- Chupacabra Offroad was invited by a group of Havasu area river rats to take on the upper half of the Arizona Peace Trail.
We wanted to create this video to give you an idea of what the terrain looks like, document our adventure, highs, and lows, and give you a better idea and motivate you to organize a trip with your buddies!
These long multi-day trips are so fun, you encounter all different types of terrain, and the weather couldn't have been better. I highly recommend the trail # 7101 outside of Kingman, awesome and beautiful terrain.
I'm excited to check out the lower section of the loop and possibly complete the entire loop one day.
I think a 2-3 day trip like this is a good test, and easier to take on for your first attempt. As you'll see in the video, there's a lot that can go wrong, even with a prepared, knowledgeable group.
A SxS is by far the best type of vehicle for this trail, I wouldn't even consider it in a Jeep or 4WD. I'm always amazed at what these rigs can do, and the places they can take you. My RZR Turbo is pretty dialed and almost 100%, I'm really happy how it worked for this trip.

Great video loved the scenery and the corpus in the corner
I still can’t get over how nice your rzr build is and one hell of a nice video great views of Havasu springs and the lake. So cool
Thank you!
Great video of our trip Nick, enjoyed having you in the group. We're doing it again in November and the southern 1/2 in March, will keep you posted. Thx
Richard Anderson thank you so much for having me, I hope the whole crew likes the video. Would love to join again
you guys killing me going around that rock with the straps haha
Nice run. Used to run our buggies across the desert back in the day. Looks a lot nicer with those smaller vari-drive cars. I need to try it in one of those this winter. Have a grand time.
Thanks
Great video. Looks like it was a great trip on an awesome trail. I really liked that transition from the desert to the mountains.
ROCKIN RODNEY thank you. You get everything on this ride, which is really cool...
Good job on the video.
Funny thing just the other day me and my buddies were talking about doing the Peace Trail next year.
Zane Turner it’s pretty cool, fun being able to go town to town, I’d like to go to Oatman next time...
When you guys hit the asphalt are you supposed to be street legal ?
I know in some places cops don't really care.
@@zaneturner8423 We are all Arizona plated for occasional on road driving.
Great video! So jealous!
Thank you 🙏
That was a bad ass video brother! Drone footage was a 10!
G’s Life thanks bro!! I appreciate it
Great ride video!
AZAdventure thank you!
Dude this is some awesome stuff!!!!!!
All-IN Offroad thanks!
Wayside Oasis at Alamo Lake is a great place to stop for lunch and fuel while riding the AZ Peace Trail.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it before we plan the next trip.
1 day Ill get to do the full loop rock wasn’t that scary but carfuls better than not, keep it up have fun
James Stinett thanks!
On a ride like this where you guys do a overnighter at a motel, what do you do for securing the cars?....Looks like a great ride, thanks!
another great video brother!
Thank you!
I remember that rock!!
Kieran Mann I hope it’s been removed!
Shared your video to Quartzsite off road facebook
Will do. It's posted on our Facebook page as well, so its easier to discover and share...
What happened to the Turbo s? That would have been perfect for that ride. Got a 2 day trip planned this summer, getting all the extra parts together. Looks like you had a great time. Great video, the drone footage is amazing.
jeffrey denson Polaris still hasn’t sent the Turbo S! Boo hoo right 🤣 thanks for watching and the feedback, this is a rad ride that was very similar to Baja trips I’ve done. Baja has better terrain but this is still really fun...
What part of the trail had all the flowers at @6:10?
Cant wait to start doing trails in AZ again soon. Been awhile :(
Almost to Bullhead, this was during the "super Bloom" so I don't think it was around for the summer and year round.
@@ChupacabraOffroad i appreciate it!
