I personally think that nintendo knows how important acnh is to all of its fans and they know they have to perfect any updates they make because if they release and unfinished or flawed update it’ll upset people
They might do an update later this month and yes it’s disappointing that they didn’t show or say anything but people are acting like it’s the end of the world and how Nintendo stole their money, like did all those hours that you liked/loved just get thrown out?
The fact that the community is only asking for things that existed in previous games is so wild to me that they haven’t given it to us. I used to defend this game and was all about being patient but now I’m over it and I’m just disappointed. There really isn’t much to do besides decorate which was super fun at first but now I really just miss Brewster and all the old npcs. Overall I’m just very upset which I know I’m not alone on this
You said it all its like wow I thought this was the perfect opportunity to announce at least something but no and it's like why but they announced dlc for other games
literally like all were asking is for stuff that was already in the previous game which was $20 less and on a handheld console. hell, id even take pocket camp style item/clothes/hair drops if we actually got those constantly buy we just get NOTHING. its actually astounding.
after 500 hours i pretty much gave up with updates. I had fun while iit lasted. though, hopefuly if they make another game that all this stuff is out on release
@@Claireee1742 pocket camp is free without purchasing upgrades to the game. almost everything in the game is paid for if u want the shiny new stuff that they constantly update...
What i thought "a few years of updates" meant: - have 75-90% of content return from new leaf - have new fun stuff What "a few years of updates" really means: - holidays with minor changes - 1-2 returning features from new leaf - tiny , disappointing updates with a few items each
the like 2 and a half items we get aren’t even that good i mean pocket camp gets so many great things and meanwhile ppl who payed way more for a full on video game get: “ UwU hello kitty chair
Exactly! Knowing that we’ve all been sitting here waiting and talking about the updates that we would like/want, but they just ignored it completely?! 🗑
Didn't they SPECIFICALLY SAY "And don't worry the games that havent appeared we are making progress on them and will soon get updates"? Y'all just need to wait like bruh you guys know how hard it is to make a game in a pandemic?
It’s a harsh reality when we we were told we would have three years of updates. I’ve given up on AC for now because I’m not motivated to do anything with it but I’ll for sure get back in to it when or if they announce something new. On a different note, I feel like people are being a little irrational as well. The same people saying they will no longer support Nintendo over this will be the first people screaming and jumping for joy when they do release new dlc. At least that’s what I think. 🤷🏼♀️
They also say that about every game too. haha it's like pokemon - everyone would complain about every game saying they want a gen er 5 remake? But then we got that remake and now they hate that one!
@@maougha I understand expectations being high but I always do my best to be grateful for what I’m given, especially because I know I can’t do their job haha. I find a lot of people struggle to do that. Complaining is just too easy I guess haha
@@maougha I mean I am a lifelong pokemon fan its my #1 favorite game and I think the chibis are cute but the character models look funky. I don't hate it but I do understand the disappointment from many fans as we kinda expect remakes to have the region brought into the current art style. I'm a little butthurt that they showed us anything since announcement when it's due this year. The community is going crazy wondering if they're adding anything new.
i've been holding out on making changes to my island expecting a big update or new buildings or QoL changes so you at least don't have to move the museum to the beach and back to move it over a square but yeah now i know it's dead in the water to nintendo and don't even want to play anymore, i'm so disappointed.
@@ultraluxex8551 aw, I’ve pretty much abandoned my island too. I flattened it and then lost all motivation since there was nothing to look forward to. We will have our moment again. Fear not, friend. 🤍
I’m just very disappointed they haven’t even updated their original nooks cranny I’m just very bored with the game at this point design gets old after a while I think I was happier with the way city folk and previous ac gameplay was this game just is unfinished and repetitive with the dialogue and all that, if an update doesn’t come soon I’ll be putting it away
If you look at the dates for the trailer last year, we didn’t get an update until June 29th. My prediction is that we will probably get some version of the summer wave which was a good method. Kapp’n could still happen this summer we just have to wait another week or two. 🤷♀️
@@karencollins1356 like Pat said at the beginning of the video, E3 is typically used as an advertising campaign for new games. So it makes the most sense that it wasn’t there. I’m personally not that surprised and I was still really happy with a lot of the games that came out of E3.
There are no mental gymnastics I can pull off to justify the best selling switch game of 2020 no-showing at the biggest brand presentation of the past 2 years. I don’t even care about an update at this point. To just flatout say nothing to the 33M+ fanbase is mind boggling to me.
Yeah it would have made much more sense if AC still had the smaller highly invested fandom, more similar to Metriod. But it was genuinely the biggest system seller of the last year. The fact that they didn't even mention it is bonkers.
