this interviewer is such a film nerd; he and tarantino looked like a couple
first time I see Tarantino totally comfortable with an interviewer
Check out the YT channel DP/30. He has 30-60 minute interviews that are totally uncut. He’s had Samuel Jackson and Quentin on the show
@@tuckerrobbins9592 Yes! Also Quentin was on a podcast with Kevin and they spoke about an hour about films and cinema, it's awesome.
Quentin finally meets someone spazzier than him lol.
i was thinking the same thing
yeah but it was a good interview. The guy clearly cares about film and isn't just phoning it in.
Brilliant
😂😂😂
you know that quentin tarantino was actually enjoying the time talking about movies when at 0:14 he says, "this doesn't count as his time". willing to talk more even after all the interviews he has to do in a day.
top interviewer. most suck. this guy has passion.
this guy is like the perfect interviewer. jeez get this gut out there more
+Knowledge I can't take someone serious who calls himself Knowledge.
+Knowledge Apparently preferring an obvious film fan as opposed to a dry, boring journalist who couldn't give less of a shit is pathetic. Your logic is infallible.
+Nathan Nissim Yeah, his enthusiasm is very endearing.
+Knowledge The importance isn't his presentation, it's in his passion, considering how most interviews are very much an obligation rather than an opportunity to exercise curiosity and get answers and explanations to questions fans/enthusiasts want to ask.
Yeah he needs to eat some cheeseburgers and get his gut out there
wow Quentin's really nice. Mad respect as a filmmaker and as a person!
Now this is what I call a great interviewer. He's so interested in their work, lets them talk, and only speaks about the topic. Nice to see an interviewer that doesn't ask about why are his movies too violent, that it affects the mind of younger viewers, and all that ridiculous bullshit.
The reporter knows his job, and most importantly, is a fan of the people he's interviewing. This guy is one of the best.
this guy's questions are amazing. journalists should do that more. you know... know about what he is talking about.
DAMN THIS INTERVIEWER GUY IS SO FUCKING GOOD.
+Isolated Queen's Pawn totally agree, he is SO fucking annoying and just kisses ass
+dhide14 Not at all, he knows his shit. He has done his homework and asks very interesting questions if you're an avid film fan. Breath of fresh air if you ask me. So many interviewers just "doing their job" and not going the extra mile
+Syazwan Azemi reminds me of jake hamilton, the movie guy (just watch his django unchained junket)... but where i feel jake is natural and charming this guy lacks a bit....
+Isolated Queen's Pawn he's at the limit... but still on the good side of that limit. he's just genuinely hyped.
Great to see an actual Tarantino fan doing the interviewing. What a difference.
I love the begining, when Quentin is like "yepp, this guy is legit, don't start his time just yet" xD
noticed a lot of people calling the interviewer "Great" or on the opposite hand "Asslicker" etc etc.. I think he's just passionate about films, which is.. actually nice to see, seen so many interviews where the interviewer asks vague questions or some stupid personal shit that doesn't involve the movie at all. At least this dude nerds out about actual film stuff and clearly the actors and directors etc respect that, I can imagine their nerds about it all as well.
P.S to clarify I'm also a movie nerd, I can relate to his excitement/passion.
I'm glad to see Michael Madsen back in a Taranto film. He just fits into his movies so well.
Wow, what a fan! Networks should definitely choose interviewers who really love the people they're interviewing. it's really successful here
It's really refreshing to see someone this enthusiastic being the interviewer.
"This doesn't count as his time" what a gentleman.
*Can't wait until Kevin interviews him again for Once Upon A Time in Hollywood*
Best interviewer EVER! Thanks, Kevin!
Can some director please take this interviewer to the set? If I ever became a director I would.
It would be an honor to be interviewed by this man. So much careful thought goes into meticulously constructing his questions. And at the same time they can be so entertaining. Brilliant interviewer! His questions elevate my level of thinking. Thank you sir!
You are AWESOME man! You always get people to lighten up and Quentin in this especially! You share a genuien passion for films and filmmaking and that translates! His invitation was the sweetest thing and it shows how much he respects you!
This has been propably the best Interviews about a Movie i have ever saw! Kevin McCarthy asked thoughtful and interesting questions and was passionate about the subject. Very nice to see that still exists!
Did anyone else get a kick out of the fact that he called Marricone (so?) 'the maestro'? 😊👍👏👌
The makers of the film as well as the cast always have a blast in your interviews man! Hope you get to interview the GoT cast as well someday. Nice video dude.
Great interview by a guy that knows his actors and movies.
Skip everything and go immediately to around 16:00 and listen to Bruce Dern give the best comments ever about Tarantino's unique ability to get the best out of his actors ! What a tribute from such a great actor !
Interviewer nailed it...He represents all of us fans..
wow i loved these interviews especially Bruce Dern talking about all the greats he has worked with
why is this interviewer not like famous himself?! hes an amazing interviewer i love all these interviews i can see how much he loves movies and thats what makes a good interview, when both parties love the same thing!!!
This interviewer knows more about Quentin Tarantino than Quentin Tarantino.
Do they call you TRINITY?
You can tell Quentin really loved doing this interview. Love it.
I love listening to this dude. QT’s energy and enthusiasm is really uplifting 😊
That interviewer is really good and its nice to see a guy thats so into film making and respects what actors and directors do! very refreshing!
I could listen to Bruce Dern talk for hours. I seriously want to interview him someday.
What an amazing interviewer!!
This interview is awesome and you can tell quinton loves it
this interview was awesome... i don't know your name, but great sets of questions
The interviewer sounds so jittery and excited, but in a good way. Made this really enjoyable! :)
Man I love this interview, he is always asking the questions I want to hear!
