The drums here are a dude named Alex Darval (also his YT channel name).* Loved the addition of the bass! Really solid groove for this track. Thanks for sharing!
Fear is a body killer too. The stress reduces the effectiveness of the immune system. Jesse is wise beyond his years, and his lyrics, singing, and musical skills are a delight i did not expect in these days of autotune.
Impromptu musical collaborations like this are something truly special about the internet that i hope never goes away. Thank you for making this video, hope you keep making more like this!
I'm a bit older you see, I've seen a few waves of music now. This video makes me excited to see this wave of music building right now. What a blast to see this ❤
I definitely feel like the song was untended to be played with just guitar and vicals, but it’s really cool how you guys added to the actual recording without it feeling cluttered or like y’all are doing too much. Kudos to you guys for being awesome musicians!
Dude, this is fucking sick. This is my favorite Jesse Welles song and bass is my instrument :3 Your playing is sick and really lowkey, gave this song way more edge
I just heard Alex's drums on Complain by Jesse. It sounds great! I'd love to hear what you imagined for that song, I hope you play to that song too! Thank youuu You're a great player and have a unique way of playing
Hey @Devie Listening 3rd time I'm hearing Jesse dragging the beat, Alex keeping time but also sometimes slow to match Jesse, (and with that slow shuffle hi hat) and you are pushing the beat It's an awesome contrast, I'm reminded of Curtis Mayfield "Cannot Find a Way" that whole album. So therefore! (even though i want to add a track of feedback guitar here and there) --> the next layer is strings! Reverbed out violins and violas on first chorus and subtle after. Thanks for the imagination!
Hey Devie! Alex Darval just put drums to "Rocket Man" by Jesse. Alex put up his vid 3 hours after Jesse shared the orginal! Wanna play on that song too? I really like how you play!

Like it but the drums are too loud 🥲
@@siddharthajfk7722 Fair enough...some peeps need bass....which sounds good. Drums sound out of place. Discordant.
Internet is cool sometimes. This is dope
This is what the internet is FOR! Bless this mess, sometimes.
Now someone needs to add keys
@@SpaceFaceClosetoMine I might f around and add some kinda funky synth. 😬
Absolutely
My exact thoughts.
Dudewho plays guitar in forest wakes up to find hes formed a parasocial band without even knowing. This is the future people
When new technology doesn't suck. This is creativity. Don't worry.
I hope this explodes all over RUclips. For the algorithm!
I was just on the drummer's page saying "all we need now is someone to play bass" and then the YT gods sent me here. Great stuff.
Now it needs some piano.

Thats the bass. Great work. Jesse just brings music out of the best musicians
That bass sits sooo well
It's like..I love his simplicity...but that just makes it better ❤❤

its because it sounds like pink floyd, gramma. i love it too, but you cant deny its highly derivative
@@АлексейЛогинов-ж1ц god forbid someone's inspired by another band

I’m a lyric broad..all good. At 74.11 still on planet and loving this young man

This is INCREDIBLE! I love how a tasty bass groove can bring a drum part to life and she does an AMAZING job doing just that!!! Hats off!!!!
Man, I adore the original song but a little swing goes a long way. So so rad
Thanks Guys. It took a few weeks ❤ you know it just needs a fiddle now. Or , a harmonica.
i saw the drummer guys video and though “this could do with some bass” and boy was i in for a treat
I too have been inspired by Welles to start playing again. That ride cymbal is choice!
help i cant stop listening to this
Awesome!!!!!! I hope he sees this to
Who?
@@FrankBurnham The Dude. The original dude
Wasn't a huge fan of this one, but it definitely has the most potential for collaboration out of all his songs.
I hope this blows up, holy crap, i love this!!!
Awesome indeed commenting help push this along for the algorithm 😁🎼🎸🥁🎶

Yea, this is good.
This is taking on a RCHP vibe now.
Fuckin sick
the riff for this is identical to oh tengo suerte by masayoshi takanaka but it honestly fits
Hell yeah it was just a matter of time until other sick musicians would pick up on this gem of a song writer
Sick musicians....thinking they could add something to it. Not this time.

Need to boost the vocals
yuh
now it just needs a guitar with flanger and chorus or something, maybe organ and electric piano too? that would be sick
