Pretty cool review. However, would have liked to hear your guest converse a little more. Don't get me wrong, Teddy. You're very knowledgeable but I'm sure your guest had some interesting stories and facts to share as well. Thanks. Love your channel!
@@gmshadowtraders I appreciate that it's Teddy's show. But a mutual interchange of thought should consist of one being less dominating during a conversation as well as less 'stepping on" one another during the conversation. Just my opinion. Thank you!
Kenneth D Jones same thoughts here, could do with less Teddy since he went to the trouble of bringing in a guest. Great content nonetheless. Keep it up!
Very cool history. Love the patina on the 6542s. Only problem with the GMT masters in my eyes is that if I was going to currently buy a Rolex GMT, I'd struggle not to buy a Explorer II 16570 for 1/3rd the price
Batman (oyster) for me. Tried many GMTs and Subs. Own a Batman, it always rekindle my love for GMT (2 tone bezel) when I look at it. The contrast is much more “alive”. With the half black bezel it brings me class and earnest. Another half blue bezel brings me fun and inner joy through the good times as well as the bad. Most importantly I can wear it formal and informal. 🖤💙
That was awesome you were at Bob's! Can you do the same thing with the Submariner? I always wanted a GMT but I realize I would never have a use for a 2nd or 3rd time zone.
OT - would love to see a video about straps. When/why change the one that came with the watch, how to pick a replacement (what are the factors: type, style, ...), and my pet peeve: why NATO straps.
Really enjoy these types of videos. I enjoy all of your content, but having something a little different is very welcomed. Paul had some extremely good points, awesome guest on the show.
I'm curious. The 6542 is listed here as being manufactured from 1954 to 1959, but I saw on "Antique's Roadshow", an appraisal of a 6542 that was manufactured in 1960.
Great stuff! If I were ever able to afford a Rolex, I would definitely go to Bob’s! You know your gonna get the real deal! Those vintage pieces are nothing short of Gorgeous!
Great video Teddy. As a very lucky owner of a Coke that i received back in 1995 and Batman that I stumbled upon in 2017, it was great seeing this. Keep it up!
Nice watches. I just wished that Paul talk more about his watches instead of the host of the show. It looks like the host is trying to explain those watches to the owner!
Nice to hear the mention of the Glycine Airman. I had one (gifted to my airline pilot son-in-law) and they’ve an overlooked classic. Very dodgy for the Glycine brand following the sale to Invicta 🙁 but their earlier watches are terrific.
@@TeddyBaldassarre I really like Glycine and I hope they go back to making smaller watches. Supposedly Invicta doesn't have too much control over Glycine and they operate fairly independently, but it's hard to deny the influence. But they're converting back to the old logo and hopefully smaller (42 mm and less) watches will make a come back.
That was an excellent overview of the GMT range Teddy. A great video for sure and I'd say one of your best. Keep up the great work! Greetings from Hong Kong.
This is part of the reason why the Tudor Black Bay GMT is enjoying so much popularity; it borrows heavily from the Rolex GMT Masters of yesteryear, but with a modern movement and metallurgy. And in terms of quality it's still more or less a Rolex, but at a much more affordable price.
I loved the fact that there are two sophisticated watch intellectuals in this. Not one that is and the other that just was the money to buy whatever. This was truly a great video 👏🏽👏🏽 Omega next time?
I want an Explorer 2 polar....probably the newer 42 mm with orange hand....when I have saved up will probably go to Bobs watches....there website is phenomenal!
Love the Chanel... but.. When it is just you and the camera - talk, talk, talk, talk, BUT when you are interviewing an expert - ask, listen to answer, ask, listen to answer. But either way amazing stuff, you and watchfinder are probably the best on RUclips
thanks guys for your comments on this video, I like Teddy, but not like to listen an interviewer asking and answering at the same time, and really I am Fed up with all the rolex stuff, so I will pass this video
Happy 116710 owner here. I got mine before the recent "phaseout" at this year's Baselworld which further increased the prices of the outgoing model. Much prefer the oyster bracelet over the jubilee. Shame though, because the new GMT Master II has a newer, much better movement.
Thanks for sharing Teddy!! Great historical view to the GMT, Diet Pepsi (Jubilee) still not for me, regular Pepsi (Oyster) or a Coke is my taste...Thanks again for another gr8 video!
Man, I would love just anyone of these watches. All beautiful! One of these days. Can't complain though as I already own Datejust 41mm and a Submariner from 2000.
It drives me crazy when claims are made that the 1675 is affordable [this fuschia bezel with unpolished case will run you +20k] or that the 16760 is in ‘abundant supply’. Where and for who exactly? In the latter case, it’s nearly impossible to find one with an original (tritium) dial and hands. Most dials degraded badly from age and this short production watch is extremely rare in its unpolished original form. Trust me, I’ve been searching for nearly a decade.
I was very lucky to have bought my 16760 fat lady on its original Jubilee when I did, I love the piece , it's my favorite Rolex and has gone up in value quite a bit..
Batgirl and Pepsi are not that hard to get anymore, the secondary market price should drop a little bit. I got one each plus a root beer two tone from my AD within the last 4 month, they are no longer impossible to get folks!
Teddy. Let the man speak. All due respect, we really wanna hear from his experience, my man.
@Mauro Oliveira Teddy is the Sean Hannity of watch videos.
I just got my first luxury watch yesterday. I got the blue omega aqua terra 41mm and love it so far.