+Cluto he asked 3 of the same questions to anybody, the 65mm question tarantino i get it, but others ? its just not their thing, i feel like that interviewer is creating some passion in terms of who he s interviewing, thats sad ..
+Cluto I just love how passionate he is about this. You can literally feel that he's honestly interested about those things and not only asking questions because it's his job. You're amazing, Kevin! As much as your guests are!
Same
+和ァ独 It still feels like schtick to me. In every interview he says "movie name" is one of the best movies ever seen.
I love Kevin's passion and attitude towards film and his interviews.
I love how excited the interviewer gets.
I love this interviewer. He's so excited.
That moment when Tarantino said "this does not count as his time"
Two film geeks, geeking out, and I felt #nerdtears
Best interviewer of celebrities I have ever seen, and deserves a much bigger platform.
man watching these two geek over films is amazing !
Finally some questions that do not repeat all over on other interviews... Great job! (sry for poor eng, duh).
I love you, Quentin.
Great interview Kevin!
Kevin you are one of the best interviewers out there. Believe me mate. Most of them go through the motions and suck, you are really into it mate and it helps the whole answers side of it.
I love how Quentin calls Morricone "maestro" :3333
Tarantino giving him more time was pretty cool
What an awesome interviewer. What's he doing working for Fox?
And Bruce Dern, WOW!
Really looking forward to this movie! I got my roadshow tickets!
looking forward to seeing this, love all his films.
bob the mexican did a excellent job in the movie i enjoyed every second of him on screen that accent was just perfect :'p
Yeah he was brillant. Portraying such a "bad actor" and suspicious from the very start! Mi negro amigo :D
@@al1976-v7m :""p
I think the score really did help this movie A LOT. Quentin should do original score more often.
Fuck me, so Laura Dern IS the daughter of Bruce Dern? Awesome.
Lovely interview, long and energic.
Great interview!!
I haven't watched the film, but the reviews are in and it's blowing my mind. Quentin Tarantino NAILED it again, didn't he!?
+MJk Slasher hell yeah dawg
Bruce dern is such a class act
I want to be as excited about one thing as Quentin is about everything.
You know Quentin really liked this guy since he didnt even want to start his interview time at the beginning.
Torrenting has actually been on the interviewers podcast twice since this interview
love this interviewer (srs), especially when he trys to correct tarentino on his work lmao shits crackup
I love Tim Roth. Sigh....😊
The Tarantino of interviewing chats to the McCarthy of filmmaking.
reservoir dogs was filmed in 5 and 1/2 weeks, that's insane
guy is an awesome interviewer
Best interviewer lol
It's good to see an interviewer that's a fan of the work of the people he is actually interviewing! At least it's not that prick who made RDJ walk out and piss off Tarantino
God this movie is incredible...
Way cool interviews-! It's nice to see a fellow film geek asking truly incisive questions.
TWO THINGS: 1) For me, BRUCE DERN ... wowza. It's because of SILENT RUNNING at age 12, I would one day become a produced screenwriter and commercial director.
2) I wish I had known QT was a fan of my picture from his Video Store Manager days because he and Roger Avery sat behind me at the industry screening of DIE HARD 3. It took my star to tell me several years ago he had it on his 'Favorite Shelf' back then.
Wait -- one more thing. QT's Right of Free Speech seems to have been forgotten by certain segments of the all too militant, shaved head Police World. All I can say, it's his right -- as is any citizen's -- to speak out when our alleged protectors are causing more harm than good to the people of this country. Period.
D.A.
ps: THE HATEFUL EIGHT shot in 'CAMERA 65' with the original BEN HUR lenses ..? Oh baby, I got me some major movie-geek wood.
Hahah this guy must have annoyed some of the actors a little bit, but in doing that - he disarms them and allows them to feel 100% comfortable in knowing they're talking to a fan that is on their side. I hate the fox network, but the guys behind these segments are making some good decisions!
Walton and Tim part was funny, I forgot he tortured Django lol.
the interviewer is asking more questions about Tarantino's old movies than Hateful 8
best interviewer! Get him out more!
I never realized this movie does have similarities with The Thing...
Jennifer aged beautifully!....You would never guess that was her.
"Joe Gauge"! Very intimidating!
Bruce Dern is so fucking intense when he talks.
This movie flat out kicked ass.
Kurt Russel is such a badass!
most probably wont ever happen, but i always loved the idea of him directing a james bond movie.....good that would be amazing
WALTON killed this role, he DESTROYED IT in the very best way.
5:54 Wow... That LOOK. Very intimidating.
Oshit!!! The voice Of Micheal Madsen is so Gorgeous!
The Host is perfect..
Great interviewer!!!!
Dude! Bruce Dern is awesome.
I like the fact that Quentin Tarantino was sitting alone, while 3 actors was sitting together. I guess Tarantino is scary.
+Simon Pedersen Not really thats usually how these work
it's a joke omfg
+Simon Pedersen wasn't funny tho...
+Simon Pedersen Your joke is stupid. Its not funny.
+Simon Pedersen Your picture is scary.
i wish you had asked Bruce Dern about Hitchcock
the interviewer's on point
Love how into film this interviewer is
this interview is dope
Good interview
this movie and interview were fucking brilliant!
I wonder why they paired Dern w Madsen. They didn't have any scenes together
If you ask different people the same questions it means that you were never really interested in the answers, so that is a no no.
The interviewer is behaving how I would be behaving if I met these people he just can't contain himself
Movie turned out to be great and funny !
this guy is really on point with his questions, seriously.
