glatt kosher means "strictly kosher". It is a term that is used to refer to high standard of Kosherness (Kashrut). It means that the food was prepared with extensive supersion and according to more strict opinions in Jewish law debates.
Literally rolling my eyes everything has to be double wrapped. This must be great for the environment. Arbitrary rules in the name of religion. Although I do enjoy the kosher meal depending on the airline, it's generally better quality.
The double wrapping is not part of the kosher rules. It’s only to make sure the contents are not tampered with, and is delivered exactly as prepared. And of course to label it properly, so you know what’s inside. I’m sure there is a more environmentally friendly way of doing all that, but the airlines probably don’t care.
Shouldn’t we all demand to eat this well? And have this much attention given to ensure our meals are prepared in clean and hygienic way? I don’t see the problem. The problem is the non-kosher junk the rest of us get served. Good on the Jewish people for actually having standards.
It’s a private company providing a service. If an airline didn’t provide kosher (or other specialty meals), people who wanted those meals would go to other airlines. Or they’d bring their food from home, and you’d be complaining that it smelled some weird way. Get over yourself.
Do provide Kosher wine in Business and in First Class?
Delicious!
What is the difference between Glatt Kosher and Kosher if you don’t mind me asking?

Ask your travel agent (or the airline) to reserve a kosher meal for you. It's free, and non Jews may also book it. Enjoy.
so much waste of packaging and wrapping after having this kind of meal... not really environmental friendly
wow
You know what? If they are that picky then let them starve

I suppose you think that anyone with food allergies should also starve.
