It’s the head issue. Replace the head. And it’s fine. That’s what I did. And it’s working with other heads. The I put on first got damaged. Or not synchronising with flash. No software issue.
Just got mine this Friday and it failed during my first shoot with it today .. just stopped firing midway through the shoot .. I hate to think that I bailed on Yongnuo to soon
contactpq I got a replacement from Godox and that hasn't failed me yet. One thing about this unit is that it has automatic heat protection circuitry. If you use it for an extended time period (no clue how long), the battery will reach a certain temp and unit will stop firing on demand. I've seem most users overcome this by purchasing a spare battery.
Thanks for your reply Paul. Unfortunately, you will probably need to buy a new one. Once it dries out completely, it may start working again but it won't be consistent anymore. I got this unit repaired and it worked great for several months before I started having problems again. I just bought a replacement
I am in Sierra Leone and I don't trust the repairing system here, and also I don't think they have the replacement parts if need be. Any advice on where it can be sent for repair.
@@pauljangba7093 the two resources I have for repair of this equipment are here in the US. I'm not sure if the cost of replacing the flash will be close to or equal to that of repair
I'm sad to say that these are proving to be quite unreliable for many photographers. I have one as well and on the first shoot, the bulb just stopped working. I switched to the flash head to finish shooting, but lost my ability to use the Godox softbox that I got for use with the bulb. A few weeks later I used it and the bulb was working again without problems and then all of a sudden it stopped again. After several attempts over a few days, I gave up on it. Thinking it was a faulty bulb, I ordered another one and put it on the unit. It worked!!! Then I tried the original bulb just for laughs...... it also worked! WTF!?!?!! Wrote Godox, but no reply after several days. Beware everyone!
P-Jay Wyche the problem is bulb head. No the bulb i guess they get hot an stop working so you have to wait for it to cold down and they work again. So is better to have two. Sorry for my english. I just want to help
Highlighted reply jaiderdrummer, thank you for your input. Now that I actually have two bulbs, I'll try this out. Though last time, it was fairly cold outside while shooting and I did try the bulb again after about two hours and it didn't fire. I'm sure it would have cooled down by that time.(by the way, your english is great!)
jaiderdrummer wrong. I use the ab-d2 mount for running double bulbs and I get the issues. It burnt up 2 bulbs in 2 weeks. This is the last time I follow RUclips hype for a product.
I've found my experience to be quite the opposite actually. Once I got my unit replaced by Godox, got the original repaired, and bought two additional bare bulb heads, I've had absolutely no other fault issues with these units. Year 2 and they're still going strong!
That means that the heads are not connected properly. I would take a blower and blower into the connector to make sure theres no dirt in there. The only thing I would recommend in the future, not to buy from Godox if you are in the US. Buy your equipment either from Adorama or BHphoto. Better return policy and at least you have someone to yell at. Godox does not give three jacks. Also, if you bought it from Amazon, check in your order section if the kit is still returnable. I am sorry to see you are having that issue. I bought my kits from adorama and all my godox = flashpoint gear from them. I had one product I hated, called them and got it returned. I kept having problems with syncing my flashes. They FaceTime me and walked through the whole process. Adorama's team go through a lot of headaches to make sure the Godox stuff works.
alberto cabrera Thank you! That advice was already given & will be followed in the future! Vendor did send me a replacement after seeing this video. No questions asked. BTW, it’s actually a circuit board issue. I’m having it repaired
Ah it happened to me, but it was because I didn't have the head connected. But luckily I have not had that issue at all. Man, very happy to hear the vendor took care of you. My experience, they don't . The power of social media!
who has figured out a solution to this problem? shoot is the problem with the bulb or the bulb holder. The bulb stopped working on first use. after a few days, i tried using it again and it was working. Took it out for a shoot today, it stopped working few hours into the shoot. got home to try it again and it was working on continous shoot. I dont have same problem once i am using the frensel head. I have used the frensel head for a shoot that lasted several hours (morning till evening) and i had no issues. My vendor doesnt mind me returning the bulb and bulb holder but i am concerned he will get the unit i claim is faulty, test it at his end and the bulb will be working
I had this happen to mine. It was the solder joints on the board that connects to the flash heads. The set of 4 pins on the end are how the flash head tells the flash what kind of head it is. If the solder joints are bad then it can't receive the signal from the flash head telling or there is a head connected. Bust out you soldering iron and reflow the solder. (Just make sure you pull the board off from the flash capacitors first so you don't fry yourself...)

Actually, it was not a head issue in my case. I had one or more of the boards replaced. It worked again for a while, then it stopped working again.
My Ad200 is just blinking and not working properly even the battery is charged and how can I reset it
Same here. Mine comes on after a lot of fidgeting with it. Once on the screen will slowly start to fade until it goes out and shuts down.

I have two AD360 units. One of them was on a stand that survived getting kicked over by a runner on a stand, and the other one just simply quit.
DO NOT screw it unless you have attached a modifier !!! It's for the Godox modifiers, not for the lamp. You will break the bulb.
Mine is show e3, it fell from one of my photographers hand into water, I got it to power on but now showing E3. Any help

im totally in love with my ad600pro and the ad200 but after four shootings both accu packs died.......
If it's an option, definitely take it back. If not, there are two very good repair options here in the US.
I am facing same problem. Did u find any solution for this?
