Chicago Bears $4.7BN Stadium Revealed!

The Chicago Bears are set to build a $4.7 billion stadium! The city deserves to have this kind of groundbreaking architectural phenomenon. It's about time the Bears upgraded their stadium to become world class. But is this achievable? And what does this project have to offer to the city?

If a team wants a stadium let the team build the stadium and let the team pay for the stadium and they can make the profits. If it's such a great investment they should have no problem doing it get a bunch of Rich billionaires and make it happen. But nope we're going to raise taxes on the poor people of Illinois and screw them some more because they need a big shiny something.

This is a propaganda piece for the Bear ownership. It would cost the taxpayers over 3 billion, never solve the parking problem, and all the projections of benefits to the city are fantasy. In addition the arrogant Bear ownership wants to retain all parking and concession income. They also want the revenue from all other events in this proposed stadium. This is another example of billionaire owners taking the public for suckers.

Soldier Field was only supposed to be a temporary home for the Bears when they left Wrigley Field in 1970. It was never a good place for football and the remodel only made it marginally better but it is ugly and inadequate.
