Jon kept messing up his manifest dread triggers and a bunch of displayed cards this episode. Normally you guys do a really good job but this one was a bit cringe 😬
Seems like a detriment when the deck wants to mill and have delirium too. I just wish the guys would all read every card that's played if it's not something they played with for years like Lilliana of the Veil or Flametongue Kavu.
For future reference, if there are two different replacement effects, the controller of the permanent affected gets to choose the order that those replacement effects apply to that permanent. (Athreos and malaria rebirth are triggers, so this doesn't apply to those interactions)
Even if the previous videos had poor camera work, we should be able to watch them. Some of us want to watch them even if the production wasn't as good as SCG standards. Please reupload them!
I was wondering what happened to last week's episode. I'd still watch it too. I watched about 15 minutes of if, left for a while and when I came back it was gone. lol What was the result for those of us who didn't get to finish it?
At around 30 minutes there were some questions about what order replacement effects are applied, the owner of the permanent or player being affected chooses the order no matter the turn order the owner of a permanent chooses the order replacement effects are applied.
@@CoreyBMTG Lol, it is a matter of respect towards your viewers. To play this so unprepared is disrespectfull towards people that watch you. It is as if some people have not played mtg ever.
It's killing me that he's doing that. READING THE CARD EXPLAINS THE CARD! So many of his card draws were cards that were supposed to be in his graveyard. He should start the next season with negative points for each one. Shame! lol
After watching for many years I just started a “season” with a “points system” to play with my good friends learning commander. They’re having fun! We are even doing themes. We rolled on a wheel and our first theme was all one type. I played talrand sky summoner all sorceries, and their decks were joira weather light captain all artifacts, the toxrill with 99 lands, and all creatures relentless rats. Joira went infinite and took 20 minutes to win but don’t worry, he lost some points for that! Love you guys
What is Jon doing? 2 mana for Scroll and manifesting top card instead of manifesting dread...and then using the cheaty discount to pay for growth spiral to flip up Ashaya. Jon should get 0 points for this episode!
Pretty sure turn order does not matter for replacement effects like when Sheoldred dies, only Stephem gets to choose the order in which the effects apply to her dying.
I like the decks that you guys play, but as a new player it’s hard to follow along with the amount banter that there is. I wish there was a little more focus on telling us what was going on at the actual game. I learn from you guys, but it takes a lot of energy to focus for me. Wish you all the best.
I thoguht when a player left the game all his cards were considered exiled, so the Duplicant should still be working with the last known values for what it exiled.
When a player leaves the game, any permanents that player controls but does not own are exiled. But cards that player owns simply don't exist anymore, as far as the game is concerned.
Wait, so last weeks episode that got removed before i could watch it counted for points? That sucks, it sounds like it was due to poor camera quality. If thats the case just reupload with a disclaimer apologizing for the poor table cam.
Guysss i love your videos a lot, but this one had a lot of mistake. Surveil doesnt say put it on the bottom of your library it is put the card on top or in to your graveyard and also manifest dread isnt just manifest, is look at the top 2 cards of your library and put face down 1 card in to the battlefield and 1 in to your graveyard. The Demolisher Spawn is a 7/7 and the delirium says if that creature attacks, other attacking creatures get +4/+4. Tomorrow ill watch the video again i might find more mistakes haahhaha. Greetings to all SCG Commander members and people there. I enjoy wathing all of your videos.
I stopped watching this show a couple years ago. Decided to give it a go again, thinking maybe they are better now... and 28:53 in... I can't do it. This is the most 'phone it in' MTG game play show I have seen. No one knows what the cards actually do. Manifest Dread, Surveil... Sorry guys, this used to be my favorite back in the day, but it fell off and it has seemingly only declined further. You have done better, and you need to do way better.
can clearly see a lack of reading there cards here lol. The spawn dose not give its self a perm +4/+4, and you Can coin counter it if you want and you will get it as the God says if the creature would go into the graveyard or exile.
John cheated/played something scummy and got salty when they interacted with him. Corey was unable to read/understand a card and misplayed horribly, but it was ok because the other 4 persons in the room don't bother to pay attention and missed it. Stephen went on a personal vendetta after being pinged for one. Jeremy contributed nothing to the game because he drew no gas. Does this sum it up for you well enough?
@@AgonalRhythm They really need a cast shake up and a semi competent player/judge on the set. Since they seem so adamant in keeping their bad habit of not picking up and reading the cards they don't know and opening gatherer to read the rulings for some of the basic interactions. Not to mention someone to keep an eye on Suarez if he plays the game properly. For how much job SCG did for the format I am ready to unsubscribe as thier production can be described as stagnant at best since Justin left.
@@AgonalRhythm oh I agree, they are all great to watch! They just need to read the cards or have the director make sure they are playing them correctly.
I think I am starting to realize commander cards nowadays are just boring to play with and watch when they provide so much value, dont even need to try, just gives you free stuff constantly.
I love the episodes as it's normally the best commander show on RUclips but this failed to hold up to it's standard as cards need to be read especially Corey needs to read his cards more
Hmm didn't replay/refilm the user submitted decks...I watched 35 minutes of that blurry game before it poofed. Instead we get this. Hard skip, for the first time in years. I still 'liked' the vid though ;)

SO MANY CARDS WERE PLAYED WRONG! This is by far the most egregious ignorance of the rules episode y'all have ever produced. The REAL outcome is incomprehensible considering how BADLY you all played each card. Triggers were ignored. Rules interpreted wrong. Buffs applied incorrectly. Just atrocious. Do better.
He is right. Not reading cards correctly is one thing, but these guys are playing Magic for so long and suddenly they cannot remember simple game mechanics. And not just once, 3 of the 4 guys are continuously misplaying and also a bit cheating (by not paying full mana cost, to play another spell) They should know better. Just a shame for this show.

Read the Cards, explains the cards. This Episode was hard to watch. So many mistakes.
This really was the episode of not reading the cards
You mean every episode of this show now?
The +4/+4 delirium creature works the other way around. It stays the same, but grows your other creatures
Yeah, rtcetc 😅
Also only on attack so no pump when on D.
John was just manifesting the top card of his library and not putting the other card in the grave on the Zimone landfall trigger

Except that neither are replacement effects. Both are triggered abilities so they go on the stack in priority order.

Agree
I mean, manifesting is strictly worse than manifesting dread. Just hurting himself on those.
That 2 mana scroll was intentional!
Jon, that first manifest dread should have been look at the top two, put one in play facedown, mill the other.