I still play everyday, even just for a few mins to see if there’s a campsite villager or something.. I really love the game. I would play more if there was a way to restart the island without losing DIYs and stuff. But it’s not dead to me because nothing was shown at E3. I’m disappointed but I still think there’s a possibility Brewster could be coming in the Autumn, and all the current seasonal events will get something new, items or something. And I’m really looking forward to that!
I am really annoyed with that feature too - if we're locked to one island per switch, we should be able to have the diys we've unlocked available to us.
For me, Pat, it was like going to a coffee shop, ordering a Venti Iced Latte, meeting a hot guy in line that orders the same thing and we hit it off, but don't really connect. Just not the right time.
I just don't understand why Nintendo thinks it's ok to release an unfinished game for full price, then not support it ESPECIALLY when they've sold over 30 million copies!!! We are missing SO MANY things from the original game. It's just unfathomable to me. Do you know how much money they could make with a DLC?!?! It just boggles my mind. I can't understand Nintendo's decisions sometimes.. smh.
(Using the comment section to vent lol). Pretty disappointed in New Horizons as a whole tbh. It was okay at first, but imo the updates started to get pretty lackluster. As a longterm player of the series, NH just doesn't feel like an AC game to me. I miss when villagers would show up at your house and how you'd have to earn their friendship instead of them being automatically nice to you. I had hope that they'd add at least some little updates with some of the old features that's always made AC charming. In conclusion, ACNH is a good game, but I don't think it's a good Animal Crossing game.
I'm actually in the minority who isn't affected. I'm still going to play. I actually do think a bigger update will eventually pop up Nintendo is just on their own schedule and our complaints won't make them change that. lol The thing about the online world is that we often don't really represent the vast majority of fans who aren't online. I'm guessing Nintendo knows this and have probably timed their updates for their bigger audience. And I think they also know that those who quit the game now will probably return when they drop a significant update.
I’m honestly upset. Like I get it but even with the small updates, it’s not enough to keep it exciting. I have all the DIY’s my museum is full and I know I can start over but like.. I love the progress I made but we need more. It’s not enough to keep me interested by adding a small flower basket.
@@iamjohnporter67 oh wow, waiting about 2 months for the next update when fans of other games waited years for a new entry. Get some patience dude. It's not like they can just drop models into the game and everything works fine. Plus the team (or part of them) is also working on Splatoon 3. If they had something ready they'd show it when it's ready.
I predict no new NPCs. Just small updates and item drops. And it’s going to all be okay cause we’ve spend hundreds of hours playing on the switch and making friends and building a community. I know we are quite literally addicted to this game, but it’s just that. A game. 1 among many. It won’t die unless we let it. And we will inevitably find a new addiction.
At this point I’m getting so bored of this game will always love it but it’s like there is nothing drawling me in anymore it feels like the same stuff it just getting repeated from last year:(
i still play every day!!! i feel like youtubers are freaking out with no animal crossing content, but animal crossing is such a versatile game. for me ACNH is a daily regimen for me. its not even a game to me but just apart of my day. its nice to watch live streams of acnh whether on this channel or whoever is streaming. i really hope you and other youtubers don’t give up on acnh bc there is so much life to it and different ways to keep things interesting.
We were given an unfinished game and that’s that. We waited so patiently this year with so much HOPE for some type of update but no. This is incredibly disappointing and I cannot believe this is where we were left. I remember the excitement at the start of the year and the way everyone was disappointed with the festivale update, little did we know that would be the final big update for this game. Now we’re excited when we get a single item and have full videos dedicated to them. And that’s sad, we shouldn’t be left like this.
This was sadly the last straw for me. I’ve been playing this game every single day since it’s release and after the 2nd bunny day basically only brought like 4 or 5 new items, I knew it wasn’t looking good. Everyday I’m starting to think this is the complete game they want us to have and I’m just not down with that. Thanks for the memories ACNH!
Eventually? So how many years should we wait? 2? 5? 11? “Eventually” is pretty sad, especially since Nintendo are the ones who said they would update fir at least three years. They’re just playing us for fools at this point. Maybe if we stop giving them our money they’ll get the hint. 🤷🏻♀️
I think that we in the ACNH community hype ourselves up too much. Whilst I think we should have got an update/announcement, there wasn’t really any solid hints that we would. It’s the same in The Sims 4 community.
I hate to say it but I feel like Nintendo wasn't able to complete big year 2 updates as planned because of covid and then just decided to shelf the idea altogether instead of trying to bust ass to "catch up" because the game already sold way better than expected. If you're a short-sighted businessman, why would you allocate part of your already strained workforce improving a game that already made you money when you could instead focus on the new thing that will make you more money?
