I am in the middle of a 2002/e36 m42 swap. The trans needs to go farther up into the tunnel. That will help clear the booster/supercharger. The top of the tunnel needs to “messaged” to get the shifter setup to fit. And the bottom of the trans will likely need grinding/sanding to clear the steering. Film the wiring when you get to it. I have not done that yet.😀👍
Thanks for the comment Brian. That makes sense. Im still not sure a normal booster is gonna fit even if I gained a fair amount with the engine tilted forward. I need to get the car up off the ground to investigate the messaging thats gonna need to happen. Im not looking forward to the wiring either. This car is a bit of a mess wiring related already. But yeah Ill film what I can when I get to that point. Thanks for commenting.
I'm hoping that by super charged engine you mean an electrically supercharged engine... This is so for three reasons: First since that an electric supercharger does not draw its power requirement directly from the crank shaft, it does not stress the engine as much for a given Hp improvement or for the same amount of internal pressure stresses, , the engine would exact a higher Hp... The second reason is since an electric supercharger draws its power from a battery pack, it's battery pack could be located toward the rear of the car, a flaw of the 2002. ( insufficient rearward weight distribution for best traction) Finally, electric supercharges are a Lot more efficient than standard superchargers, since they recharge the batteries while the engine is under low load periods... Just a though! Good luck with the Project!
I've driven some manual brake cars and don't care for them on the street. This might be a little more work but I think it will have better street manners. And we can upgrade the calipers and rotors later on if needed. 👍
Keep up the good work👍 planting to put a supercharger on mine to

Love me a “poorly filmed” video. I love seeing the problems presented and then the solution. I’ll also be over in 15 to help clean that pan up😂
You should enroll in the "Jake Thomas school of cinematography"

Would you have known you were working on a bmw if I dropped off the oil pan clean?
You would have confused it for a chebby
All my Chevy oil pans are clean!
@@d_rock_t BMW techs love dirty oil pans lol.
Just go brake boosterless and Volvo big brake conversion
