❤ Hands down best skid plate available for the Tuareg. I can confirm that it fits great with the Outback Motortek crash bars. Great work Cory and the rest of the Camel ADV team. I looked at every skid plate available, and nothing else was quite as well thought-out. I Just finished installing one with the skid liner on the first bike and can't wait for the second one to show up so we can start 'field testing' both bikes a bit harder than we already have!
I've heard a lot of negative information on the center stand for serious off-road use. My understanding is that because it is spring loaded, it drops down during hard off-roading. I skipped getting the center stand for our bikes and would recommend just removing it if it becomes a problem, or if you want to mount the best skid plate available.
@DadCanFixAnything If I were to do any serious offroad work, I'd remove it or at least look for away to zip tie it in place. This skid plate appears solid, and those who best benefit from it probably shouldn't have a centerstand anyway. My use though is different.
Thank you for the video. Q: Any reason why you would make the oil drain plug inaccessible unless the skid plate was completely removed? Seems like a hole directly below the oil drain plug would be useful. I didn't notice if the oil filter could be spun off without removal of the skit plate. Is it serviceable with the skid plate on? Thanks.
Proof of concept via sledgehammer, awesome!

Your skid hammer/skid plate antics reminds me of my wife when I bring home a new bike…
cool, show us some riding on that badass Tuareg you can see proper dirt tires ;]
Jesus that was a brutal opening
That was impressive!! 😮 🎉 I love your products I have on my t7, thanks for all your hard work 👌
Glad you like them!
Thanks for that awesome sledgehammer test 😮
Waiting for the setup with SW Motech crash bars
That's a really nice unit, I'll be sure to get one when I get my Taureg (next year)
Well shit, I started thinking it was never coming.....just purchased a different one about 2 weeks ago.
Looks good & very well thought out
Dude... I know. We had battles at every turn, it seemed. Delay after delay. I was expecting this have this plate out in late February.
Way to test it big guy! Camel adv nothing better
Go big or go home.
I already asked about compatibility with SW Motech crashbars, but I also have the Aprilia centerstand. Please confirm fitment with that also. Thanks!
We have SW Motech bars ordered to test fit up; no info for you yet. Center stands are not compatible.

Hey Corey! How are the rest of the parts coming along? Wanting a 1 finger clutch, high fender kit and end can for my tuareg
More bits and pieces coming!
👍👍👍👍
If I send you guys some photos and measurements do you think you can tell me if this will work with my Racepro Crashbars?
I've looked for RacePro crash bars but they aren't easy to find. You can email some photos I'll answer if I can.
@@CamelADV will do!
Hahahaha!! Great video oppening! Awesome!! Hahaha!!
3:55 xD
Are you planning to produce crash bars as well?
We're not doing any crash bars at this time... but we weren't making skid plates until we did either ;) Alway evolving.
What do people think of the tourag against the tenere ? Thinking of trading my gs in for one or the other I can’t seem to find any to demo
The Touraeg is a Tenere with luxuries
@@theunheardprophet4315 tourag it is then lol 👍🏻
Youre asking someone on YT? There are tons of comparisons if you search. The short answer is its better in almost everyway.
@@CanadianTexaninLiguria ok dear don’t get your knickers in a twist. Calm down and go and finish doing your nails. Jee’s . . . Women.
@@ownyourworld Actually, I am the one finishing his nails 👀
Hi, what wheels does it have? Thanks!
Stock Aprilia wheels.
Yes, at a glance and no leakas.
I can't see you using the Tuareg the same way as the T7 - the engine characteristics wouldn't be as suitable....
Just get over the image and ride it. The Aprilia is amazing - I’ve ridden both the T7 and Aprilia and currently own the Aprilia
The website has products for Aprilia but not Suzuki?!?!. That's wack man.. vstrom isn't the new cool hotness yet i guess.