I still have hopes for a major update, even if it is unlikely, I am incredibly disappointed by E3, but honestly, I think people are going a bit crazy about it. People saying they’re giving up on the game as a whole is a bit much, I’m gonna try and enjoy what we’ve got, and if something big comes, I’ll be very happy.
I feel like Nintendo’s thought process is, “we’ve made our money, we’ve sold millions of copies, we already got them, we don’t need to continue to try and lure players in with ACNH.” if they had things in the works why not show it? it really sucks that they are leaving out so many fun aspects of the game and beloved NPC’s. the whole thing is just weird to me tbh. super disappointing. it’s clear that they know what we want... it just seems like they don’t care anymore. I haven’t played in months, I’m bored, there’s nothing left to do. if we all stop playing that’s not going to affect them because they made their money off of us. people who don’t have the game yet will still buy it even if they don’t continue to update from here on out. Why are they going to waste time and money on continuing to update a game that was already their highest seller of the year? I can almost guarantee that there will be no new NPC‘s, just like you said. maybe small little updates to the existing holidays if we’re lucky
I didn't hear it but supposedly, they did mention AC in the treehouse saying that looking forward, we can expect new items based around existing events and holidays. So I think we're done with giant updates for AC. If we get a cafe on the museum or something with the dock, it isn't Brewster or Kapp'n. They'll next-gen us like they did with CJ, Flick, and Daisy Mae.
I'm certainly disappointed by e3 this year, but its understandable given that all throughout the pandemic Nintendo warned us of potential delays and I think update announcements for ACNH is no exception. I mean, AC wasn't the only thing that was anticipated for today's direct. Many people were expecting news on things we know are definitely coming like the new Switch Pro, Splatoon 3, the Pokemon Diamond & Pearl remakes, and the Pokemon Legends game and not a single word about any of them was mentioned. Even the trailer reveal for the new Smash DLC wasn't up to par with previous reveals. All in all, it was a pretty underwhelming presentation. So I don't think just because there was no update today means we should rule out anything bigger later on.
Listen, I can create as many themed islands as I damn please and I'll never get bored. Do I wish we'd get super cool new updates? Yes. Will I stop playing? Look, I'm still playing pretty much daily over a year after the game released. That's a testament to the game we have
I think you are 100% correct, this was not the place to announce free ACNH updates. And the fact they did not announce DLC to me means that will not happen. With well over 1,500 hours in this game with 2 consoles, I am satisfied that I have more than my money's worth and have truly enjoyed the experience along the way. I would welcome anything additional, but feel good about setting is aside for now.
Pat.....I feel like our thinking is finally on the same wavelength :P Personally, even with minimal updates I'm golden. There are very few games that offer thousands of hours worth of gameplay without the addition of DLCs. BOTW doesn't even offer that. I would be extra hyped about banana trees though.
Even if the game is nowhere near finished, its good for now, and I'm happy it's even getting updates. Like imagine the game without getting any free updates or DLC. That would suck. I also want banans too.
I feel like I'm in between - I tore down my island 6 months ago and then stopped playing 😅 I kind of regret it now, but I guess I have a blank slate to play with. I'm sure once I'm done decorating my island again, I'll be bored, but I'm hoping that takes me a while!
I felt like a delicate vase on the edge of the cliff, then nintendo pushed me off and I shattered into a million little pieces..... too dramatic? Ok.... I'm just frustrated with Nintendo LOL. I am interested in that Guardians Of The Galaxy game. I would love to see the original Playstation One Tomb Raider games remastered for Switch
I'm not surprised that animal crossing wasn't at E3. All your reasons made total sense! I love animal crossing, always will, and just because we didn't see it at E3 doesn't mean I'll stop playing. I'll always be hopeful for brewster and other characters, and I'm grateful for the updates they've given us so far! They have a lot on their plate and I'm sure they hear what the AC community wants. It's just a matter of time :)
The Lily love is REAL. 💚 😂 She is indeed adorable and my fav. but about the E3, I do believe we will have something else for acnh this year, but got a bit disappointed! The streaming made it awesome tbh
Always played the game as its meant to be played don't TT have never visited anyone, I have 1500hrs invested in the game and still play every day and enjoy,Nintendo still have this year and next for updates be patient you never know
@@KBanek they are making a 2.0 update just like what he said I knew what Nintendo was doing.. just promoting what they have coming monetary wise animal crossing free updates means no money
i hate to hear it but you’re probably right, but i don’t think it will interfere with my game play too much, i will still find joy in redoing my island and finding new ways to decorate and create
I'm disappointed but I still will play the game!! ACNH still could surprise us at any giving time and give us an update!! I still love ACNH!! Pat, I believe you could be right!! *It's like this, you can get bored with just about any game!!* There is hope for the future!!🧡🧡
I had a wonderful time at E3 with you. I am not going to stop playing AC.i love the game and I am always changing something. I hope you don't give up on us and continue to play as well.