Me and some people are planning to do the full trail for the first time soon and wondering what are the most important things to take with us
Collectively you will need tools, spare parts and tow straps for most situations, you get pretty far from the highway and/ or help. Because a lot of the northern sections are rocky and slower speed, I thinks its hard to do more that 150 miles in one day, if anyone has a problem, and you lose and hour or two, it makes it tough to get done before dark. Everyone should have a spare tire, and a big enough cooler for food and water for a long day. A First aid kit isn't a bad idea, and of course radio communications and at least 2 guys that really know the GPS/ trail leaders to keep everyone going in the right direction, there are some turns and sections we got turned around in. I hope this helps, have fun!
That’s where my wife and I are at I have always been Polaris but the x3 has more room , So we are on standby until I see what Polaris is doing for next year.. hope all is well do you have any new accessories in the works ..??
N2rescue yes we have some more coming over the next 4-5 months
Your welcome
How many miles did you guys end up doing total ?
Zane Turner about 145 the first day and about 170 the second.
I want to do this ride so bad I live in bullhead city. I sold my 7200 race truck last year bought an x3 xrs. Would love to go on rides with u guys my schedule is usually open
There's a lot of people with SxS's that offroad a TON in your area. We might be doing this ride again, but it's part of a group that invited me. I would join "AZ Can Am" and "AZ RZR" Facebook groups, there are people planning rides all the time. We might create a ride later this year, or next, just need to create the time and planning to make it happen. The AZ Peace Trail website is great and easy to plan to ride this area.
Is there an entrance to the the trail from Parker, by Bluewater Casino ?
The AZ Peace Trail doesn't go into Parker, the closest would be Bouse or Lake Havasu. I started/ ended halfway between Parker/ Havasu in Havasu Springs. You can start your ride at Bluewater but you'll take some other trails to get on the route: arizonapeacetrail.org/
Thank You!
A group of us are going to run the full tral in nov, cali cars , will we get in trouble on the paved sections for not being az licensed, we will have non res az ohv permits. Thanks
not 100% sure, the group I was with all had their SxS's registered in AZ. If you are smart and not causing trouble on the roads you should be fine.
Chupacabra Offroad
The only thing we’ll be doing is going to a hotel or getting gas so we’ll just cruz and not be idiots hopefully not a lot of a/c. , when we did baja we probably had a few hundred miles of highway between Ensenada and La Paz
Take all your Calif. Registrations; Insurance Papers & ID Card for Out of State Highway Coverage ; Wear all Arizona Required Safety Equipment. Read the Arizona ORV Laws. Get your Out of State Permits.
So...no Bullhead?
We drove into/ through Bullhead on day 1 to get fuel, and eventually stay the night in Kingman. Next time I'd love to head into Oatman...
What time of year did you ride this?
Late March
Still waiting for a cost break down 😢. It is my dream to desert race. SXS look like a realistic "affordable" way to do that.
Coming soon! Of course it was over budget...
Its going to be $75G for the car.... no matter how u slice it...prob a good 5-7500$ per race
@@matthewlundrideordie8151 thx
Where is the new turbo S at ?!
Polaris Marketing told me late June/ early July...
Easy solution for the rock in the road- AIR DOWN. Partially climb the rock. I'm sure someone has compressed air
Wouldn't have worked in that particular situation, but we got around it.
I live outside of parker az anyone know where I can get a map trying to plan a summer ride for Thursday 8,3,20
I'm a fan of this app: www.onxmaps.com/offroad-app it has a lot of trails marked. I'd also suggest joining the Facebook group "AZ RZR" for riding buddies in your area.
At the 8 minute mark, what/where is that place? Great video by the way
Hualapai Mountain range south of Kingman.
Do you think an atv would make it on these trails?
Easily, it would just be long days on the quad! I hope you are in shape, we drove 10+ hours each day.
🙄 sooo scary
These razors/canams/etc. need to be banned before all of our public trails get shut down and the next generation won't be able to access these beautiful public lands by vehicle.
Wait…. You’re saying ban vehicles so they won’t ban vehicles? We got a special one here 😂😂
