A quick “First shots” video...it’s hot!!
Yes, both outside and the gun!!
I’ll be mounting a TRIJICON rmr type2 3.25moa on top, leaving the irons alone for now..(budget) don’t tell the wife...
Holster will be a Tier 1 Concealed Modern Samurai Project, LLC holster.
Will this be the gun to pull me away from M&P??

On February 2021, just recently released, I came across the Walther PDP full size 5" barrel 18+1. I bought it. I was so impressed with it, due to its reliability, amazing accuracy, and awesome trigger pull, that motivated me to get a compact. Two months later, I got me a PDP 4" barrel 15+1 L.E. edition, which includes 3 magazines and a XS night sights factory installed.
Amazingly enough, and it was quite a surprise for me, the compact size is slightly more accurate than the 5" barrel! I have tighter shooting groups with the C, although I prefer the FS.
Walther hit it "out of the ballpark" with the PDP, an improved version of the PPQ, which it's a fantastic handgun, by the way.
They're damn nice, no doubt about it. I just can't let go of the M&P myself. They're generally cheaper, even when considering an APEX trigger install. And after that install, I've yet to find a trigger, or gun that I liked more than the M&P, regardless of caliber.
Oh yeah then you’ve definitely never felt the trigger on the pdp
@@jakeminton74 I have. It's great no doubt. Especially for stock. Very impressive. But it's no Apex.
Is that black powder 🤣😂🤣 it looks like its full of dust or something could it be the humidity is so high ? You Americans are so lucky regarding weapons I moved to Germany and now if I want a gun I don't only need a permit I also need to have a safe, be a member of a shooting club and go regularly there to shoot. Its such a hassle ... If I ever move to America it'll be because of guns 😁 Arkansas reminds me of Balkan, the foliage, earth, blue sky here in east Germany everything is gray and cold, though forests are still nice.
Bought the 4inch full size..Put down the best 5 shot groups I have ever shot , other than my P210..I thought I wouldnt like this gun. Really light.. Its fantastic..Sights suck , but it was made for a dot .It takes all full size aftermarket Glock sights so its an easy fix..Great gun at a decent price. buy one you will love it..
Have you carried it?
No. I will replace the sights or put on a dot before I carry it
So did it pull you away from your M&P2.0?
I held the 4" and 3.5" PDP, and I did not feel all the magical things other people have been
claiming on different channels. Half of the people are saying that it's snappy, but acting like it's not a big deal if
you shoot it quickly! I will judge for myself whenever I shoot one for myself, but for now, I am not believing all the hype!
You're right, it is very snappy, but if you have good recoil control. It shouldn't be that bad. Although I will admit that you have to actively focus on your grip much more than any other pistol that I've shot. Otherwise the gun will definitely start to kick out of your hand a little bit, but other than that it is super accurate. I hate the cheap white dot sights that's so tiny and hard to see though.
First time ever watching this channel I also have the Walter p d p 4.5 in model full-size I love it for sure going to be a new subscriber of this channel just for what he did to that 10 round mag I love it great idea
I bought the PDP 4" full size frame when it first came out. I also have the 4.25" M&P 2.0. I put a 508T on the PDP. The PDP is now my favorite pistol with a red dot. It's my go to firearm when it comes to 9mm. I have really big hands and the full size frame fits my hand better than ANYTHING else I have. That gun was meant to have a red dot on it!
I have my full size pdp coming to me soon. Cannot wait to get it. In the hand, this gun is just GOOD. Never thought a gun would feel better in my hand than my hk vp9 until I held the pdp. I love it. Your post made me feel good about it.
Didnt even ask me if i wanted to shoot it. That’s a bunch of crap
This is my dilemma. M&P 2.0 or PDP.
Can't go wrong with either
Canik
If you're shooting it stock, it's a toss up. You *should* be just as good with either. The M&P ought to be about $50 cheaper and the mags are often on sale for less. If you want a red dot, the PDP is the way to go 'cuz you get a free plate (your choice for one) and an already cut slide for the optic. I have a 1.0 with the Apex FSS trigger and a PDP compact with an HS507CX2 and they are both great guns.
Get both
I have the same dilemma I’m stuck on which one I want to get as my 1st pistol. I do have a M&P FPC, so that might lean me toward the M&P 2.0. Not sure if the magazines are interchangeable I’m still knew to being a gun owner.
It pulled me away from my sigs legions in fact I love the PDP!
That dimple comment deserves a subscribe! LMAO
As a man stuck behind communists lines i was just writing about filing those nubs down. But of course a free man figured it out. 👍
That thumb is increasing your muzzle flip put it on the frame and grip with it
Appreciate your honesty.
My slide move right to left does yours do that
Mine doesn’t
They all rattle if you shake them side to side. The long barrel is the worst of all of them. It’s a cheaply made polymer frame. Doesn’t affect accuracy or function though.
All of my Walther's do that
I would think almost any reputable manufacturer would get you away from the m&p 🤮
Facts
I own the fn 509 and walther pdp but the 2.0 is no slouch. I still shoot my 2.0 the best!
@@tylerhaskiell1338 which one you would prefer as rank 1? I was thinking between m&p or PDP but I hear parts are hard to get and don’t like glocks much
Pdp no doubt
I love the mp. It's aesthetically pleasing gun, the trigger does have a little bit of an over travel but it has a nice crisp break and a short tactile and audible reset. The one thing I really love about the M&p 2.0 is the fact that it shoots very flat and soft. I also have the Walther PDP and the trigger is very good but the gun really kicks. It's almost as if you have to focus on your grip too much otherwise The recoil is a bitch
You should have just got a Canik. The triggers are so light most people do a double tap their first shoot.
I got both, Walther PDP and Canik TP9. Both of them outstanding handguns. The PDP is a notch above.
That’s like saying you should have gotten that Accord instead of the Acura..Caniks are budget guns
Love my PDP Full Size 4.5 inch. My only downside is sometimes it runs a little stiff so racking the slide can be a like in the beginning of this video or sometimes it jams and has a failure to eject or feed. Overall best trigger i have, very good grip and grip texturing and is as accurate as it gets.
Did you still use the stock springs after you file off the dimples?
Yes
@@aaronsguncabinet6580 Thanks.
@@darkpassenger65 Walther does not replace the magazine spring strength from 18 rounds capacity to a 10. They use the same spring, except they limit the loading capacity to comply with Commiefornia insanity.
@@v.german11b Thank you.
I fondled one @ my local gun shop & it felt incredibly cheap. Very light gun, that can be a positive but also a negative. I also noticed almost immediately after it release, quite a few people we're selling it on the used market. So at least for me,it will absolutely not replace my m&p's 2.0 optics ready firearms...
@@ElJuan008 On the fence of buying one, I hear it's really snappy and not a joy to shoot, as you mentioned I wonder if a steel rod would flatten it out.
@@kanelive2686 I heard it does, but that another 100. TaylorFreelance sells a brass backplate that can also help. But that’s another 50 lol
@@ElJuan008 Damn, and that's no guarantee. I may just pick up a Cz p10c
@@kanelive2686 I prefer my canik SC. But its thickness prints too much if you’re slim. That’s my issue. I’m sure other people have different opinions. I’m looking into the AREX
Bought the compact. Dry fired at home. Sold it immediately.
The PDP is GREAT... But its trash compared to the PDP SD Pro. It's not a very good daily carry just because of it's bulk, but when it comes to shooting, the SD PRO is just about king of the strikers fired Poly guns.
...and they're all better than an M&P 🤣