If people would just stop to predict and hype people there wouldnt be that much disapointment. Sure I understand that content needs to be made but I am sick of predictions. None of them really came true since last year 🤷♂️
i stopped playing a while ago, but i still have hope that we will get something. if they promised a couple years of updates, i trust nintendo. if there’s so much stuff that’s been datamined, i don’t think they would ditch all of it, so we just need to stay patient! :)
I flattened my island months ago and I haven't rebuilt any part of it. I need a big update to reignite the passion.I'm sick of still erasing custom paths when I try and pick something up. I avoid the villagers because they're BORING. I've collected almost everything. I don't even want massive changes or additions, just real QoL. Purchase multiples at Ables... :(
I have almost stopped playing ACNH a few months ago (but still watch your videos). I only go on to buy the limited items and play for no more than 5 to 10 minutes during that time. It makes me sad. 😢😢
I still haven’t gotten Stonehenge from Gulliver. I think once I have that, unless as you said, they shock us, AC will move down to the rank of occasional check in for me.
I firmly believe there will be updates at some point, and they will be bigger updates. Without getting into the industry I work in, we are a year behind on development and updates due to the pandemic, and yes ACNH is a very popular game, but it's already out and Nintendo already got their cash. Right now they have other huge games to get out like BOTW2, so it makes perfect sense they will throw as much resource and focus as they can on whatever will keep the money flowing in. That's just business sense. I am sure they had a roadmap for ACNH, but that it's been pushed back. That doesn't mean it will never come. Development has probably been scaled down until such time as they can catch back up again. It's better to have quality updates than half-assed ones rushed out because the community is getting antsy. We just need to be patient IMO.
Yeah and the dev team also has to work on other games so it makes sense that we would have to be patient, since some of them were probably put into the newer games
This makes sense, but social media has changed the way businesses and consumers communicate. They see people practically begging for content and even willing to throw more money at them. They could make some sort of announcement that more is coming, but they can’t give an exact date yet due to delays. I think people feel ignored.
Really angry at Nintendo for not bringing us a new update. It took me hours of hard work to design my island and I feel like Nintendo don't care about what their fans want in acnh. I feel like the game is over.
I think that if they don’t have an update for us by the end of June, then it’s the death knell for major content being added. They traditionally have put out updates only a day or two before the beginning of the month, and seeing as July is wide open with no holidays, that would be the perfect time for them to drop something. If they don’t then I sadly don’t think they will in the future.
I think Late June and Early July will have something cool to bring. We got swimming in the July update, and pascal returned, so I think we'll get something.
I watched the Nintendo segment of E3 and wasn't expecting anything but I was disappointed when there was NOTHING. As popular as it got last year I was shocked nothing was mentioned.
I haven’t played in months…mostly because building is so cumbersome and it’s been hard for me to get new DIYs and items. I simply don’t have the time to put in. But I love watching your live streams and videos!
There's a couple QOL updates I really want for the game. I'm pretty happy with how the game is right now but batch crafting, bigger bulk purchases in Nooks, and a cart in Ables would make my Animal Crossing gameplay so much better lol.
ALSO, a huge annoyance for me as someone who doesn't play with other people, I wish your Nook Miles items and Nooks items weren't limited to one color variation. I had fingers crossed (but wasn't expecting it tbh) that it would rotate after the first year or something. It makes it super hard to collect the items you want for your island.
