been cooking up look delicious. Could you do some vegetarian cooking content?
Thanks mate, will try give it a go haha
Kia Ora
Another great video just wondering what brand of swag your son was using cheers Pete
Great one this time too..👍
Thanks ✌️
Amazing views and awesome way to get Demi confidence up wheeling the troll alone. So love to check out those to mountains, esspecoally my namesake. Could both locations have a Camper towed up? Or to steep?
Thanks mate! You could but would get interesting in the steep bits, id want a very well set up 4wd, twin lockers, 35s etc
Makes me want to drive from Brisbane for a two week get away. 😁
Love it!
Good to see the touring vid series again. Although Kai’s review of the swag was memorable, I wasn’t sold on it. 😆 Try again mate. 👍🏻🙏🏽🦘
haha, I'll let him know he needs to up his game ;)
Hey Tyler, what sort of KM range can you get out of the 4.8 with the standard fuel tanks doing high country work? Have you managed to work out the fuel used for this trip?
What do you set your Bushman Fridge at? I find 4 is a good temperature but it freezes everything on the top shelf haha.

What a great trip. One question, all the dead trees, any ideas why?
Bushfire damage
