What a coincidence! Last week I also went on my first offroad ride on my new bike and it also got wet in the middle of it. Also went through a small section of deep sand that was not expected. I also use my Shoei RF1400 (Z8 in Japan) road helmet for adv purposes since I ride mostly on paved surfaces. Good luck on your future plans for the channel!
I think it must be the way it always goes. My first off-road was on the TA, lost (more lost than intended) in Indiana. The tiny farm road I was on suddenly turned into a mix of deep, fresh gravel and rocky dirt. Enormous pucker factor, but made it just fine. I hadn't even changed the break-in oil yet. The same YT folks you mentioned, their advice made the difference for me too. ...stay loose on the bars...stay loose on the bars!
Also a Transalp owner and love seeing your roads in Japan. Looking forward to your future content. Have you seen the vmx tubeless wheels on kkeracing that they’re selling for the Transalp?
I'll follow your journey all the way from NJ!

NIce one mate. Gotta love google ;-) Can't say I envy riding in the rain on dirt roads. Good to see your face by the way.
@sattvicvelo3506 thanks, and thanks for being along for the ride so far

@@dustintu5827 yes, I've talked to them. They are the africa twin wheels that seem to fit the transalp.
Bit out of my price right now
What ever it takes.

@TaiwanKyoryu hahah, it makes sense right?😅
任天堂にキレられるからと思ったらTypoが理由だったのは草なのよ。日本って割と未舗装路を探すのが大変な気がするけど楽しめてるは良いですね。