Hi Pat! So I’m new to AC and I just started played ACNH in February. I’m still loving the game and basically just getting started. There may be a lot of those in the audience like me that are newer and not getting burnt out yet. I watched your whole livestream today and was disappointed to not see anything new but basically the whole game is new to me still so I don’t have any complaints. :)
I see your point about the commercial aspect of it, I just wish our hopes weren’t up for e3 then to have it make sense why it wasn’t involved. I think it’s plausible for a paid update to get Brewster, dock stuff, new islands to fly to and them just say now we will only do seasonal updates, here’s everything you wanted. ✌️ also I’d love to tour your island. It looks very cool :)
I am feeling in between... ACNH, I have been looking forward to the game! Stuff locked behind updates felt cool and I liked it! But later on the updates just felt less and less... At the start we got cool gimmicks for the game; Dream Suite, Swimming, Redd, and even Bushes were something... Even SITTING and the "Face Paint" stuff were interesting changes... But I noticed allot of this negativity has happened since the Festivale update. I saw how upset fans were due to that being the main thing being added! The Mario Stuff and Anniversary with designs were pretty good. But I saw how angry fans were on 4/28. I kinda am in between and see what others are saying... It's not that ACNH is dead, but it's that the lack of content just upsets fans, as we pretty much did everything in a way. Most people already have a 5-star island! The best we can do is keep redesigning... But we all had our hopes and dreams and ideas for E3... BIG UPDATES. I think the pain comes from our hopes and dreams being shattered. It's okay to feel sad. I see all the negativity and see why others feel this way. We waited for like almost 2 months and got no news! For me, I am in between. I will play sometimes but I am not like going to delete it from my Switch! It might just be on a last-resort-if-I-am-bored list. But I will get on more completed games now-a-days. But there is something I wanna mention; the fact its taking a while could eave to something big. They are trying to patch errors, we see some stuff hinted with like dialog (like when somebody had Clay hint to Brewster). But they have to make sure it works and is incomplete. Would you like it if we got an incomplete update, no updates, or waiting for a good update? Like we still have hope, it's just coding and such takes time :) We will have our roost soon- we just have to bear with Nintendo! They have allot of games planned and can't focus to much on one game without messing up another game.
This was my first E3 I was ACTUALLY was excited for but when nothing was announced that I cared about, I’m not going to play new horizons until it excites me again. In the meantime, I’m going to play my DS game (Story of seasons, trio of towns) from 2016
I haven't played a full year yet ; i'm okay with it . If i could choose , i'd like to buy my catalog and start over . Maybe i'll start over when i hit my 1st year anniversary. But ; i have slowed down playing and today i bought a second game ; a puzzler to play so yeah : marketing.
I love Animal Crossing so much that I barely have time to play Skyrim. Sometimes it’s a little nice to be able to destroy things that aren’t our cliffs.
Since playing Wild World and New Leaf I was excited for ACNH, after playing it for more than a year I can say that nintendo was going for a younger audience, you know with the shorter events and the villagers being so nice and I don't think that would change, but I would also say that this game is not like the old games, ACNH is a design game and it will still like that, which mean I don't think we are getting new builds, but maybe some old NPCs. I think June 27th we will get a twitter post for a 2.0 or 1.11 update which has Capin and a QOL update is a design update, with also some new ocean themed item you can get from pascal.
I personally think that another update will come out in the next week in the form of a Twitter post or short video and I think it could potentially be a big one. Love to all the hooligans! 🧡🧡
As someone who just bought a switch and started playing in November (as a coping mechanism after some really dark stuff went down lmao), I'm still feeling alright about AC. I'm definitely disappointed, but when I haven't even seen all the holidays yet or collected all the creatures, it still feels like there's novelty left. I don't know how long I will continue to play past the one year mark though if nothing changes...
I just want more villager dialogue, multiple islands on one switch, and NPCs like Brewster. I get bored easily but I also depend on acnh for serotonin fdskfskkffksf
Im not playing it no more, my island is done, i got all my fav villagers, museum is complete, got all the diy’s, got all the items i want, what else to do? Absolutely nothing.... its so sad
super upsetting but the game is not dead! even if we dont get a update soon i think we still have plenty to do to actually complete everything! ❤️ looking forward to the fish 100% playthru☺️
NH was my first AC game and I haven't missed a day since I started playing a week after launch. I think for now, I'm about done though. I've reached that point where I'm fairly happy with my island. Happy enough that I don't want to do any major reconstruction. I have basically all my dream villagers and I'm satisfied with all 10 villagers on my island. I have all the fossils, bugs, fish and deep sea creatures. All of Pascal's DIYs, nearly all of the DIYs in the game in fact. I have over 10 million bells and over 300k nook miles and nothing to spend them on. Have all the useless golden tools. All of my friends have quit playing. The only thing I look forward to anymore is Redd and he only shows up like once every 2 weeks. Don't care about playing rehashed events with no new rewards, tired of updates being just a couple of nook mile seasonal items and sick of hearing the same 5 dialogue lines from my villagers. Basically, I want to keep playing. I really do. But there's nothing left for me now. I've pushed myself to keep checking in daily the past couple of months in hopes that we'd get something big at or around E3 but now I think that hope is gone. I told myself I'd make some of the changes to my island that I've been wanting to make if a new big update was revealed, but it wasn't, so that killed my motivation. Sorry, I just have to strongly disagree that a slightly updated Fireworks festival will "be fantastic". That's basically nothing.
