    Looked everywhere for the 38mm but couldn’t find it.
    Lady Luck smiled upon me when I went to a store and found a DS Action Diver Titanium Precidrive at 41mm case (coz of its bezel, case is like 40-40.5.
    Bought it at a fantastic discount as well.
    Lug width is 47mm and the bracelet tapers down at 47mm making it wear like a 38-39…
    It’s the perfect size!!!
    Wears superb and is extremely light weight.

    Great looking blue! Love that case shape and crown guards. Beautiful caseback. It looks good on your “small, girly 6” wrist!” Ha! I’ve got an 8” wrist, so I’m on the other end of the spectrum…I know how you feel. I usually like the male end links as it adds to the lug to lug wearability, whereas I know you probably prefer female end links.

  • @G_Rizzly
    @G_Rizzly 2 года назад +1

    Thanks for the very detailed review, it was a pleasure to watch. One thing that’s inconsistent though is that the watch doesn’t seem to fit your wrist and doesn’t look comfortable at all and looks top-heavy (may have a tendency to turn around your wrist). It’s too big because of male endlinks, sits low enough on your wristbone to break your hand when you fall and it’s impossible to size because of the budget divers extension preventing adding more microadjustment holes.

      - 19mm Band, daher schwierig alternative Bänder zu finden
      - Die Tauchererweiterung wirkt recht billig
      - Nur ein Microajustment an der Schließe
      - Die Lünette wackelt etwas und ist mir tatsächlich schon einmal abgefallen (habe sie dann vom Uhrmacher wieder kleben lassen, seit dem hält sie)
      - Die Krone lässt sich etwas schwer greifen, da sie glatt poliert ist

Wenn ich sie Tag/Nacht trage, habe es im Urlaub getestet, läuft sie wie eine Quarzuhr so präzise. D.h. konkret in 2 Wochen hat sie 2 Sekunden aufgeholt. Wie ein Chronometer. Nice review. I have the bright green 41mm precidrive DS Action diver. Prefer that over this 38mm as this one wears even larger than my 41mm dur to the lug design. Sucks you can’t find a good fit. A 3rd micro-adjust hole would have been nice, or using the ratcheting clasp like on the 43mm divers. My DS Action has that as does my MIDO Ocean Tribute. At least they included both full and half links for adjustments. Certina is a great, underrated watch brand. Hopefully they get more presence in North America in the future, as I like them better than Tissot overall.

      I have the titanium Precidrive DS Action Diver and it wears like a small watch. 47mm lug width and the bracelet literally drapes round the wrist so well.

    Pretty tough choice between this and King Turtle/King Samurai. One with better ETA based movement, more digestible size. And the Seiko comes with lesser movement but ceramic bezel, saphire, cheaper price and more original design.

      I had the Seiko turtle for 3 years, very nice watch, but even I wouldn’t hesitate to chose the Certina over the Seiko if I had this choice at the time. Look at what you get - Swiss ETA movement, powermatic - 2 x longer power reserve, accuracy, but ISO6425 cert. (Seiko PADI is not the same thing), Looks like a win win to me.

    • @jewblin5305
      @jewblin5305 2 года назад +2

      I think Certina might have much better bracelet. Everybody and their dog complain about the seiko bracelets. Plus turtle isn't really that original. Take a look at Doxa Sub series. Seiko pretty much copied their 60s design. Yes, Certina looks "Rolexish". But it's really quite hard to make something new in diver watch category that would look really good. I'd take good looking Certina any time of the day.

    Certina got their sizes wrong in my opinion . The 43 mm is too big and heavy and the 38 mm is too small . They should have done what Tudor did ( they ain’t schmucks ) and do a 39 mm and a 41 mm or possibly a 41.5 mm . I don’t get their new logo but OK , but too much text on the bottom . Powematic 80 could go on the case back and the text should be preferably all the same font and size .I mean who decides and approves this stuff ? I could do a lot better , trust me .Clasp is cheap looking with only two micro adjustment positions , really ? For not much more they could have an on the fly micro adjustment clasp , screws instead of pins , and a ceramic bezel . People would pay a few bucks more for those , or just put them in at cost to gain market share . Yes I agree 19 mm lug width is also not smart it should be 20 mm . That said their DS Action 41 mm Precidrive quartz pieces were great . I don’t know why they discontinued them ? I bought three of those , one for myself and two as gifts .
