Hello, I am really sorry to bother, I am currently in year 13 and think I may have to retake, but does it put you at a disadvantage for university applications? Also, do I just apply next year, for 2024 intake with predicted grades or with my current exam grades? If it is with predictions, can they still see my current exam grades if I don't put them on UCAS? Thanks a lot, Georgi.
I got my results and they were A*BB, not very good and so I didn't get into dentistry despite getting all my offers from kings, QMUL, and Sheffield, I'm gonna retake the 2 Bs and gonna try again, but do you think that my chances would be good reapplying this year ?
Great job securing the offers in the first place! Contact the dental schools to check their stance regarding retakes. This can change from year to year and it may impact the dental schools you can apply to. Reapplying should place you in a stronger position as you will have more to add to your application with work experience, volunteering etc.
@@LancashireSmiles Thanks, I read on their websites, QMUL dont take resits, but kings, sheffield and manchester do so Im going to try and apply there, thanks so much for the help
This has given me hope. I will be in the same situation after results day. I think I will get a B in chemistry Hopefully I’ll get offers for medicine. I’ll resit in November instead of summer tho
Thank you for having me Dr. Arnold! Had a great time chatting to you!
It was a pleasure having you on!

@@user-ey7dy8xf3k also make sure, some universities such as QMUL will accept you as a resit student if you have extenuating circumstances
This was insightful for resitting thank you
Many productive things you can do in the gap year. Thanks for watching.