I hated the E3 direct, There was no Animal crossing or Pokemon news anywhere to be found, I felt let down and it just goes to so how Nitendeo care about their fans and not even LISSEN to the fans and what they want to see in their games... i was so upset at seeing no pokemon or Animal crossing news i have low expectations for the future of my trust with Nitendeo and as someone who grew up with animal crossing since wild world i feel let down by this direct. Sorry for the long rant i just Had to express how i trully feel about this direct. I really want to see new updates for animal corssing new horizons and I'm still hoping for that Mario party superstar looks intresting and i may pick it up as i am a huge fan of the mario party series as i played Marioparty DS as a kid and i will never be done with animal crossing as i love the game Have a lovely day to anyone who reads this and stay safe out there and let me know how YOU feel in the replys I'd love to hear your thoughts
Like I get the idea of it being a deserted island, but it just feels SO EMPTY without the NPCs / having only capacity for 10 villagers. It also doesn’t help that they add more NPCs via events if they just show once a week or once a MONTH. Also, the standard villagers are so... soulless. Them not being able to get mad at you (unless you assault them MULTIPLE times ) does take a bit from the charm, but things wouldn’t be this bad if they still visited you, had more interactive things to do, reacted to certain items in more creative ways like in Pocket Camp, retail / flee market was back, etc.
For me personally I’m not upset about there being no update in E3 at all. I think it’s a shame because E3 would have been a good stage for a DLC etc but it doesn’t surprise me that it didn’t come up. I think the fact that we are all still watching animal crossing content 15 months later speaks volumes for the game. I used to play this game every single day and now it’s more like every 3 days but that’s okay because that happens with all games. I’m still massively invested in this game way more than I was with previous animal crossing titles. Everyone is different, some people prefer new leaf etc over new horizons but for me I love the design aspect of this game. Anyway chin up we are still here watching your content, I’m not going anywhere any time soon
This was my first real E3. I was very impressed at most of it, extremely excited for games that I had never even thought about playing (Metroid, Warioware, etc). But I was really, really waiting for Animal Crossing news, and none came. Not even a small teaser. Thinking back on it now, I understand why people in the live chat were unimpressed. I'm still expecting a new update to come out in June or July. I quit last year after those months, so I want to go through the rest of the seasons and holidays. What brought me back to the game was Festivale. I know, for people who had played older games, it was boring. But coming back to my villagers in cute outfits, the new reactions, the dialogue - it all reminded me of why I fell in love with it in the first place. Updates were the reason I kept playing. But even with the lack of them, I don't struggle to find motivation like I used to. Don't be mad at Nintendo. They did this for a reason. They maybe should have predicted that many fans would drop off if the game didn't update, but once it does, are you still not going to play? Just because a good update came later than expected doesn't mean it's not a good update.
Actually, one can be mad at Nintendo. I am not mad at Nintendo. But, I certainly will not praise Nintendo. What I can say is this: It appears Nintendo is out of touch, or never was sufficiently in touch, with why people love “Animal Crossing.”
Eh, AC isn’t the only game I enjoy on the switch. I can put it on the back burner and focus on the things coming out. (Pokémon/Mario Party/ BTW2) I don’t see it having any major updates in the future. (Shop upgrades/ Brewster/ Kapp’n) but if it does, I will be both surprised and happy. Kinda feel like they’re gonna string us along with small updates until a new AC. And in that one, give us everything we want but maybe remove the terraforming or the outdoor decor, because you know, they can’t sell us everything in 1 game. Lol
So they didn't announce it today that doesn't mean it's not coming. People need to realize Nintendo at this point is looking at their Christmas cash and what they can start thinking about putting out. I think an updates coming, however, this just wasn't the proper forum. They're not blind to the fact so many are vested in this game and they understand it's still making them a great deal of money. Updates are good for them but new gaming makes them more money.
Uh oh.. ACNH wasn’t at E3. What do you guys think will happen next? Sound off in the comments 🧡
I think we need to make a video to Nintendo and say we want more updates
Honestly, I have no idea any more...
I personally think that nintendo knows how important acnh is to all of its fans and they know they have to perfect any updates they make because if they release and unfinished or flawed update it’ll upset people
Animal Crossing mini direct went thought my mind all a sudden.. hmm
Overall I’m just very upset which I know I’m not alone on this
Agree 1000%
You are not alone, and I usually get a ton of shit for even just pointing out that this is terrible.
Still find it extremely strange how we STILL don't have gyroids...
You said it all its like wow I thought this was the perfect opportunity to announce at least something but no and it's like why but they announced dlc for other games
The worse part is I kept waiting for the surprise announcement even in Treehouse and boom it never came lol
I'm just annoyed the acnh community has to fight for updates that was standard in previous games
literally like all were asking is for stuff that was already in the previous game which was $20 less and on a handheld console. hell, id even take pocket camp style item/clothes/hair drops if we actually got those constantly buy we just get NOTHING. its actually astounding.