Teddy's show! One day HE will be sharing his stories. You're in the presence of a legend in the making.
Cut out portions of the video, didn't mean to dominate the conversation, just like loading in as much info as I can in a short period.
@@gmshadowtraders I appreciate that it's Teddy's show. But a mutual interchange of thought should consist of one being less dominating during a conversation as well as less 'stepping on" one another during the conversation. Just my opinion. Thank you!
@@TeddyBaldassarre I feel ya. Just offering my feedback. That's all. I do love your videos regardless.

I’ve a massive soft spot for the black black gmt with a green gmt hand and idealy jubilee
Batman with jubilee looks absolutely wonderful
In my opinion the Oyster Bracelet fits the GMT better than the Jubilee does.
Great Video!
Greetings from Germany 🤙🏼😄
I think most would agree with you. Thanks for watching and Guten Tag! Haha
German 10/10 😂👍🏼🤙🏼
Tim K You’re right. The Jubilee just doesn’t suit the watch.
Exactly,,,, the oyster bracelet gives it more weight and it feels better on the wrist
I love these videos. I love the GMT and it was great seeing all these variants in one place. Thank you Teddy :)
Great job! Nice video mate

That was informative and fun! I can drool can’t I . I still love my Tudor Black Bay GMT Pepsi...
I talked to bob watch the other day. I love these guys, great price and friendly. Will buy from them next
This vid plus the producer Micheal one...pure GMT gold
Host can’t stop himself from talking. Very poorly done.
The guy has no class nor tact nor knowledge...says the most demanded watches .. yeah right if Pepsi is what is then Daytona and sky dweller
Host keeps talking more .. blah blah blah... why go there if you talk more. Let your guest talk more unique stories
One of your best vids yet, Ted! Keep the great content coming
Great video that I’ve watched many times. Could listen to Paul all day long such a charismatic guy . 👍🏻
Hello from Malaysia
Again..
My best watch video
I’m 22 (21 when I walked into the AD), waited 5 months and just got the call and purchased the 126710BLNR! Couldn’t believe my luck.
First!!! Being a broke college student, I’m just gonna wait for the Timex Milgauss GMT Fifty Fathoms.
New back to school video coming!
SlayerRock4ever that model reference sounded really cool... Lol
SlayerRock4ever get a Seiko. It’s essentially a Rolex without any good marketing gimmicks
@@tomkhong9828 you've never held a rolex, have you?
Jacksonk75 K good questions. I have 3 sport Rolex , 4 seikos and a GS. I have to say the quality is below GS

Hey Teddy, what do you think of Thomad Earnshaw watches? And are they a good choice to start a collection with? Specially the automatic ones
Awesome Video!!
Four digits rolex watches are so pretty
Great video
Talk less, listen more
“I never learned anything while I was talking”
Did the 16700 get mentioned, or did I miss it? Or was this exclusively on the GMT Master II’s?
another great collab my man! 👍
Sorry Teddy, I'm so over the Rolex Hype and prices... they're starting to come down now for a few models.

Way to go Teddy !!

I didn't see my '94 16713 on a 2 tone jubilee which I love
A Rolex that’s always interested me we’re the oyster perpetual date not the datejust but the 34mm date. Maybe a future video?

Badass video
12:21 that eye of the tiger...
No love for the 50th anniversary green dial? It's the best one with that black bezel!
The "batman" looks great with the jubilee
100% agree. Looks much better on jubilee than the PCL oyster
Ok now I’ll subscribe

Have you considered reviewing Yema watches? Unique French history and very reasonably priced.

love the look of the new Pepsi GMT on jubilee
Feels like reference points of Hodinkee but different ....
Still can’t decide between the Pepsi or the Batman… Been stumped by this for a year

IMO vintage rolex pepsi especially 1670 appears more iconic compare to others

Yeah we can do that next trip.

Keep up the interview vids!
Ti want to see the 1 remaining digital Rolex, the first Rolex to cross the English channel, and the one explorer to top Mt. Everest
I have a 2002 SS GMT Master II “Coke”, bought new in 2002.
I enjoyed it alot. (Kind of as always...)

Ok why are your shirt sleeves so tight. Sure, you may have big biceps but the shirt doesn't need to hug you close.
I like the slim fit
Can you put an oyster bracelet on the new Batman after you buy, will it fit
I’m here
Where’s all the root beer🧐
Anyway, I do prefer the modern versions. Own the Batman and will never sell - unless I absolutely have to.
I don't mind if you create 20 minutes video but it should be more conversation. I feel in this video you look like going to some kind of exam.
