This interviewer deserves way more credit than he gets. I've seen him a lot, and he asks very smart and appropriate questions for the movie he's researching. He really cares about the quality of his craft. Hats off to you man!

I am grateful that he mentioned childhood PTSD and it’s effects bc it’s not talked about enough. Thank you Joaquin for bringing awareness to this issue.
After watching this interview, I watched the movie with a new perspective. It helped me understand Arthur even more than I already did.
Joaquin is so much better than Hollywood deserves! This man is a gem.

Kevin is such a good interviewer. You can always see how excited he gets when talking to the people he interviews about the artistry involved in making a film. Well done once again mate.
You could see how Kevin revealing a piece of his past released a genuine and compassionate response from Joaquin, as well as a very candid revelation from his own childhood. Powerful stuff.
Finally a interviewer who is really preparred and ask very interesting questions. Good job sir
The interviewer who was asking inappropriate questions to get a glamorized headline out of Jaoquin Pheonix should take a page out of the interviewers book. Maybe it would do them some good. This interview, and interviewer was spectacular!

This guy is a good interviewer
You can tell Todd is very passionate about his work. His eyes kinda lights up when the interviewer compliments his film and he’s genuinely interested in what he has to say. So cool to see
This reporter is fantastic. It's amazing to watch someone else who loves film ask the right questions and do it in a way that gets great answers all the while making the artists who are doing great work feel as though its worth it

Phoenix has always been a great actor and he proved himself again in the JOKER! Great movie. Pretty intense nd full on film but brilliantly made.

I cracked up laughing when the interviewer asks Joaquin Phoenix about the weight loss and Joaquin states that he worked with a nutritionist and made sure he stayed healthy and then the director later says..."he told you that? I think he just ate an apple a day or something." I found it so incredibly funny for some reason. XD
The fact that he is so calm and composed while speaking and seeing him transforming into joker is a testimony itself. This guy should get an oscar even though i felt he should have got it way before for The masters or Walk the line

How Kevin McCarthy is not running a Multi-Million Dollar media company is beyond me. If he's happy with his career im hella happy for the guy. However, I just want to go on the record saying I truly believe this guys talents are meant to be seen on a larger scale. The amount of prep and intellectual-smarts this guy has topples every other interviewer.

@@DravicPL I've actually based a main character of my novel on his brother so I did my research and I know these two and their history very well so no, I'm not a "psycho fan" as you so kindly called me, I'm simply a listener. I look him in the eyes, I feel and connect to him and I understand things that might actually go both ways. Shocking, right? And you can insult me all you want but to call anyone a psycho in any context under this film's title and themes is just sad. As Arthur would say it: The joke's on you.

This is a real interview. Saw this right after Kimmel interview, which was terrible. Joaquin Phoenix actually gets to speak in this one. Kimmel is a disgrace who laughs like a 12 year old boy. Very refreshing. Can't wait to see this movie!!

This is one of the very very few interviews that was really interesting for me to watch! I just love that interviewer really knows the topic plus there is no flattering/ ass-kissing like the majority of interviewers do towards actors (laughing for no reason, complimenting them constantly in their questions etc.).

I don't think very many actors could be able to describe the neurological basis of PTSD in such a succinct manner, and relate that to the character they portray. Apparently Joaquin is one of those actors.