Sounds like pokemon if you ask me
Name some previous games other than smash where users pay for the characters.
after 500 hours i pretty much gave up with updates. I had fun while iit lasted. though, hopefuly if they make another game that all this stuff is out on release
@@Claireee1742 pocket camp is free without purchasing upgrades to the game. almost everything in the game is paid for if u want the shiny new stuff that they constantly update...
What i thought "a few years of updates" meant:
- have 75-90% of content return from new leaf
- have new fun stuff
What "a few years of updates" really means:
- holidays with minor changes
- 1-2 returning features from new leaf
- tiny , disappointing updates with a few items each
You hit the nail on the head. This is what I was thinking too!
the like 2 and a half items we get aren’t even that good i mean pocket camp gets so many great things and meanwhile ppl who payed way more for a full on video game get:
“ UwU hello kitty chair
I was so hyped for ACNH at the e3. I would have been happy if they said “we hear you, we are working on an update”😭😭
Very true! I feel like taking 30 seconds to address this would have been a nice nod to the ACNH community.
Yeah even an “update coming in July” (or whenever) thing would have been good.
@@LurnyXs Oh, did they? (I didn't watch the event) Why is nobody taking note of that? Sounds pretty important to me.
Finally some hope!
Nah they would probably announce tiny furnitures that nobody cares about like always.
they didnt mention anything ,all it would of taken is a comment or even coming soon.
@@karencollins1356 like Pat said at the beginning of the video, E3 is typically used as an advertising campaign for new games. So it makes the most sense that it wasn’t there. I’m personally not that surprised and I was still really happy with a lot of the games that came out of E3.
They could have done so much, and gave us absolutely nothing 😓
There are no mental gymnastics I can pull off to justify the best selling switch game of 2020 no-showing at the biggest brand presentation of the past 2 years. I don’t even care about an update at this point. To just flatout say nothing to the 33M+ fanbase is mind boggling to me.
I think this says plenty about Nintendo.
Hahahahaha!! I almost forgot I said this
I just don't understand why Nintendo thinks it's ok to release an unfinished game for full price, then not support it ESPECIALLY when they've sold over 30 million copies!!!
Yes not to mention the last summer update we had was later this month or early next month. I'm certain they'll drop an update later this month or so
@@stormwright8300 or not we’ll see
I think we need something majorly new. New as in a whole new game or expansion or SOMETHING. You can only do so much of the same thing.
That’s how animal crossing has always been though… perhaps you just aren’t a fan of the game
@@Hannah-zw9ow I used to be, maybe I just played it out and should go play an older version to learn to appreciate it again.
I’m honestly upset. Like I get it but even with the small updates, it’s not enough to keep it exciting. I have all the DIY’s my museum is full and I know I can start over but like.. I love the progress I made but we need more. It’s not enough to keep me interested by adding a small flower basket.
That intro music sending instant serotonin through my brain on this slightly blue day 😭💙
Not done with it, but still REALLY disappointed. HOLD ME PAT 😭
Words cannot describe how angry and disappointment I am that they ignored ACHN
Who says they ignored? Maybe whatever they have isn't ready
@@kld8206 Don't be in denial we are fed up with waiting.
AC is the series Nintendo cared the least. Notice the sequel gap and the focus on a small portion of characters?
@@zigaudrey Yeah and they really didn't bother to add all of the NPCs that have been around since the original.
At this point I’m getting so bored of this game will always love it but it’s like there is nothing drawling me in anymore it feels like the same stuff it just getting repeated from last year:(
I always like these videos before I watch. It’s a dangerous game I play.
Same lol
i like every video before I watch. thats why I got 5000+ liked videos.
@@boyfries5080 Nice achievement. I want that.
@@tonberry9930 there must be checks and balances.
i still play every day!!! i feel like youtubers are freaking out with no animal crossing content, but animal crossing is such a versatile game. for me ACNH is a daily regimen for me. its not even a game to me but just apart of my day. its nice to watch live streams of acnh whether on this channel or whoever is streaming. i really hope you and other youtubers don’t give up on acnh bc there is so much life to it and different ways to keep things interesting.
I had really high hopes when I heard “DLC” in the stream 🤣😂
Edit: after watching the video, yeah I don’t expect a Zelda to show up in AC
as frustrated I am that acnh got no news, I still think they’ll give us an update eventually ❤️
I will definitely keep playing. I still play New Leaf and City Folk. This is a great game and I will play it regardless.
