Such a similar story to me did scafell then completed the 3 peaks in 6 weeks the bug hit me and I’m still excited each hike and camp the wild summit camping I watched Paul Messner and Andy beavers that was me hooked on the camping all the best top man 👍
Love that and yes very similar as I was the same watching all the RUclipsrs and still do. Really love hiking and watching others too it’s great isn’t it. I’ve had a 4mth break from everything but starting back at it again now

Yeah it’s a bit strange doing a video like this and really wasn’t sure about releasing it on here as not sure how it’d go down or fit with my other content but I thought it was a really good interview and was honest so thought it’d be good to share. The event will be tough too but something good to get my teeth stuck into. Need to get smashing out the long distance hikes this year before this.

Loving this interview mate. Especially the mental health aspect, for me I don't struggle with getting out, but with having a stammer it's more of the meeting new people. Being solo (with just the dog) is great, but from time to time having a good craic on a camp would be cool. All the best with the Everest challenge, you've got a good team with Al, Paul and Andy 🤙🏼... Might look at doing this myself next year, I love all these challenges 👊🏼

Aah that’s interesting and appreciate you struggling with that, my daughter has Tourette’s which is challenging for her to meet people too but just own it 🤙🏼 I just need to get steps in place so it doesn’t keep becoming an issue. Might do a few kids for my car so I can sleep in it the night before for a hike at a location rather than always waiting to go in the morning which has been a stopper at times. Will see. Yeah lots of challenges I want to do this year. Can’t wait to start getting on the long distance hikes again very soon too.

Best advice to your daughter is to not let it get in the way of being the person she wants to be. Are you still doing your group hikes? That's one reason to keep getting out if you're ever doing any in the Peaks/Snowdonia I'd be keen to join 🤙🏼

Cheers Andrew I appreciate the support. Yeah it’s been 4 mths since hiking and struggled to get out but yesterday was the first time out and I’ve missed it. Led a group of 19 guys up Snowdon for their Charity Hike and now with that commitment to get out it’s what I needed to get back on it again.
Enjoyed the video but its a very expensive event ! £400 pre person in a team or £495 as an individual wow! , Not sure I could find three other people willing to part with £1200

All catering and things provided so something different so just sharing why I’m taking part and giving it a go. Not here to really publicise it just sharing it what I’m doing really and people can check it out if they want to if that makes sense.
I really like the idea Kris but other then food I really can't see what a team of four get for £1600! You also need to take your own tent's. I agree its not going to be for everyone. I'm only guessing but is your team getting a good discount for the free exposure of the event? @@krisgleave
