The movie sticks to it's harsh realism firmly. But every now & then, it gives you the crazy Joker & Harley movie you had in your head - by showing what's going on in THEIR head. It's pretty genius.
I wouldn't say it sticks to harsh realism that much, it's still all from his pov. He just has fantasies cause he's deranged. Even Harley's character is pretty much all his own subjective perception of her.

Sometimes people are sick and and have these fantasies and ideas and take steps forward only to take double the steps back, if anything I thought it made the movie more realistic than any other movie I’ve seen, like literally “that’s life” lol

@ I enjoyed it better than the first movie. Try watching the 1st film more than once. You can’t really. This film I had fun with the music elements the the great acting. It is in no means a bad movie. Sure if people are upset about the direction it took I understand, and it has its flaws u get it. But it’s not bad at all and I would rate it better than the first

This scene proves (like the first film did) that Joaquin was BORN to play this role. To bad the film itself ultimately disagreed.

Despite the movie being trash, the song and Joaquin Phoenix’s performance is better than the actual movie itself. 😂