That was so funny when Pat went to see the new villager at the campsite and said "God, that was bad". It made me laugh so hard. 😂
Pat.....I feel like our thinking is finally on the same wavelength :P
Personally, even with minimal updates I'm golden.
I do want more crops and fruit though
It is sad that there was not a announcement but I will still look forward to future updates!
Metroid Fans at E3: LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!!
Zelda Fans at E3: LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!!
Animal Crossing Fans at E3: *sigh*
I'm not surprised that animal crossing wasn't at E3. All your reasons made total sense! I love animal crossing, always will, and just because we didn't see it at E3 doesn't mean I'll stop playing. I'll always be hopeful for brewster and other characters, and I'm grateful for the updates they've given us so far! They have a lot on their plate and I'm sure they hear what the AC community wants. It's just a matter of time :)
I almost cried when ACNH didn't show up. We want updates and we want them soon!!
The Lily love is REAL. 💚 😂 She is indeed adorable and my fav. but about the E3, I do believe we will have something else for acnh this year, but got a bit disappointed! The streaming made it awesome tbh
I will still enjoy playing this game. A little bummer but it's not a make or break for me.
Honestly i feel like people are a bit entitled. I've spent more than 200 hours with that game idk pf course u can get bored at some point

If people would just stop to predict and hype people there wouldnt be that much disapointment. Sure I understand that content needs to be made but I am sick of predictions. None of them really came true since last year 🤷♂️
What a livestream earlier Pat, you are such a pro! Was wonderful seeing you interact with the audience live. Fantastic content!
It's been a few weeks since I've picked it to play, and this made it harder for me to do. I'll always love ac, but come on man!
i stopped playing a while ago, but i still have hope that we will get something. if they promised a couple years of updates, i trust nintendo. if there’s so much stuff that’s been datamined, i don’t think they would ditch all of it, so we just need to stay patient!
They could've given a paid update ☹️ a lot of people would pay for that
This makes sense, but social media has changed the way businesses and
consumers communicate. They see people practically begging for content and even willing to throw more money at them. They could make some sort of announcement that more is coming, but they can’t give an exact date yet due to delays. I think people feel ignored.
I’m just gonna sit on my island and wait for an update.
Hopefully I’m not waiting forever...

@@NintenTalk was about to have Ashley yell at you if you hadn't eaten

I watched the Nintendo segment of E3 and wasn't expecting anything but I was disappointed when there was NOTHING. As popular as it got last year I was shocked nothing was mentioned.
I haven’t played in months…mostly because building is so cumbersome and it’s been hard for me to get new DIYs and items. I simply don’t have the time to put in. But I love watching your live streams and videos!
tbh i haven't played ACNH for months now but i'm fine with it because after 500 hours on the game i think i got what the game's worth.
I love Animal Crossing and will keep on playing it!! Thanks for your thoughts, puts things in perspective :-)
Like we still have hope, it's just coding and such takes time :)
We will have our roost soon- we just have to bear with Nintendo! They have allot of games planned and can't focus to much on one game without messing up another game.
I can't believe they were trying to hype us about golf of all things
Ikr golf isn't a sport for children only for 85 and up
This was my first E3 I was ACTUALLY was excited for but when nothing was announced that I cared about, I’m not going to play new horizons until it excites me again.
I think June 27th we will get a twitter post for a 2.0 or 1.11 update which has Capin and a QOL update is a design update, with also some new ocean themed item you can get from pascal.
video quality is looking crisssp 👌
luckily thanks to the commentary videos in the months leading up to today i was prepared for the disappointment. but 😭😭😭 i just want my update!!
Literally all Nintendo needed to do was say "We hear your concerns and we're working on an update!" And I would've been satisfied
I personally think that another update will come out in the next week in the form of a Twitter post or short video and I think it could potentially be a big one. Love to all the hooligans! 🧡🧡
Something small added to the island? Like one or two new items?
Agreed, I literally spent three days last week just catching bugs 🤷🏽♀️ an update would be nice but I don’t need one.
@@Hannah-zw9ow I completed my museum, so I need an update 😂
I really want to see new updates for animal corssing new horizons and I'm still hoping for that
Mario party superstar looks intresting and i may pick it up as i am a huge fan of the mario party series as i played Marioparty DS as a kid and i will never be done with animal crossing as i love the game
Have a lovely day to anyone who reads this and stay safe out there and let me know how YOU feel in the replys I'd love to hear your thoughts
We will get more! ACNH isn’t dead! Keep up the great work Pat!
This video actually made me feel better about the no news for ac ty
I definitely agree with your view. As marketing student I also had the same conclusion.
