Zomi in Ewe simply means hot pressed oil.so whether the salt or not since it is extracted with by fire it's called zomi. However some people extract the palm oil using the cold press method ....... mostly the cold pressed it not seasoned with salt and onion. You can also add some slices of onions to it the next time you make it( after you have added the salt). And also you could have gotten alot of oil if you had chilled the palm paste before adding the water. Traditionally the palm paste is mostly left in a very cold place over night as it helps to intensify the flavour in the palm.
This is purely organic, beautiful process and detailed, perfect outcome👌🏽❤
