Kids really wanted to meet Lilo and Stich, which while staying at the polynesian. They also wanted to meet Aerial, Anna, and Elsa. We met all of their favorites and must haves and more during our 7 day magical adventure.

For us, not really. We just kept an eye on meet and greets and asked if our kids were interested in meeting them lol

Our kids love Elsa and Aurora and would have them in their top picks.

Definitely a close one, but I would have to say the camera man by a chewbacca hair length lol

Thanks for the really nice comment! We surely are seeing how fast time goes by, that's for sure. It is partly why we created our channel, to make memories, live in the moment, and then get to re-live those memories later.

@@CzechInWithTheGskis I wish that I had taken more time and attention with my kids when they were young. Time cannot be repeated.

When people told us before having kids,"time flies by" we sort of just brushed it off and didn't think twice about it, but after having them and then basically blinking they are already about to turn 6 and 4. We constantly ask ourselves where did the time go. We hope you still are enjoying time with your kids even if they're grown up ❤️

@@CzechInWithTheGskis When they were growing up, it seemed that their youth would last forever, while we took care of them. Now I am 78 and my daughter is preparing to take care of me. Tempus fugit.

Lol, in hindsight, we would have picked an easier channel name, hahahah, but since it's so long, I came up with the idea to shorten it, hahah. We have met a few people on our adventures while videoing, and they asked for our channel name, and its easier to say CIWTG 😉 thanks again for leaving the comment! We love the engagement!

We absolutely loved the ship, and yes, tons to do for the kids of all ages! Our kids are 3 and 5 and loved Surfside. To be honest, we spent most of our time there. I would say most of the teens were at the waterpark (6) waterslides, FLOWRIDER, Rockwall, and basketball court. The ship is designed to couple those age groups in certain areas of the ship, and honestly, you never have to leave the area. In all the areas, they have food options designed for that age group. Example at Surfside they have what I call a mini Windjammer that has food the kids love like pizza, mini burgers, chicken strips and fries, and so much more. I would say there is also alot to do for those who don't have kids as well, alot of people loved the dueling piano bar, the shows were absolutely amazing, we loved the waterslides, pro tip they stay open until 9pm and there is basically no lines after 7pm. We loved Crowns edge, but certainly a one and down kind of thing, mini golf course was well designed, the playmaker bar was another great spot to hang out. When we were on the ship, it was spring break, so yes, a lot of kids were there, but honestly, I think they designed the ship so well that it didn't feel overwhelming. You will have to let us know how your trip goes and if it has a lot of kids as well. We are curious what the ship is like when kids are in school.

That beach looks beautiful! We are going on our first cruise on Symphony May 2025 and now I’m already thinking about Icon or Star and I don’t even know how we are going to like it lol. My girls will be 11 & 9 at time of trip.

@AmandaLander, you will love symphony! We have been on allue and harmony just a few months ago as well. Those are both the same class of ship as symphony. We loved them both, and so did our kids. We have told others our thoughts, once you go on Icon or star, your cruising baseline is set really high, so we think it's best to start with other ships like symphony to get your feet wet and then experience icon because it is on another level hahah. My wife and I both said it would be hard to cruise on anything else after icon. You will have to let us know how your cruise goes! If you have any questions, let us know, and we will be happy to help as best we can!

@@CzechInWithTheGskis oh awesome! I’m going to go back and watch your videos. We figured Symphony would be a good start for a first real travel vacation because it’s going out of Cape Liberty, and we live in MA so we can drive there and not have to deal with flying.

@AmandaLander that's perfect! That's basically how we started cruising as well. We typically go out of Galveston, which is close by to us. Then, with icon, we took the kids on their first plane ride to Miami, but it surely saves a lot of money by staying local and going out of Galveston.

What hotel is this?

@Cruisinthrulife we stayed at wyndham palm-aire in Pampano Beach, Florida. Jennifer's parents have a timeshare that they graciously let us use to help save money on hotel cost. If this wasn't an option for us, we probably would have stayed somewhere closer to the port, but I would say it was a life saver to stay here for free.

Grease was actually really good. Of course, nothing can compare to the original, hahah. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for this show. it's totally worth it! Just a PSA there is some sexual innuendo, so if your kids would catch on to some it, it may not be appropriate, our kids are 5 and 3 and they didn't notice any of it, they were focused on all the songs and dancing, so we didn't have any issues.

Appreciate the support! We hope yall have an amazing time on your upcoming cruise!!! Lol, and yes, if you want to keep your ring, please take it off before, hahah. As far as things to do in Galveston, I would recommend checking out pleasure pier. It does cost money to go there, but there are rides and games to enjoy (assuming the weather is favorable). Check height restrictions and things before going to make sure your little one can enjoy. Another great spot would be Moody Gardens. They have a couple different exhibits that our kids love and, of course, all the animals. Again, this cost money but will certainly fill a day and is mostly inside, so if the weather is bad you can still have fun! Finally, if yall have a sweet tooth, I totally would recommend going to La King's Confectionery on the Strand. Our kids love their ice cream and malts. It's not too far from the carnival and old royal cruise terminals. Have fun on your trip!!!
