When it looks steep in the video you know it's proper steep! 🤟
The experts always come out but haven’t done the same track. Tyler and MalaKAI made it! If you have the equipment you use it. On that note, it was lucky you had some help. Viewers should heed Tyler’s words. They were NOT prepared for the wind chill weather in that terrain. That said, the footage was priceless even though Kai expressed some displeasure. Lol. Great images taken by him too. Well done to both of you to endure those conditions for our viewing pleasure. Much better than those beer guzzling other guys! Cheers. 👍🏻🙏🏽🙏🏽😷😷🦘🦘
Many years ago we camped at the base of the Barkley River Jeep track (I think it was snowing as well), but the track was way overgrown, so much so that even a Suzuki would have received some serious bush pinstripes. Unfortunately we didn't do the track as we had to leave and were also taking home a couple of very weary bushwalkers who had given up their mission.
This is where a front locker would really help. Steve 🇦🇺
Agreed!
Yup
And a bit less tyre pressure
15PSI was tyre pressure, any lower on a track like this without bead locks and getting fairly risky of tearing tyres off beads
@@trickster8635 had one in mine for 14 years, still has the 23yo factory cv’s....not the locker, its the driver
Love all the out takes, it just adds to your honesty and transparency.
Round of applause for those front cv’s
Paying The Price ......... hard yards on vehicles & people. The decisions to take Tracks we always initially regret but the same ones we always have great memories of. Great stuff Tyler!
Just finished watching every single video in your channel. Took me few weeks.... very impressive work! It’s motivated me to go out more often with my son. Awesome memories for Kai👍
Epic series mate, thank you for the effort and great content! Looking forward to the next instalment 🤙
Thanks so much Tyler. Have been waiting to see this episode. A gutsy hard track. Well driven and filmed! Great work, mate.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video and I have a new appreciation of what you do now after watching the behind the scenes video. So much hard work, keep it up
Man you got to get yourself a front locker, so many times you had one front spinning & if the other had drive could have avoided a winch or two.
Love the vids man
I was thinking the same thing!
Enjoyed your video again. Times like that is where I love my front locker.
Loved this series. 8 days out there at this time of year is no joke!
Love this series, you keep sending it, I’ll keep watching it.
Thanks!
Another great vid mate! Tough track! Love waking up Sunday mornings and watching your latest instalments👌🏾

Now do Mount Sunday Track (It’s just as hard but longer!!!)😂🙌🏻
Very committed tracks at the Start of the video. Great work
Nice series mate. Good job
I am glad I've chosen the Navara ... you make me proud to own one! You have proven how Navara is very capable off road car/ute!
Love the fact youre doin this yourself with the help of your family. Some quality content! Being a queenslander i would love to see more localish brisbane spots but still good to watch! Awesome to see you recognising and trying to better your speech, can definitely see progress its really good to see.. definitely nothing to be ashamed of no matter what people say. Good job all round mate keep it up 👌

