That beach looks beautiful! We are going on our first cruise on Symphony May 2025 and now I’m already thinking about Icon or Star and I don’t even know how we are going to like it lol. My girls will be 11 & 9 at time of trip.
@AmandaLander, you will love symphony! We have been on allue and harmony just a few months ago as well. Those are both the same class of ship as symphony. We loved them both, and so did our kids. We have told others our thoughts, once you go on Icon or star, your cruising baseline is set really high, so we think it's best to start with other ships like symphony to get your feet wet and then experience icon because it is on another level hahah. My wife and I both said it would be hard to cruise on anything else after icon. You will have to let us know how your cruise goes! @@CzechInWithTheGskis oh awesome! I’m going to go back and watch your videos. We figured Symphony would be a good start for a first real travel vacation because it’s going out of Cape Liberty, and we live in MA so we can drive there and not have to deal with flying.
@AmandaLander that's perfect! That's basically how we started cruising as well. We typically go out of Galveston, which is close by to us. Then, with icon, we took the kids on their first plane ride to Miami, but it surely saves a lot of money by staying local and going out of Galveston.
I don't recall the exact price, but I want to say it was $12 each for kids and $14 each for adults, one way, then there is a $7 per person entry fee for Magens Bay Beach.