Awesome series as always mate. Cheers Steve
Thanks 👍
Great series Tyler. Enjoyed every one of them. Got my two TT rubbish bags recently. Still watching the merchandise page for caps. I'll have a couple of those when they come out too.
The Nissan really performs well. I'm surprised that you didn't break something on that track. Can't wait to hear Dads comments after his first trip with the rear locker in the MUX
Cheers.
Thanks mate! Appreciate it
Uuummm, wow!! Holy moly mate, no fear ay!
Nissan Navara for sale, Going cheap and Never been off road!!!! Lmao..... Great video again mate.
Somehow I don't think he will ever sell that one
Great vid mate.
Awesome video Tyler. Very brave to do the Jeep track on your own!
Thanks! 👍
Great vid Tyler. Man you really beat on your Nissan, love it!!!
Thanks 👍
The track looks extreme, and amazing. Good work! I was sure you were going to snap a CV!
Thanks mate
Another top quality video. Geez it makes me & my young son happy when we realise a new video of your High Country series has been posted. At some stage you should do a 20min or so video on your magnificent beard... Or whiskers as my son refers to it.
Cheers mate!
Hey Tyler, I'm a recent sub... Been going over your previous videos. I have been to the Victorian High country several times and it's just a magical place, the scenery, the history...then the tracks. Watching your vid brings back the memories of my trips... Can't wait to get back there again. Great filming keep up the awesome work mate. Mmm maybe it's time for a front locker ? Cheers.
Thanks mate! Appreciate it!
Wow insanely steep switchbacks! hope you didn't hurt the Nav too much mate, great video and sensational camera work and scenery!
Great vids mate keep up the good work
Thanks mate!
Great series bro, certainly get all u can out of your 4wd, 👍👍👍 would of been interesting if your winch broke down during that tough hill climb
Great stuff mate. Dont think ill be attempting BRJ track without a front locker. Cant wait for the next one. Great to see you hit up Jamieson too, my high country getaway!
Thanks mate!
Another great installment for your channel mate. It’s been a while since you have had to pull the winch out that much.
Thanks mate, yep for sure!
That track looked insane, good work doing it solo👍🇦🇺👍 we are heading up there in December
Cheers mate
I don't know if anyone else saw that, but at about 4.18 there was a log stuck under Tyler's truck which moved itself, mental
Awesome video! Well done to Malakai for all his hard work 👍🏽
Hope dad has you on the books and gives you some pocket money 💰
Well done to both of you, series was great 👍🏽
Cheers mate, appreciate it!
That’s why you have a winch!! - also Aldi has a 12v heated blanket on sale tomorrow - :)
Watching you take on that track made me so anxious 😬
Good effort! Braver than me!
😁
It’s been a great Victorian High Country series 👍. I think you should start saving your pennies for a front locker .
Great music.
Man this guy just makes me hate to be a mall crawler!!! Shout-out from all the way in Trinidad man!
Champion effort....👌
Epic footage!! Can’t believe the tie rod didn’t bend at 13:21 &13:22
Such great content, I let the ads play through so I can see more. I just came back from Licola and the Avon wilderness. Nothing as hard as this but a beautiful part of the High Country nevertheless.
Cheers mate, amazing place out there!
What a ride
Far out thats pretty epic
Time for a front locker!
Great video..you sure can drive👍
Thanks 👍
To give you an idea of how beaten up the Barkly River track is, I used it a lot in my (then new) bog standard 1976 Nissan Patrol with Roadtrak Major tyres on highway pressures. I remember the only issues was wheel travel on the switchbacks. It went to hell once it got some publicity.
Tough track that one... well done
Cheers mate
Mansfield/Jamieson is such a beautiful place to drive/hike. As a former local my advice for anybody doing it is to bring a paper 4wd map or off-road nav. Google maps will not tell you the terrain and not all tracks are suitable in wet conditions. Also , bring a beanie, and bring gloves. Believe me changing a tire on a track with freezing hands is not fun.
Crazy!!

Just some casual touring footage hahaha wow pretty hectic mate ! Definitely could of used a front locker for this episode ;)
Another relaxing day touring the Victorian High Country 😬😂
Next time go in summer, haha. Then all you have to look out for is fire....... The High Country never stops giving, no matter when you go. That's why it's probably the best 4WD destination in Aus.
Sure is amazing!
Epic
So, front E locker. Its time mate.
Great job again Tyler, awesome video. Shame it's the last in this VHC series!!!
That track broke many peoples hearts. I know people that camped ON the track overnight because they were that stranded. But you soldiered on.
Like always, video does NOT do this track any justice, how savage some sections are.
Thanks mate! Yep it certainly is a hectic track
'Close the door' haha
Oh yeah!
couple of spots at the start if your winch broke whilst in action would of been interesting
Front locker time 🤠🤠🤠
I'll pass on that track 👍 another top video mate
Thanks mate!
Mate looked like a hard track but you did well enjoy your videos
Cheers mate!
(1:35) Arrrggghhhh!!! 😱So the sasquatch does exist, and it lives in the Victorian high country 😳😬
Hi Tyler I'm Ferguson Malakai,s friend at the Nature School
You need the Spinal Tap Throttle Controller that goes to 11! lol
😂
Bro you need to work with the locker company to get us some discounts. Ill be buying one soon !
Great vid !
Would you say this was the most challenging track you’ve done to date ?
One of them but I've done a few now haha
Front diff lock needed!
Cool vid! Hey does anyone know why a lot of the trees look dead?
Poor nav ,just shows how capable it is
Is it possible to weld a tube or something to cover the gap between rear door and the tray ?
That looks steep even on camera. Your Nav did really well climbin up there. As I watch I'm wondering what a front diff locker sets you back for the Nav.
Thanks mate! They are about $2500
@@TylerThompson90 Ouch. One day hey.
Gday young felah good drive, can't say l would do that trk in that weather,l was just wondering is Dan Haggerty your relative.
🙌
Have you got a track map or list? Thanks mate. Planning a trip.
Hey mate love the vids, what are you running for tyres and rims?
Thanks mate, 285/75/R16 Falken Wildpeaks and ROH vapours +20 offset
Crikey mate. BRJT on your own? In my opinion it's a track only suited to solid axle rigs not IFS.
Awesome vid though and credit to ya. Hey have you ever thought of wearing trousers and thermals?
Lol 😂😂
Just wondering what pressures you were running?
Cheers Tyler
Cheers mate! Certainly was a challenging track haha. Pressures were 15-16PSI.
I always get so hot running the camera around, hence the shorts 😂👌
When are you installing a front locker and trying it again?
Take dad next time please.
